Health / 5 Major Signs And Symptoms Of Breast Cancer by Engineer11985(m): 10:21pm On Apr 07, 2016
5 Major Signs and Symptoms of Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the world affecting mostly women over 65 but not unheard of in younger women. Mammograms have recorded great success in the timely detection of breast cancer before they develop into a more deadly stage. However, screening mammograms do not detect every kind of breast cancer, in this case women would have to smart in detecting the slightest inconveniences they might notice in their breasts and seek proper medical measures in containing it before it blows out of proportion. Listed below are some of the 5 major signs and symptoms of breast cancer…

1. New lump or mass in the breast(s)

This is the most common symptom of breast cancer. It is often a painless hard mass with irregular edges. Notwithstanding, there are cases where the lump are soft, tender and round associated with excruciating pains. Therefore, it is important to have all lumps in the breast whether hard or soft checked to be certain it isn’t cancerous.

2. Slight change in appearance of breast other than when menstruating or ovulating

It isn’t in all cases that a lump or mass can point to cancerous growth, you should observe your breasts at all time to notice any slight change from the original appearance when menstruating or ovulating. Kylie Amstrong from Melbourne in Australia shared that she and her GP felt no lump in her breast, but because she was sensitive to note the appearance of her breasts, they were able to detect very feint dimples on the underside of her breasts which turned out to be cancerous.

3. Pain in the chest or breast

Any form of discomfort in the breast or chest area isn’t a pleasant sign. It could be electric sensation that goes from the left breast to the right nipple or a mild pain that often comes and goes. No matter how mild it may feel, be it an ache, twinge, throb or a sharp stab, it shouldn’t be treated taken for granted.

4. Itchy feeling in the breast

This occurs when growing cancer cells obstruct the flow of blood and lymph vessels that feed the skin thereby causing fluids to build up in and under the skin; this in turn causes the skin to have a itchy sensation. This symptom is related with inflammatory breast cancer. So, if you often feel this uncontrollable urge to sneak your hands in there and scratch, visit the doctor promptly. Don’t settle for creams and rash medication until a thorough examination has been done to rule out the possibility of any cancerous growth.

5. Changes in the breast

Any form of changes in the size, texture, contour and temperature of the breast depicts underlying cancer-related problem. A reddish pitted appearance of the breasts resembling the skin of an orange could indicate advanced cancerous growth.

Conclusion

Breast cancer-examination ought to be part of a woman’s monthly heath care routine. Women above 40 should have an annual mammogram and constant physical examination by a doctor. Women in their 20s and 30s should have a Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) as part of their regular health checkup. For women who wish to do a Breast Self Exam (BSE), the technique should be reviewed with the health-care provider. The objective is to feel comfortable with the way the breasts feels and look so that any slight changes could be detected on time.

Don’t hesitate to call your doctor if you have swollen lymph glands in your armpits or if you notice any abnormal lump or persistent pain in your breasts. At times these symptoms may be something other than cancer, but remember, early detection save lives.
Fashion / How To Identify Original Virgin Brazilian Hair by Engineer11985(m): 9:06pm On Dec 28, 2015
How to Identify an Original Virgin Brazilian Hair
Virgin Brazilian Hair is the hair that is not subjected to any kind of treatment or processing, it is natural and last for ages as long as you maintain it with care. Virgin Brazilian hair gives you that unique and prestigious look that makes you an object of envy amongst women. Also it helps you achieve more styling options. You can’t be too certain of the originality of any hair you buy from beauty stores unless you are quick enough to note the disparities no matter how insignificant it may appear. The following are things to take into consideration so as to note the differences between original and fake Virgin Brazilian hair:
1. Texture
Original Virgin Brazilian hair should have a yaki-like feel which is rather coarse to the touch. Fake Brazilian hair has a coated feeling when you run your fingers through it because it is often coated with chemical to appear real.
2. Color
The color of original virgin Brazilian hair ranges from brown, medium brown to natural black. An important aspect to note is the color of the entire bunch may not be uniform; grey hair may also be present, this is because the lighter and darker shade of the primary color would be present.

3. Wet test
An original virgin Brazilian hair would still retain its weight, natural curl and wave pattern even when wet. Fake Brazilian hair gets heavy and loses its pattern when wetted with water.

4. Cuticle direction
The cuticle direction of original virgin Brazilian hair flows in the same direction. Since the cuticle faces the same direction, it reduces the chances of tangling. This is not so with fake Brazilian hair. If you notice the cuticles facing different directions its likely to tangle a lot, refrain from buying it. Also, fake Brazilian hair has dry ends which cause it to tangle.

5. Flame test
This is another important test used to check the originality of virgin Brazilian hair. Cut a few strands from the hair and place it under the flame from a lighter or candle, original virgin hair would produce smoke, it burns quickly, smells stink and balls up into ash; this ash scatters when you rub it with the tip of your fingers thereby leaving the remaining ends still intact.

Well, I don't know of any consulting firms that are into that. Even if I do I will not patronize them. I hate paying people to do things for me. Applying for scholarship isn't difficult! Just prepare a good statement of purpose, apply early and you wil get it by God's grace. No big deal.

Fellow nairalanders, who can recommend a reputable webhosting comp in nigeria one can use, that will not disappoint.
I wantd to use foreign webhost like bluehost, hostgator etc, bt the stress of getting credit card is just too much. So please, if you are hosting ur site wt a nigerian webhost and you are comfortable with their services, kindly put down their address here, as I do nt want to fall into the hands of scammers. Thanks

@steelie: most universities in europe accept a minimum of second class lower division (2.2) for msc programes.
Toelf is mandatory, if you are applying for study in finland else your application might not be processed. In Norway, some schools might not require toefl, but you have to provide a proof that your undergraduate study was conducted in english language.
Hope this helps...

Webmasters / Re: how To Make Google Adsense Work For You by Engineer11985(m): 12:07pm On May 06, 2012
Giving you sites that earn 40buks will not help you. Let me give you a little secret to making much buks from adsense:
1. Write quality contents.
2. Write as much as 10 fresh articles weekly
3. Insert your ads into your content i.e between, beside posts etc.
4. Advertise your blogs on forums.

If you do all these, you can even make $50 daily

Sorry about that. Thought he said Australia. Actually, Austria used to operate tuition free, but they have now imposed fees though not much....about $200 or thereabout.
Its affordable and nigerians who don't have much money to study in UK or US can study there.

You don't need tons of traffic to make much from adsense. I'av seen sites with 150-200 visitors daily, make upto 4dollars a day. It all depends on how u position ur ads like placing them beside, inbetween posts were ur visitors eyes go. In that way, u will get more clicks and ur revenue wil skyrocket.
Educational Services / Re: Study In France For As Low As $200 Per Session!!!! by Engineer11985(m): 12:01pm On May 04, 2012
You will have to undergo french language training that will cost roughly $500. If you hope to study at the postgraduate level, then you must apply or send your application directly to the university of your choice in france, click the link below to get a list of universities and their websites:

But if you want to study at undergraduate level, you apply through french consulate office in your country.
Hope this helps...

Australian universities are good, but the tuition fee is just too high. It ranges from $15000-$45000. Can you afford that? If you can, then go for it. They have nice universities that is ranked among the best in the world

Germany for instance has lots and lots of manufacturing industries. They employ students to work on part time bases. Accomodation ranges from €150-€400 depending on the size and location.
You can work after your programe so long as you have work permit and residence visa. Infact with these two things, you are eligible to work in almost all european countries.
The only problem is that you have to learn the languages of some of these countries for you to work as the speak other languages outside english. Countries like russia, germany, finland, ukraine etc.
If you have any question, feel free to ask!

Princico, the living expenses in norway is okay. I have a friend that is studying there and he told me one can work and study in norway. Besides, I have done my own personal research and found out same. But the problem with norway is that most schools are not tuition free, meaning that you will be askd to pay some money for tuition, though not much.
Finland and germany are absolutely free, though the cost of living in germany is too high. But you can work and study at the same time.
If you need scholarships for your study, visit my blog and apply! I paste scholarships as they are advertised.
