Following a weekend of superb goals and
thrillers in the Nigeria Professional
Football League, SL10 reporter Ademetan
Abayomi picks the match day seven best
XI.
Ikechukwu Ezenwa [Sunshine Stars]
The former Heartland goalie pulled off
magnificent saves in a familiar terrain. He
kept the Akure Gunners in the game with
his bravery.
Chibuzor Okonkwo [Gabros FC]
Always alert and precise in his tackles
while also causing trouble up front and
exposed the usually disciplined Enyimba FC
backline. And he capped a brilliant
performance with a late penalty strike.
Jonathan Zikiye [Dolphins FC]
The defender was an absolute dynamite
and in total control throughout, displaying
some excellent positioning and making
dynamic interceptions. Never gave a
centimetre and he simply denied the Lobi
Stars forwards any space. He scored the
first goal for his side.
Samuel Olabisi [FC Taraba]
Held a determined Sharks at bay when
they pressed hard, making eight crucial
clearances and although he had the least
touches, he made most of them count.
Never backed away and a real reference
point for the whole defence.
Ebenezer Odunlami [Sunshine Stars]
Ebenezer's ball winning qualities showed
once again as Sunshine brushed aside
Heartland in Owerri. He was brilliant and
uncompromising at the back.
Usman Mohammed [FC Taraba]
An impressive performance by the Dream
Team ace who switched roles at will. Was
always impressive and seemed to engage
another gear when he moved into a more
offensive role, marrying work-rate with
undoubted skill.
Uche Martins [Wikki Tourists]
Showed he meant business with an
amazing goal. Continued to be at the heart
of Wikki’s attacks. He was a livewire for
the hosts.
Tunde Adeniji [Sunshine Stars]
Totally in control and his every ball and
run was as potent as an effective Frank
Lampard. Worked tirelessly and screamed
home two fabulous goals.
Charles Henlong [Giwa FC]
He probed like an aggressive Brazilian
Wandering Spider. His venomous skills
saw him traumatise Bayelsa United.
Mubarak Umar [Wikki Tourists]
Got two well-deserved goals as his
determination offered him success. Not
overawed by Rangers big defenders, the
forward eagerly and consistently found
form on Sunday.
Ugochukwu Leonard [Nasarawa United]
Leonard was at his scoring best and
showed his authority upfront. Never
allowed the visitors a moment’s rest and
his precise finishing was a joy to behold.

Did I say there was an offence he committed? He was an extremist!

A dictator!

Who does not regard the rule of law as it were. Why would someone want impose his caprices and wimps on people. I think simply because he does not want to give them a fair hearing.

Which is a fundamental right of the people and which informs the right to exist as a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and indeed the world in general.

Hence he brought out Decree 4 and 20.

You guys have the liberty to call GEJ the clueless while some call him ( Buhari) the Brainless- I just got to know that that is his baptism name come May 29th- all these would not been permitted during his tenure as the military head of state. Otherwise, seun would have been spending some quality time in one of the numerous prisons that his (Buhari) military tribunal would have made possible.

At that time it was not a crime cos he was the head of state and those who saw it as a crime ended up in jail.

So now its an eye opener for everybody including himself( Buhari) that its Democracy we are in now.

And to say something here, the documentary never tarnished his image! He won did he not?

And let me ask you- have u seen the documentary? To you, what u saw, was it a crime or not? You can only answer these questions if u have seen the documentary. Or type Buhari and Dictatorship on google. Read up!

i want to tell u things u dnt knw about GMB as against d lies AIT aired. (1) the missing #20B was during OBJ era and not GMB in 1977 (2) the destruction of kalakuta rep and killing of fela's mum was in OBJ era in 1977 (plz confirm the two points by listening to fela's song titled ''ARRANGE GOVT'') (3) the ghana must go issue was during shagari era 1981 (4) fela was jailed cos of the money laundary degree to reduce inflation and stealing of fund. (5) the drug baron (gloria i forgot her other name) ''died'' in kano airport (plz google the misery about that baron cos her case cost GMB his seat and dele giwa's life). So with all these point i listed and i want u to google them then i want u to tell me why he is a dictator.

bdidi:
AIT is an entity. A business entity. That has the statutory right to do business in Nigeria and to make profit. Having said that, AIT will not be that daft to have aired a false documentary because they are aware of the consequences. However, they must have done a due diligence on that documentary before bringing it up to the fore.

And mind you, it was not AIT that brought the documentary. Some concerned citizens may have done so which am very sure they must have paid for that time and space on AIT's network. So why will AIT not do business when it involves good money?

It was not to tarnish Buhari's image my friend. It was just an eye opener to us all especially to those who were not born then and to those who perhaps were not paying attention to Nigerian politics then. And most importantly, to Buhari himself reminding him that this is now democracy where the people rule under the rule of law and equity.

Tell me the offence GMB commited during his regime dat AIT aired?

barcanista:
that is why Buhari should seek legal redress. He can't be the complainant and the Judge at the same time no matter the amount of damage done to him

did obama seek legal action? Will kill an ant with a sliege hammer? D man felt he doesnt want anything to do with AIT. AIT can link up with other stations to get jist about him. Abi na crime? Ans me, what was fox offense against obama?

barcanista:
The difference is that Fox News enjoyed unlimited media coverage on Obama. However, they don't enjoy the privilege of exclusive interviews.

In Buhari's case, he barred them from even covering his event. AIT did not even ask Buhari for exlusive interview.

It is within the right of Buhari to reject responding to interview from AIT (you can't force him to talk), but it is against the law to for a public officer and a President-elect to bar any media outfit from covering event.

ok what will u say about the documentary on GMB regim? Why didnt AIT confirm if the report was real? Or were the AIT mgt not old enough to know what happnd in 1983 during his reign? Simple the man doesnt want AIT to send wrong info about him again to the public. I beg d damage AIT cost the man is much cos those who dnt know what happend in 1983 will feel he is a bad man cos of AIT lies. Why didnt channel, stv n co show such? Now why did obama refused to grant fox interview but grant others?

[quote authror=barcanista post=33342034]Point of correction, Obama didn't stop Fox News from covering his event, he only stopped granting them interviews.

Even at that he was criticised and had to tow the path of wisdom. Stop comparing an Obama with Alhaji Buhari.[/quote]ok u said he stoped granting them interview? Why then did he stoped them abi was he not denying them of their rights? Whats diff btw obama n GMB? Are they not human being?

barcanista:
Buhari should live with the reality of democracy. There shall be no Decree 2. If he's unsatisfied, he should go to court

what about obama who stoped FOX from covering his activities? Is there no freedom of speech in America? I beg there is a limit to everything. AIT went beyond their limit by airing things that are not true about GMB.

Emmy9ite:
Hehe, he knws it is not possible. Sha, if it happens i will trek from nyanya(abuja) to nasarawa state, hehe.

u no well at all. Where nyanya dey where nasarawa dey?

waldigit:
But I tell you it is much more saver and better to stay and stick with the Bible. Staying outside the Bible is what dragged Christianity to mere level of religion today!

U pentecostals make all references 2 d bible forgetting dat d bible didnt contain everything dat happened b4 and after jesus time. Now did bible tell u to postrate when greeting ur elders because its against God commandment. Which states dat we must not bow b4 any thing, image in air, under ground or heaven. So what i mean is dat u people should not have any problem with catholic teachings provided it does not violet the greatest commandment which is love of God and man. Period.

The LMC should find a way to improve publicity and media coverage. It's appalling that hours after an NPL match, one finds it hard to get the results of the match online. I have been trying since last night to get the result of yesterday's matches without any success. Too bad
