phrezzz: Race to page 100 i must be there. this thread pace is scary. yet we say its the most boring season yet even season5,7, 3 no pass page 60
This has been the most dramatic season in my opinion. And the drama is not on the stage, its off the stage. MTN knows how to keep collecting their money, and I also smell a rat in this Kumi's opting out.
Zuria: Aunty, you really should start praying your crush comes 4th o...
Jeff got a song he didn't like today and it showed in his performance...today is truly the day Jeff was given a "hard" song
Anyway, he may be the "Tolu" of this season....so pray he comes 4th
Crush ke?Jeff,Pearl and maybe Ada didn't really do well today. No song is easy or hard in a competiton. I've sang live before and the first thing you have to deal with is your nerves.Pearl didn't sing that song well too.I've heard that song sung better on the same stage. And as for Tolu,Thats why I maintain that season was the best so far.Tolu and Ochuko are even better than many winners of project fame
homesteady: One thing I learnt last season was that the best always win, Geoffrey won despite the emotional campaign of clement! Arewa would win it this year!
For those that really followed last upper season, was immaculate better than the guy that won? I joined that season very late - on the final day
Not really. Olawale was the better singer and immaculate was a better performer. Personally am all about the singing. I don't care about performance. So I would say Olawale was better than her.Immaculate shouted a lot which I didn't like.
Enochwrites: considering last night's performance, arewa and jeff are one hell of originalists... tee-y mix's comment about jeff's song being a cover was on point...his riffs and runs, and falsetto are his strong points and the dude knows dat so he's using it to his advantage.
dehinde's strategy of creating a fanbase for himself since the beginning of the competition has worked for him. cuz the dude's voice is 100 kilometres away from special.
arewa to me possesses the strongest voice in the house enough to blow away every other contestant. but anytime and anyday...Anderson is a powerhouse vocalist.
kumi should have left this competition weeks ago, along with dehinde, but thanks to her being ghanian, MTN must make their dough,
pearl for me, is good, but she seems to me a bypasser in this competition. nothing exactly can be said of her,
finally, in a world of realisms, they should win in this order:
Arewa
Anderason
jeff
Ada
pearl
kumi
dehinde
but we do not exist in a realistic world so, in 2 weeks i forsee them winning this way:
Ada(god knows who's been voting, they've rilli bin consistent for her)
Anderson (his fanbase has tripled, i for one)
Dehinde (his fanbase is also crazy)
Arewa (she's been the best but.....)
Jeff
Pearl
kumi
On point, very much on point.I think Jeff has something I feel the other 6 lack. I can't really place it.(Clement had it last season).
AbuadStudent: Even the michael beddinfield song sef
I don't think any song is easy o.You know you have to battle with your nerves before singing, especially a slow song. That's because you have don't have to go off key. Remember Olawale, the winner in season 6 almost got evicted because of Davido's Gobe,a song many people would call easy.
kaze4blues: lol.....I actually meant Anderson can come 2nd after arewa. the first position will be clinched undisputably by arewa.
I forsee arewa Anderson jeff winning in dat order eventually. they can't deny arewa d victory even despite the fact that she has a lower fans base compared to other contestants especially #teamanderson who bombard the internet every second drumming support for Anderson.
talent, exceptional performances and consistency has been paving the way for her.
I must have watched the sound of music a gazillion times. The 'climb every mountain' is supposed to be sang softly na.I almost started crying (and no,not good tears) and also Let it go. I think Pearl actually did better that Ada and Arewa,I really don't understand the tears and the standing ovation o. its #teamarewa all dah way.
Enemmo, that was your best Collabo? You are evil o
Yes,I find it disturbing that every other collabo felt like the contestants were competing against each other. its a collabo for God's sakes. D one who is a powerhouse should tone down for the oda(eg Ada and Kumi, arewa and Pearl).Anderson gave Deinde enuff room to shine and vice versa.(they even took turns to rap).and am #team nobody.
macklef: Geoffrys performance was spiritual, i guess held b going to church today. Emekus on d other hand was commercial i guess held b going to a palmwine joint today.
Romanticboy1: sound city na big witch...I even tried to stream d show on youtube..poor quality.. in terms of videos and sound..aaaarrrrggghhh...so upset..
the damned channel just started showing after the show dun finish...F you sound city
macklef: Sorry, uve been scammed dis week. Do well to waste ur vote again next week on d same sets of people. The money for SUV and 5million naira still remain small.
Don't mind dem. Na real scam. Na so dem scam us last season when Geoffrey was put on probation d week before finals. Before then,I used to vote 4 times a week for him (#200 naira). That week,I must have voted a lot more than dat,cos I lost count sef. After seeing my favourite contestant win, I sat down and asked myself what I gained. Nothing o!Now my eye don clear.
Zuria: Eiyah...so Jeff is your crush? don't worry he'll come 7th...that's a pleasant surprise
Crush ke? At what age? I don't have any favourites dis season, but from my project fame experience, there is always an element of surprise in the finals.
radicoolgee: Enemmo i am talking abt the music industry and showbiz in general. I dont need to go to liberia to know hoe nicholas is doing cos if he is doing well in the music industry in his country it definitely would have been visible cos we have a lot of foreign artist from several countries u could hear of and see their works all over the world e.g markifizulu from south africa, sarkodi from ghana, plantnum diamond from zimbabwe, and a whole lot more succesful music personalities. So that is why i insist it goes beyond the competition or winning project fame, it goes beyond have best of vocals, it involves understanding the terrain and having the personality and drive. That is why onyikosade is doing better in the industry than olawale who actually won that same year. There is more to music and showbiz than vocals o that is why i am not too confident of Andersons victory desite all the hype and hailings just as they did to emeka who finally came 5th afterall the high hopes.
Name one Liberian artiste you have ever known. Not all African music is played here bro
radicoolgee: JJC squad peepz. #Team Deinde(Ibinu nation) for showbiz. Kudos to Anderson a great vocalist bu showbiz goes beyond vocals, that dude cannot meet up with the challenges involved just as Nicholas couldn't face the industry despite his great vocal dexterity. He is too fragile and timid personality wise to make a mark in the industry just as the likes of inyanya, praise, chidinma, mike oyinkosade, emekus, geofrey and host of others were able to through their voice and mostly personality were able to face and still facing the industry convincingly. Jeff is good to go, same with Arewa and Ada others are bench warmers. The king of the show remains deinde even though he is not as vocally gifted as the rest, but business wise and industry wise he can rep Project Fame in the industry much more than others infact ibinu nation is a record label and brand to watch out for just as olamides YBNL. Best of luck to all contestants, may the preferred win.
Which industry o?Is Nicholas in/from Nigeria?he is from Liberia,so maybe you should go to Liberia first and find out how he's doing before making any conclusions.
dream2014: I quite agree with people that said this year did not meet up with the usual project fame we have known. I kind of see the contestant struggling to perform (not vocals alone). That was the kind of form I thought Dehinde would bring (Though he still got my support) but he has not. Combining vocals with performance, I will give it to Jeff or Arewa. Ada's performance at a point use to be the best. I liked Chike a lot but he didnt use what he has well, he got more than he gave.
Of late, I have been trying to check up some past performances in Idols west Africa and Project fame. Performances from people like Timi, Omawumi in Idol west Africa season 1 (and even Lara George), the KC guy that one this year Idols, Iyanya, Praise, Niii of season 1, Nicholas, Mike, Chidinma, Olawale, Immaculate, Shola, Geofrey, (even clement) etc (of past project fame) show performances that were seamless and without too much struggles. Some said Clement did not perform, even on the chair, check his exppressions, use of hands and body movement. He is way far better than a lot of contestants we have this year. I hope we could see more in the remaining few weeks from the contestants. I also agree that the absence of Kaffy has not help thier choreography.
MTN/Ultima studio needs to do more so that project fame would not loose it. I have been an ardent fan since inception and though I am no more based in Naija, I still follow with a lot of passion.
Now put on your phone Go to text Type 7 Send to 306 if you are in Naija And 1745 if you are in Ghana!
Have a great day guys! Ciao!
Gbam,I agree!I have been a fan since Iyanya.I feel either Ultima gets a new sponsor or they should give the show a rest
homesteady: Nooo naaa! I think Arewa's voice is just tired! Some steaming and a little rest will bring back her voice! Even Jeff had a problem with his song one time like that because he lost his voice!
And I think in a competition, there needs to be a progression,Viewers need to see that the contestant is actually growing, that's why at this stage,it's looking like Jeff is having easy songs. I thinks its because he has shown the most growth(in my opinion). For Ada, Arewa and maybe Anderson, they started very strong, so,we are already used to that,at this stage, they need to do jara ie maybe up the performance ,add some naija flavour etc. I also think Arewa has been the most consistent, but there is something I cannot really place, For eg That Ojuelegba should have been the "wowest" moment on the show, but something was missing.
LaRochelle: Please, someone should give me the link to Vwede and Bola's duet of "You're the love of my life". I've been searching for it but haven't found it. I can't even remember the season. Help a sister out.
mapsmatician: Anderson na real baby oku. I think he went to a girls school. I mean, what kind of a man blows a kiss to his fans in a radio station. Anyway, what makes Anderson's voice exceptnal is his ability to handle high pitched songs with ease. It's very rare, it's a every good singer's dream. But i still think Jeff is a better singer. Jeff knows how to play with his voice n at d same time enjoy himself while singing. That's how u knw a gud singer. Even when he sang those naija songs, his stylish voice still came out. I really like Anderson's singing, bt i still think Jeff will win.
