Chief Charles Idahosa, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state on Wednesday said he will support a northern candidate for Presidency after the completion of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure in 2023.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Independent in Benin, Idahosa said there is a need for the North to complete the six years of the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua administration which was completed by former president Goodluck Jonathan following Yar’Adua’s demise.

He blamed former President Olusegun Obasanjo whom he accused of deliberately presenting an ailing Yar’Adua and a weak Vice- President in Jonathan so that he can indirectly rule Nigeria for a third term.

“I see a situation in this country whereby the North will not let go of power by 2023. The North will still go for the presidency and if that happens, I am going to support a Northern president after Buhari’s eight years”.

“We Southerners there is something funny about us. We think we know too much than the Northerners but the Northerners are more politically sophisticated than us”.

So, I took the assessment yesterday and scaled through. Here are a few tips I followed, I hope it helps.

- Ensure asking your manager questions or to help you for a task is always close to your last options. They want to see you try on your own, to take initiative first before going to ask for help.

- When there's a chance given to you by your manager to do something you're not really confident enough you can do, make sure you don't reject it. Rejecting it should be your last option.

- Show that you enjoy NETWORKING and COLLABORATION and HELPING others in the team. If a team member asks you for help, asking them to go to another person or turning them down should come last or close to last.

- When you have to speak with clients, you have to show you can be prepared for any question that might arise in the meeting. Even if you realised impromptu, you still have to figure a way to make sure you don't lose the client.

Like for instance there's a situational question of going to a meeting with a senior colleague who calls to let you know they won't be coming anymore and you have to go alone. Even though it's the Senior colleague who knows the elements of the meeting well. You have to still show them that you can salvage the situation and not lose the client. Basically, just show that you are at least always in the loop regardless if you're the one on top of a situation or not.

- Also show that your work is priority. But when there is a clash between your work and a chance to network in one situational question for instance, make sure your answers at the top are your work followed by a possibility to still network.

Fellow applicant, I think this selection process is don from shell's headquaters and not nigeria base on the recruitment process , but it will get to a stage the Nigeria branch will take over. But for this slecton, test, and video on demand stuff, I think its has nothing to do with the Nigeria shell HR.... What's do you think ?

Hehe. Cognitive test was cheap indeed. Abstract was the cheapest and the only one I submitted myself.
But the working styles eh! I did such a test before where I was advised to stay away from the intermediate answers but I wudnt listen. I didn't see the results then but now... I advise prospective candidates to steer towards responses that show sureness.
