The Vulnerability Series is an exhibition by Syrian artist Abdulla Al-Omari in the United Arab Emirates. He gives world leaders a makeover with a difference. He takes them out of their fine suits and paints them as refugees.


Al-Omari says his exhibition is a reaction to his plight as a refugee: “I wanted to imagine how all these powerful leaders in the world would look if they were in our shoes.
“As the anger grew inside me I wanted to have sweet revenge, but with art.”


Al-Omari says he wanted to “disarm” the leaders by picturing them outside their positions of power.


The media, he says, focuses on the numbers of refugees but neglects the personal stories behind these figures.
“When you know the personal story of someone, you connect with them,” says Al-Omari.

The refugee crisis has claimed the lives of thousands, most notably Alan Kurdi, the three-year-old boy washed up on a Turkish beach in September 2015. Despite this and other high-profile deaths, little has been done to change the situation.

Osama bin Laden’s fourth wife and kids reveal his final chilling words as he was shot dead in front of them by US Navy SEALS

The 9/11 mastermind was killed on May 11, 2011 after a team of American soldiers stormed his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan

OSAMA bin Laden’s family have spoken for the first time about the night the evil 9/11 mastermind was shot and killed by heroic US Navy SEALS.

The terror thug’s fourth wife Amal bin Laden was hiding in a safe house in Pakistan with bin Laden and the couple’s six children when the American soldiers stormed the building on May 11, 2011.



She told her story to Cathy Scott-Clarke and Adrian Levy for their book The Exile: The Flight of Osama bin Laden, which has been partially recounted in The Sunday Times.

The depraved Al-Qaeda leader was also hiding with his second wife Khairiah, third wife Seham and his adult son Khalid, 22 in the reinforced house in the mountains of Abbottabad in northeastern Pakistan.

Bin Laden was asleep with Amal when the two American Black Hawks helicopters descended on the property.
Amal said she awoke terrified at the noise of the aircraft and confirmed the streets were especially dark that night due to an electricity shortage.

She said she heard “chop chop chop” and “shadows passing across the windows”.
Bin Laden sat up and said “Americans are coming” shortly before there was a loud screeching sound outside which rocked the house.

Amal said: “It was a moonless night and difficult to see.”
Outside 24 highly trained SEALS rushed the compound while a pyjama-clad Bin Laden handed his son Khalid an AK-47 assault rifle.


Amal and Seham took their terrified children to the top floor of the property and huddled together.
As the soldiers blasted into the home, Bin Laden told his family: “They want me, not you.”

The world’s most wanted man then told his family to head downstairs prompting Seham and Khalid to venture towards the SEALS.
Amal remained upstairs with her cowardly husband and their youngest son Hussein.
She insists that someone within their inner circle betrayed them.

One of the American soldiers who spoke Arabic called for Khalid before shooting the 22-year-old dead after he glanced over a balcony he was hiding on.
Bin Laden's death made headlines around around the world

Osama bin Laden was born in 1957 into a prominent Saudi Arabian family. He was killed by the US military in May, 2011


Navy SEAL Robert O'Neill entered Bin Laden’s room before Amal rushed him. She was shot in the leg as more soldiers entered the hideaway.
O'Neill then shot and killed Bin Laden before other SEALS put bullets in the vile terrorist.
As Amal regained consciousness and played dead, the soldiers grabbed Hussein, Miram and Sumaiya and demanded they identify Bin Laden’s which they all reluctantly did.

The SEALS then dragged Bin Laden’s body down the stairs and into one of the waiting choppers.

Amal remained in the compound cradling a traumatised Hussein as she heard the US troops destroying the second helicopter as they made their escape
