Good morning everyone. I started harvesting and processing my palm fruits in May. I have 658 trees but haven't harvested more than 315 trees at any given time, I'll be applying fertilizer when the time is right and have been marking the trees that bear fruit in order to identify those that don't bear. I've also been buying palm fruits from a nearby market to maintain production levels. One thing I knew before going into this business is that it's hard work. If you're not ready for the work please don't waste your time and money. I'm still working to streamline my processing for maximum gain. Thanks a lot, this thread gave me the motivation to start and I haven't regretted it so far

Hello, house. I'm glad to find this thread because I've been looking for this. I intend to go into oil palm plantation soonest. I'm currently working on land and on capital.

I want to beg my Ogas in the house to please create a Whatsapp group for easier sharing of advice and information. I can volunteer to create the group if it's okay by us here. Otherwise, my phone number is 08093326855. Kindly add me. Thanks.

This will be useful for all who are interested

Good day everyone. So I started clearing a family plantation of 700 trees. It hasn't been maintained or cared for in a long time. It will take about 3 weeks at least to complete the clearing and trimming the fronds on the trees. I also have to uproot dead trees (7) and transplants some young ones growing spuriously around the farm then apply fertilizer as we see fit. I plan to process and have started the construction of small/medium scale equipment. Our present predicament now is bush fires, everyone around us suddenly feels the need burn something. I've heard the best way to curtail them is to keep the farm cleared which we are doing now. I'll appreciate any advise on other methods of curtailing bush fires. I'll continue to share my experiences here and will soon come up with costs at start up. Thank you

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I am planning of going into oil palm plantation, I wouldn't say I am discouraged by what I have read thus far, I would rather say it has spurned me to work harder for the challenges head.
Special thanks to the OP and everybody that contributed.

Good day everyone, if one wants to start processing what equipment do they need at first. I'm guessing a presser and a boiler but I may be wrong. Thank you
