His decision has been made. No one can deny that Arsene Wenger is an Arsenal legend and always will be. He is their most successful manager in the modern era, and reinvented what the club stands for in so many fundamental ways. But the unrest, worrying form, and toxic atmosphere around the club is reaching breaking point, and no one is more acutely aware of that than the great Frenchman himself. After an embarrassing 3-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday lunchtime, which featured the undignified spectacle of planes flying over the game in support and criticism of the manager, Wenger disclosed to the congregated press that he has finally decided upon his Arsenal future - and everyone would no very soon. This is what he had to say. It certainly sounds like the end is nigh. "Don't worry, I know what I will do in my future. So, you will soon know. Very soon...you will see. We are in a unique bad patch that we never had in twenty years. We lose game after game at the moment. That to me is far more important than my future." Arsenal fan your prayers are working o.[b]His decision has been made. o.

Slain Police spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi was shot thrice in what appears to be a targeted shooting; a scene of crime officer has said. The source says that two of the gunshots that ended Kaweesi’s life were through the back to the chest, while one was shot through the head, to the neck. Kaweesi was killed by a group of unknown gunmen as he left his home in Kulambiro, a suburb of Kampala this morning. His driver Godfrey Mambewa and bodyguard Kenneth Erau are also confirmed dead. Eye witnesses say the killers were traveling on a motorcycle and the shooting reportedly lasted more than 10 minutes. ‘Terror in Kulambiro’ A large crowd of local residents gathered at the scene where the officers’ dead bodies slumped inside a black vehicle, blood pooling under shattered glass alongside the car. The bodies were later taken away. A local resident described seeing four men on two motorcycles attack the car the police officers were travelling in at around 9:30 am (0630GMT) as they left for work. “Two motorbike drivers and two men with guns fired at the car. They shot very rapidly with guns that looked like AK47s,” said Mohammad, a motorcycle taxi driver who lives and works in the area. “The motorbikes came from behind as the car was leaving Kaweesi’s house. The car driver tried to increase speed but they drove past the car and shot into it,” said the 30-year old who declined to give his surname. “The motorbikes were new and the shooters looked professional. They weren’t wearing masks but I didn’t see their faces because I ran for cover.” – ‘Shower of bullets’ – Local mayor Charles Sserunjogi said he heard “a shower of bullets — many shots — from my house nearby”. He said Kaweesi had lived in the neighbourhood of Kulambiro for about 10 years. “I don’t believe what I’m seeing right now. I knew Kaweesi well and met with him about a week and a half ago to discuss tarmacking the road he was shot on.” Kaweesi rose to prominence as he spearheaded the police response to widespread opposition party protests following a controversial 2011 presidential election. After a stint as commander of Kampala Metropolitan Police he was appointed director of operations and then head of human resources before assuming the role of main police spokesman in August 2016 He appeared regularly on television talk shows, his most recent appearance being Thursday night on NTV. Kaweesi was born in 1974, he is survived with a wife (pregnant) and 4 children. Kaweesi had completed his doctorate degree and was due to graduate soon. He planned to contest for parliament in 2021.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Emirian Kayima confirmed the murders, adding investigations have been launched. The bodies have been removed from the scene and taken to the mortuary. United States Embassy Uganda has condemned the attack saying there is no justification for the murders. “There is no justification for violence or murder.
