Both of you are 100% wrong
Na Una dey run go Frontend and Backend , foolishly following the crowd..
Go and check the statistics , last year alone more than 1.8million Indians from slums moved into tech why?

Cos they ain't rushing over the Html and CSS programming nonsense...

Anyways what do I know

Make Una no even join the tech , leave it for us

Collins1507:
The filtering is not small, when it gets to the 3rd level, you'll have no option than to advise yourself to find another path for yourself.
I think it's over_hyped too.
The whites can't release the main secret to us and loose dominance in the tech world.

Leave Python , learn Golang

That's why I said this is far from following the crowd mentality

I don't know might create a thread or group or something on this .

Forget Job boards for now , you make money through other means in this field as a Newbie ( at least to pay Ur bills and upgrade your machines / tools)

Go DevOps route , extend your python knowledge into Golang ,
Dedicate just 3 weeks to learn Linux commands, Networking basics, virtualization , git

Then head into CI/CD and docker
Knack Kubernetes

Also start writing early ...

If you no leave Trenches in 4 months make I know why

And I say this with all boldness .

Una dey tempt me to create a well structured Mobile app that would teach you this Roadmap 😳

coldzobo:
Boss you are very correct. I take this your post as the universe giving me a nudge to go ahead and learn dev ops.

Ive been doing a lot of research about it since i went on Upwork and obseved that most devops, kubernates, and docker jobs dont get a lot of bids unlike web dev jobs, and the pay is usually huge.

I was thinking of doing data analysis but almost everybtom dick and harry is doing it couple with the fact that its hard to get remote data jobs, and even data jobs in nigeria are not much.

I then decided to start downloading web dev tutorials today( sold my 0.2 ltc to get #10,000)before i remembered that i have a video of travis media recommending newbies get into tech via dev ops.

Boss abeg do you mind taking me under your wings ? I have 7 months till the end of my service year. I no want dey carry file upandan cry

Ive been learning python since February and i was delighted when i found out its one of the recommended languages to learn while going the dev ops route

IMO, I think this programmer stuff have been over flogged and have lost it's relevance.. I may be wrong.

But aren't there other well paying non tech skills?
Over flogged?
Oh you mean HTML, CSS , JAVASCRIPT and all those we development nonsense you all call programming .

Even though I'm against how Nigerians throw the word programming around which is wrong and hurting the Tech community il say ,
With this mentality you are going to stay so long in the trenches ...

Obviously you can't run simple research online , and find out what's the state of things ...

If you are 23 and you Think TECH as a whole has been over flogged (not programming ) , then you are going to waste lots of time , money , learning those Forex, digital marketing , Ads , blogging and all those things that would never work....

See , take it from me being one who has done everything you can think of when it comes to Making money online

Don't do Programming or all that shit

Get into tech but through CloudNative Engineering ... If you are planning for something that would set you up for life .

If you want something that would work , I dropped a rough roadmap somewhere in this thread to help others too ...

Don't ask for my number cos obviously you have written tech off .. and I'm too busy with the Remote company I work for and other paid Articles I write in same field

You can easily make $700 and above in the next 3 months , with the time , and resources you listed you have ....

But what do I know
Why I dey cast am self ...

Abeg y'all should leave TECH and PROGRAMMING O

go and be doing Forex

The way people like you are quick to mention or recommend programming anytime someone ask for advice on a skill to learn, one will think that it's something everyone can do..You people are gradually bastardising this field and making it look like a get rich quick something.... 95% of Acclaimed programmers in Nigeria only started programming because of this same thing you're preaching to the OP and that is why most of them are and will remain quacks.. Nowadays i wouldn't even advice any company to hire Nigerian programmers because all of them are in it with the hope of getting rich quick.. But one thing i really love about that field is that, if 100 people Start the journey today, 90 will give up along the way, and 5 will end up becoming quacks... the field just has a way of filtering the best and those that really have the passion for it..
Though I might say the poster u quoted , got it wrong and not to sound harsh or rude, but in your life never ever talk off or write off TECH as a proven way of leaving poverty right now .

Infact I blame all these people who peddle HTML, CSS AND JAVASCRIPT NONSENSE. "PROGRAMMING IS THE LEAST WAY RIGHT NOW OF MAKING IT IN TECH"

The Indians never have this mindset and it's why my colleagues keep bringing in mentees every fucking day ...

Meanwhile we Nigerians are quick to write it off or discourage newbies looking to jump into tech and yes you can get into it as a Get rich Quick scheme ,

Nigerians are the smartest people who would jump into something out of poverty and fuel it with "Poverty-as-a-Passion"

Im only correcting this your mentality incase you have younger ones or kids who might make it in the TECH ECOSYSTEM.

FORGET PROGRAMMING , HTML, JAVASCRIPT, CSS, FRONT END , UI/UX AND ALL THAT NOISE ..

Find me one person who is a CLOUDNATIVE KUBERNETES NEWBIE for the last 4 months and in that category you mentioned , and let's check something .

Truth is we follow the bandwagon , saturate the space and then blame the whole Tech Ecosystem .

If this guy up here follows the advice I placed , in 3 months he isn't only making at least $700 monthly upwards, but also collaborating , contributing and networking with Indians, Americans, and more in the tech space ..

You are talking of Nigerian companies ..go and ask how many real techie you think are applying to Nigerian companies ?

You sound in the past ...

Except for unicorns and cool startups like Flutter, paystack, piggyvest and so on , the best minds here are either working remote or leaving ...

Dey play

I know more than 50 young people who started tech (the right way) in the last 16 months , who are now making at least $1000 - $2,500 currently ....

You can write off the general Web development and programming jargon people throw around , but never ever write off TECH as an Ecosystem and the best way to leave the trenches Legally.

NEVER

NO MAKE ME VEX BEFORE I DROP EVIDENCE HERE
CareerRe: What Valuable Online Skill Can A 23 Year Old Learn Now? by EmperorVamo:
Ok so I'm gonna say something at this point .

Someone mentioned "learn programming " and I can see the responses he got ... Forget HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT e.t.c ...forget all that crypto, Forex , digital marketing ....

But il say this yes Tech is your surest way of leaving poverty in the next 3 months .

But not as people say it .. (don't do web development or all that frontend and backend shit)

If I were to give one solid advice as my Indian colleagues are doing il say this :

Don't learn programming

Instead learn a CloudNative tool like KUBERNETES
But first you learn Linux, virtualization, Networking , Containerization , then Kubernetes,

Now listen , you start contributing to OPEN SOURCE via GitHub every fucking day ..

Then pick up Technical Writing on these same things ... Join the tech community, we are not loud , but see people get doings like mad

If you do all these and in 4 months you are making at least $700-$1000 dollars Monthly , by December 2023.

See all those people writing off programming up there , are because they only know Web development , frontend , backend people , and that whole HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT nonsense is crowded and saturated ...

I dare anyone here to show me any KUBERNETES ENGINEEER , or Kubernetes enthusiast for the last 4 months who isn't making at least 500 dollars Monthly

Send me an email

Is this quote for 12v or 24v system?

The amount for panel will get you Original Jinko 475W from Gennex @ 129,500.

40A cc, you sure say no be PWM him go install for you?

The amount quoted will get you 10mm² (2,200).

Look for another installer please.

Making profit is good, but making targeted weekly profit from an individual from a single deal/sales is something else.

Always tell your prospective installer to state product name in the quote.

You can reach out to installers here for quote!
I already started talking to Geenex for that exact Jinko 475w PVs before even coming to.post this here thank you very much

This feels like a sign I'm going in the right direction.

My existing backup setup is

2kva /24v Inverter
2 units of 220Ah /12v tubular batteries

Please I'm tight on budget , I have just 350k to integrate solar on it
( basically to
charge about 15 phones,
power a 68W sound system ,
Starlink WiFi 75W
Dc fans (24W ) × 5
1 laptop / computer (50W)

From 8am to 5pm

That's all

Please can 1 545W Jinko panel serve this purpose?
( grid supply comes like 2 or 3 nights in a week and charges the system fully )

HealthRe: Midlife Crisis: Am I Slowly Becoming Addicted To Alcohol? by EmperorVamo: 3:18pm On Mar 03, 2023
Curiouscity:
Using alcohol to alleviate some of your feelings, such as anxiety and frustration, will not help you in the long run. Some people get burnt during this stage of life, some emerge stronger and richer/bigger.
1. Identify the the things that you are worried about.
2. Find a confidant to share. It could be a spouse, or a close friend
3. Try to learn a new skill or craft.
4. Get busy with something that is not part of your daily routine. If you like cooking, learn new recipes. If you are in tech, learn new programming language or any tech skills.
5. If you have kids, play more with them. Set out time to be the one responsible for them. This will engage you a lot.

Alcohol can come at night before bedtime. But let it be limited. Too much Alcohol does not only impair your response time, it opens a hole in your pocket. If you're going through a financial crisis, downing expensive brands of liquor is like pouring gasoline on fire.
From your comment its obvious you know nothing about life...... Alcohol helps

herohero70:
I recommend Sagamu passport office for International passport processing. I went for capture on the 21 Oct, my passport was dated 27 Oct but I picked it up on 14 Nov. I started the process end-Aug, made N70k payment online for the 64-page/ 10-year passport and scheduled 21 Oct capture date online. I drove to Sagamu from Lagos and spent less than 1 hour for capture, well cared for at their airconditioned waiting room. Collection was the same experience.
This is one time I remember praising a Nigerian Government agency. Hopefully, the capture date scheduling can be shortened to mere days in future.
Shout out to Officer Ajagbe of NIS Passport office Sagamu!
Bro fact is this , if you go through the DIY route , they are scared these days and feel you know wat u doing , and you can cast them

They respect us DIY Geng

I did 64page / 5 years for 30k , add transportation and other choppings 35k total!

Getting my passport was hell! I spent over 95k for a regular passport just to hasten things up but I ended up waiting 4months! This used to be a same day process in 2014.
.
At the capturing they would call in VIPs and people with referrals allowing them to jump queues...I stayed from morning till 8pm to get my capturing done. To Japa from that country, you will see hell...
.
Immigrations office Ilorin, Lagos airport international wing, federal ministry of education and federal ministry of foreign affairs, na God go punish all the corrupt officials there. Nigeria is ruined.
...
I bet you can't spend anything less than 60k for a regular passport right now.
.

Yes, I said it first
Most of you wait until it's urgent before u do the needful, while some of you are so lazy and useless u have to pay them for it !

I followed the passport thread on travel section , guess what ? 2022 I spent only 35k for a 64 page 5 years passport ...

DIY , from A-Z at ikoyi o , mad people there

But I got it in about 3 months , my point is this :
Until y'all start doing things DIY and trusting the process things won't change

I totally erased the corruption mentality from my mind, it wasn't easy but it was worth it

P.S my monthly income is upwards of 1.6m (I'm a remote DevOps Engineer)

So I could have easily paid 100k for express

My annual Rent is 30% of my Monthl my Income

Meaning I can pay my yearly rent thrice from my one month income

Funny part is , my rent is close to 1Million Naira , I would have loved to pay for 3 years in advance, but I’m scared of Nigeria and I don’t feel safe in this country anymore
