NESG Presidential Candidates Dialogue Session: The Results

*“I've watched the full dialogue session from the three Presidential candidates hosted by NESG.*

“Firstly, I'd love to see more of this type of dialogue sessions before the election. If we can have at least two of this type of session and televised LIVE for all to see, I'd be happy.

*“Secondly, I'm highly disappointed with Bola Tinubu’s media team. They did Tinubu dirty by shielding him from the media.*

I'd be unbias here.

“In all honesty, if Tinubu wins today, will he shy away from the media for 8yrs? Shielding Tinubu from the media was a wrong decision. That said, haven watched the dialogue from the three Presidential candidates vying for office of the President, I'd say with an unbiased mind, Atiku seems to be disconnected with realities on ground.

*“Obi seems to have all the solutions to our problems, but doesn't know HOW and WHERE to get alternative funding against borrowing to implement all he wishes to do for the country. This is based on what he said on the interview.*

*“Tinubu gave the best answers to all questions asked. He's practical, has solution to how to raise funds and where to raise funds.*

My rating of the three candidates;

- Mr Bola Tinubu; 8/10. He was practical to questions they asked him but decides to hold on to some by saying "he doesn't want to review all his plans because he's the first to be interviewed" though, the little he said were succinct, concise and practical

- Peter Obi; 5/10. Mr Peter Obi is mostly about beautiful talk about other countries performance comparing them to Nigeria but he lacks practical solution to the issues we are facing as a country. He has ideals but obviously disconnected on "HOW" to implement those ideals.

- Mr Atiku Abubakar; 3/10. Mr Atiku appeared to be smart by jotting down questions, at least from what I saw, but always forgat what he was being asked even after jotting down the questions.

“He was disconnected from reality, he talked about how he will beg for debt forgiveness. Like his boss Obasanjo did. Begging for debt forgiveness will put us in bad light and make lenders not to trust us.

“He said he’d reduce tax and privatise most govt assets.

“He has no solution "HOW" to raise funds as alternative means to run the country.

“No solution to stop oil
Theft and discourage migration of our youths to foreign countries.
