Charles-Novia-January-2014-Same-Sex-Bill-musbizublog Few weeks ago, after the 40 year old Liberian, Mr. Patrick Sawyer was quarantined after he arrived Lagos, Nigeria with symptoms of the Ebola virus and died days later, fear has aroused amongst citizens of Nigeria. Popular Nollywood producer and director, Charles Novia have condemned the most talked about disease and said why did the man have to come to Nigeria, he also said the people living in Calabar state are at risk too, because it was reported that the man came into Lagos through the Calabar airport. In his words he said “and of all the places he chose to die, it would be Nigeria. This country where even the grim Reaper is tired of manufacturing body bags because of Boko Haram! Oh, for those of you in Calabar, your area is endangered too, it was reported that the Liberian guy flew into Nigeria through Calabar Airport before he connected to Lagos. According to him, the transaction involved the acquisition of ConocoPhillips’ Nigerian oil and gas businesses consisting of Phillips Oil Company Nigeria Ltd. ConocoPhilips Oil Company Ltd holds 20 per cent non-operating interest in Oil Mining Leases (OMLs) 60, 61, 62, and 63 as well as related infrastructure and facilities in the Nigerian Agip Oil Company Joint Venture (NAOC JV) Ltd. The statement also said the transaction compelled OER to retain The Petroleum and Renewable Energy Company Ltd as Independent Reserve. It noted that Wale Tinubu, the Chairman of OER said that “we believe in the significant potential that the Nigerian oil and gas industry holds and are privileged to play a pivotal role in its consolidation, growth and development. “We will continue to seek strategic opportunities that provide a platform for enhanced growth and value creation for our stakeholders.” Source: http://musbizublog.com/?p=17994

Popular Yoruba actress, Omotunde Ogundimu, who has been off the movie scene for a while now, is presently battling with fibroid. The mother of three disclosed this to Dupe Ayinla Olasunkanmi in an interview, stating that she noticed the ailment in 2013. “My period comes like 10 to 15 days; then, it will stop and come again. I menstruate twice in a month. I noticed it last year before my husband passed away. Anytime we had intercourse, I would always bleed. I took it for something else, so I didn’t really pay attention to it. But when he became sick and we couldn’t have intercourse any more, it (the bleeding) stopped. Then, I didn’t have time to study it at that period too. “But what I noticed is that my menstrual circle changed, so I would menstruate twice in a month with very heavy flow. So, at that time, I just felt it was one of the signs of menopause because I am way above 40. But last year, I had to go to the hospital to complain and the doctor said I had fibroid, even before the tests and scan were conducted. When the scan was done, it was discovered that the fibroid was fully grown in my womb,” she explained. Continue here: http://musbizublog.com/?p=17917 |
Aregbe said infrastructure> Hmmm another wway of taming pple to vote him. let wait and see what happen after the election |
OSUN State Governor Rauf Aregbesola has welcomed thousands of supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship candidate, Iyiola Omisore, into the All Progressives Congress (APC) at a colourful campaign in Ifetedo. ao They were led by a loyalist of the PDP candidate and a former Chairman of Ife South Local Government Area, Diran Ayanbekun. Ayanbekun, who is also a former Chairman of the state House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, said he and his supporters decided to join the APC because of Aregbesola’s achievements. He revealed that after a thorough study of events and his love for development, he decided to join the APC since his former party had nothing serious to offer the people. Aregbesola, while receiving the former PDP members, pledged that his second tenure would mark the end of lack of basic infrastructure. He assured the people that his administration would build more roads and other social amenities in Ife-South Local Government. He said: “We thank you for your supports and we thank God that we have not disappointed you. We have been to the palace and we have noted all what the Kabiyesi said. “Our second term can only be better. Because by the time we would have finished our second term in office, Osun will not lack any social amenity and it will be a place of pride.” There are 42 major towns and villages and hundreds of hamlets in Ife South. Created out of the old Oranyiyan Local Government Area, the council is delineated into 11 wards. Earlier, the Olubosin of Ifetedoland, Oba Ilori Olowosoke, who spoke through the National President, Ifetedo Progressive Union, Prince Bisi Adeshingbin, praised the governor for bringing infrastructure development to the area. Adeshingbin requested that the governor should appoint more sons and daughters of Ifetedoland into the state cabinet during his second term. He charged the governor not to relent on his oars, adding that his second tenure must be better than the first. “We are happy with what you are doing in our area and the state at large. We pray that you will not relent in the good work you have started when you come into office again. “We will continue to pray for you because the good works you are doing are visible. But like Oliver Twist, we will like you to do more for Ifetedo people to be part of your cabinet,” he said. Source: http://musbizublog.com/?p=17844 |
sultanofsokoto-musbizublog The committee carried out its assignment between 6:45PM and 7:45PM on Sunday. The palace of Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar has now admitted that the Sultan made a mistake by announcing the end of Ramadan based on claims by some Nigerian Muslims that they sighted the new moon of Shawwal on Saturday night. The result of the joint moonsighting exercise undertaken by the Sultanate Moon Sighting Committee and the Nigerian National Moonsighting Committee on Sunday clearly showed that the monarch erred in the pronouncement he made on Saturday prematurely terminating the Ramadan fast in Nigeria. The Sultan, who is also the President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs [NSCIA], commissioned the joint moonsighting investigation after his Saturday call triggered controversy, with some of the nation’s foremost clerics as well as the Secretary General of the NSCIA, Is-haq Oloyede, openly questioning his judgment. The result of the investigation, also endorsed by the Sultan’s representatives, was unambiguous: The claim that the moon was sighted on Saturday was questionable as it was impossible for anyone to see the moon anywhere in the world at that time. The committee carried out its assignment between 6:45PM and 7:45PM on Sunday. The report of the joint committee, compiled by Usman Mahmud, a research officer with the National Moon Sighting Committee, reads in part: “I write to inform you that we (the National Moon Sighting Committee) and the Sultanate Moon Sighting Committee went to the Sighting of Moon today (Sunday, July 27, 2014). General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd), Wednesday, said he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on his life after he was targeted by suicide bombers in Kawu area of Kaduna. In a statement, said: “I am personally involved in a clearly targeted bomb attack today at about 2:30pm on my way to Daura.“The unfortunate event, clearly an assassination attempt, came from a fast moving vehicle that made many attempts to overtake my security car, but was blocked by escort vehicle.“We reached the market area of Kawo where he took advantage of our slowing down and attempted to ram my car and instantly detonated the bomb which destroyed all the three cars in our convoy.Buhari-convoy musbizublog “Unfortunately, when I came out of my vehicle, I saw many dead bodies littered around. By Rudolf Ogoo Okonkwo When my Aso Rock job is done, historians will be falling over each other to figure out the reasons behind the great decisions I took that transformed Nigeria. One of the decisions that will baffle them is why I stopped writing my diary. To dispel rumors that will be presented as facts, I want to state here the reason why I suspended writing my diary. No, it was not because Patie found it under the mattress, read it, got furious, beat me up and gave me a red eye that I did not come out in public for two days. The truth is that I stopped writing my diary when my Spook told me that the Americans were reading it. That was how I figured out that if $49 billion dollars is missing in Nigeria, the Americans will know. People don’t know, but there is a valid reason behind every remarkable statement that I make. Jonathan reading Eze Goes to School musbizublog At first, though, I did not believe that the Americans could possibly be reading my diary. Though I’m the first internet president of Nigeria who made Facebook popular, I wrote on paper not on one of those online diary sites set up discreetly by the American CIA. So, how did the Americans get hold of my diary? Other than Patie, the other person that comes into my room is the housekeeper. She can hardly read or write. Please don't blame me. I didn't hire her. If I did, I would have found someone in my own image. I only believed what my Spook said when something happened in a discussion with the Americans. I got furious that they wanted me not to run for reelection 'in the interest of peace.' I then said something they did not like. The simple way to put it is that I did not use the best choice of words available to me. Forget you, would have conveyed my message well. But do I give a damn? No. In any case, the leader of their delegation was so furious that he said something to me that only someone who had read my diary would know. I have since figured out how to keep a diary that the Americans cannot find. Spook said the best way to get the Americans is to exploit their failure of imagination. He said one can safely keep a diary on the comment page of the White House website and no CIA operative would read it. Apama, Ajasco, Jegede and Apena all came around and we watched Germany beat Argentina at the World Cup in Brazil. Patie and I had hoped to go there if the Super Eagles had made it into the quarter finals. The person most disappointed that we won’t be going was Ajasco. He had some plans to reach the source of this Brazilian hair that is now in vogue. We gulped some bottles of red Burgundy from France and Chateau Catour Pauillac. My side won. In the middle of it all, Ajasco made me sign the letter to the National Assembly requesting $1bn loan to fight Boko Haram. My man, Mark, said he will take care of the rest. He knows how we do it. Monday, July 14, 2014: So, I met with the little girl from Pakistan, Malala, today as part of our charm offensive. I thought it all went well until I got debriefed. What were they expecting from me, especially Apama? To outshine a girl who had taken a bullet from the Taliban? I haven't even gone near Sambisa forest. I refuse to accept that I was fidgeting because of that small girl. It was just the cameras. There were so many of them, especially from those white TV people. There is something about the way they look at me that I don't like. They are as sassy as that CNN ' s Isha Sassy. Malala Foundation is questioning our educational strategy. Who told them to stick their stinking fingers into our affairs? Even Pakistan! The goats are eating the palm fronds right on my head. It’s not their fault. It’s the fault of all those who pulled their hair and swallowed, all in a bid to stop my transformational agenda. In rejuvenating my diary, I particularly want to say something about that small girl who insulted me on the pages of the Washington Post. Karen whatever. She thinks that we don’t know that she was a former Sahara reporter. We know. She didn’t like the article that I wrote in Washington Post but is that why she has to mock me? Who is she to tell the world what Goodluck Jonathan should have written? Ok, some news flash: I didn’t write the Washington Post article. Do I need to tell you that? Doesn’t that in and of itself make what she wrote foolish? You see, sometimes my advisors think they know more than me. That I keep quiet does not mean they know better. When Spook suggested that we needed to finish those Saharareporters, I told him no. In one meeting we had, I told him that a chick does not forget who pruned its feathers during the rainy season. When the cabal around Yar’Adua was humiliating me, Saharareporters was one of the few media outfits on my side. And I did not know them. They just thought I was on the right side of history. That was why I refused to sign off on their destruction. I was afraid that if we scatter them like oil bean seed, they will each reemerge on different platforms. Instead of fighting one Saharareporters, we will have ten of them to deal with. I felt that wasn’t a smart idea. Now see the small girl ex-saharareporter giving me headache at Washington Post. I, however, signed off on plan-B – setting up our own online media outlets. I know how many quantum in dollars that I was asked to sign off for that project. Apama and Ajasco have shown me websites we are keeping afloat but are they making any impact? I don’t think so. One of those NIDO guys the other day told me there is a way to know how a website is doing. He said there is a website that ranks traffic at other websites. I have forgotten what he called the site. I will summon Apama and Ajasco and Jegede. Any of these our websites that has been operational for 6 months or more that does not crack the top 50 websites that Nigerians visit, I will order that we stop wasting money on them. These guys cannot be gulping money from us without adding value. I heard some of the website owners now have a wife at home and another one abroad and they travel up and down every two months. There is enough of that taking place at the National Assembly. This policy of evaluation of output should also include those internet warriors of ours that I was told are now in their high hundreds. Despite their number, I don’t think the conversation has shifted in our favor. Tuesday, July 15, 2014: My boys have delivered. The memo writing memoirist is now a mere memory. Let it be a warning to others. The Adamawa Big Mouth goes down. That’s one. We move on to Nassarawa. Then we will get to you, Madam Undue Process. If she thinks I’m going to dance to her tune, she needs to use her teeth to count her tongue. We will bring back the girls when we want, not when she wants. If she likes, let her count the seconds of every day. So we brought home that Boko Haram criminal from Sudan. It was a big triumph. Not even the Americans could repatriate Osama bin Laden from Sudan, but we did it. But did we get any credit in the media? No. Instead they were busy talking about Malaysian airline that was shut down and all those jazz. Who cares? Do you know how many people are killed by Boko Haram each day in this country? I have come to accept that I will never do enough to satisfy these people. But the Holy Book says that stone that the builder refused shall be the head corner stone. In no time, historians will tell them what I already know. I’m just like Obama, underappreciated by the people of my time and age. All the wahala about the Chibok parents not meeting with me did not bother me. They are the ones who missed an opportunity to get some bags of rice. I was the one calming Jegede down. The person that I’m sorry for is Madam Undue Process. That’s how people waste opportunities. If only she will believe in my government the way her sister, Ngo does, she will be licking her fingers now instead collecting tears in her palm. During dinner, Bomboy, my son, said he liked Malala. My eyes shone as he said it. Now, that’s my boy. I don’t want him to make the same mistake I made. I want him to marry up. Wednesday, July 16, 2014: Apama reported this morning that the National Conference is deadlocked on derivation formula. I said, good for them, stupid people. They think that governance is easy. We really got all those who run their mouths together. What a good distraction it was while it lasted. I’m happy, though, that the likes of Yinka Odumakin and Tunde Bakare are coming around. They are beginning to understand all the powers and principalities that I’m up against. Ajasco said that this thing Danjuma said to me at the inauguration of the Victims Support Fund was not funny. I thought he was trying to be funny. He wants me to lead them to Sambisa forest. I’m not falling for that trap. Who wan die? No be me. The generals no wan die, na me go die for them? Peter did not go to Jude’s wedding and nothing spoil. So, why me? At the end, they will all confess that I’m a better politician than they are. The senate just dismissed the allegation that some NNPC funds were not remitted to the federal account. Now I hope the busybodies in the media will leave my darling Sweet Brent alone. What the senate did today makes we wish we have someone like Mark at the helm in the House of Representatives. Maybe we should add that Tambu Tambu on the impeachment list. I will remember to ask Apama tomorrow. He understands these things better than me. Thursday, July 17, 2014: I spoke to my lord spiritual and tithe-tual, Can-Ayo-Can, about the situation in the Middle East. He has not stopped calling as the fight escalates. He was passionate that my government should support Israel. His passion made me offer to visit Gaza and Israel to help them resolve that crisis. With my experience containing the excesses of Boko Haram, I can show the two sides the way to a lasting peace. I wanted to give Apama some secret information to write a book for me using a Pseudonym. I wanted the book to be called. “Jonathan: The President Nobody Knows.” But I have been told that the man is busy collecting materials to write his own book. But I really want to repaint my image out there. Apama showed me on Saharareporters what this other small girl writer wrote about me- something about my miraculous deliverance. I could not finish reading it. It was too long and too boring. I know what her problem is. Since the censorship board delayed the release of her movie, she has been getting more and more irritated. Does she know that I’m the one who pressed the buttons to let them release the movie? I know what is eating her up. I have not organized a reception for her the way I did for Malala. I know it. She wants me to gather all Nigerians and raise her hand and proclaim her the one who will write the great Nigerian novel. When I thought she was a good person, I actually toyed with that idea of acknowledging what she has achieved by putting her on a postal stamp. But Apama told me it is too premature and that he, Apama, is on course to write the Great Nigerian novel. So she is just the forerunner. Friday, July 18, 2014: Ajasco came and suggested that I should be photographed reading a book. I was mad that he interrupted the Candy Crush game I was playing on my cell phone to tell me that nonsense. Then they all gathered - Ajasco, Apama and Jegede - to debate which book I should pretend I was reading for the picture. Patie walked in and overheard what we were talking about. She suggested that I hold “Eze Goes to School.” When she left the room, I could not hold myself anymore. I said to the gang, “Dia is a God ooo.” Ajasco said I should hold “Americanah” and see if that small girl butterfly who thinks herself a bird will get off my case. I decided to hold the History of West Africa. I made a goodwill phone call to my friend, Jacob Zuma, as the world marks Mandela Day. One day, long after my enemies have all died off, Nigeria will pick a day to remember as mine. I dreamt about Israel and Hamas. On the screen of the TV, I saw a news flash that said, “Israel Enters Gaza” and underneath that was a ticker that said, “Jonathan Enters Sambisa.” I woke up, sweating. Saturday, July 19, 2014: I was planting cocoyam in my Facebook Farmville when my lord spiritual and tithe-tual, Can-Ayo-Can, called. He said they have killed an Israeli. He wants me to do something- go to the United Nations, he said, send support troops to Tel Aviv, buy an Iron Dome for Israel. I don’t get it. Since we came back from Israel I have not seen all the changes he promised would follow me for the rest of my term as president. His accuracy level is just as bad as those of the imported babalawo from Benin Republic. This evening, another big opposition politician came into Aso Rock to pledge that he will defect to our great party. I pay no mind to all the reasons he gave: how great I am and how much votes he would bring to me in 2015. Since we won in Ekiti, they have been coming in here and calling me Ranka Dede. Me, Jonathan? I thought I was clueless? I know the reason why the dog follows the man with a bloated stomach. It’s because one thing is sure to happen to him: he will either poop or vomit the contents of his stomach. That’s all this it is about. I cannot be deceived. Source: http://musbizublog.com/?p=17185

Processed or pre-cooked foods: Just like fried foods, processed or pre-cooked foods also impact your central nervous system and they also increase the risk of developing a degenerative brain disorder later in life (such as Alzheimer’s disease). Foods-that-kill-intelligence1- musbizublog Very salty foods: Everybody knows that salty foods affect your blood pressure and they are very hard on your heart. However, as research suggests, foods that contain high amounts of salt (sodium) can affect your cognitive function and impair your ability to think. Otherwise stated, salty foods affect your intelligence! As a matter of fact, the consumption of salty foods and nicotine has been shown to have the same effects as drugs, as they cause harsh withdrawal symptoms and cravings for salty foods. Grains, except 100% whole grain: All sorts of grains have an impact on your brain functioning and your overall health, except for 100 per cent whole grain, which is very rich in fibre and it is known to prevent arterial ageing. If you consume regular grains, your body risks ageing quicker than it should and you can also experience memory loss and brain fog. Processed proteins; Proteins are the building blocks of muscles and they are very important for the proper functioning of your body. Meat is the richest source of high-quality protein, but avoid overly processed protein such as hot dogs, salami, sausages and such. Unlike the natural proteins that help your body insulate the nervous system, processed proteins do exactly the opposite. Opt for natural fish (especially tuna and salmon), dairy, walnuts and seeds as these are natural, high-quality protein sources. Avoid trans fats: Trans fats cause a series of problems, from heart-related issues to elevated cholesterol and obesity Source: http://musbizublog.com/?p=17022

Pickpockets in Nigeria, especially in Lagos State, seem to have designed their method of operation to the extent their victims wonder if the experience was a fairytale or dream. In this write-up, MATTHEW DIKE examines pickpockets’ modus operandi Pickpocketing is not a new crime in Nigeria. It has been in existence for a very long period. In the 70s a place like Tafawa Balewa Square otherwise known as Race Course, in Lagos Island was the den of pick pockets. Then some passengers boarding Lagos State Transport Corporation buses plying Race Course – Palm Grove – Oshodi – Cappa (the last bus stop) Route usually hid their money and other valuables in their pants, bras, stockings and other funny places. 3rd-Mainland-Bridge-Lagos-musbizublog In 1979 I and some other young secondary school students who patronised the State buses because the transport fare was relatively cheap (just 15 kobo) from Race Course to Cappa. Though commuters at Oshodi, Yaba, Oyingbo, Ajegunle, Mile Two, Ojota, Iyana Ipaja, among other places in Lagos were not left out as pickpockets also operated in their areas. Some had lost their pay packets and wept. The pickpockets could be two, three, or more, depending on the gang. Their illegal escapades became so rampant at Race Course that we (students) began to monitor their activities. Each time somebody screamed that they had dispossessed them of their money either in the afternoon, evening or night, students would chase the hoodlums and anyone apprehended would be beaten black and blue. Students usually alert the would-be victims if they noticed some of the pickpockets trying to carry out their act. The pickpockets one day in 1979 when I was still a young student, connived with their colleagues who operated in other areas in Lagos to come to Race Course and deal with us. As their modus operandi was usually to use one of their colleagues in crime to block the entrance of the buses as if they were struggling to board the bus because the buses were not enough to contain the commuters at same time. People scrambled to board the available vehicles and in the process the pickpockets would steal their money and other valuables. So on that fateful day in 1979 my colleagues from different secondary schools were monitoring the pickpockets because there was no bus and commuters were stranded that afternoon, including us. When a bus finally arrived, we knew the hoodlums would strike but unknown to us they had mapped out a plan against us. Suddenly one man screamed that a pickpocket has stolen his money. Three other men around said the students should join them to chase the thief who was pretending to escape. We ignorantly chased the hoodlum towards NET building now called NITEL. Suddenly the pickpockets we were chasing turned around and began to call us thieves. We were sandwiched as they attacked us with sticks. We were shocked to know that the three men urging us to join in the chase were also pickpockets. Some soldiers came to our rescue and two of the hoodlums were arrested. After explanation, (trust Nigerian soldiers) they gave them the beating of their lives. After the incident, students who usually board the bus at Race Course decided to attack any of the hoodlums during their various operations and that led to the reduction of pickpockets at Race Course. Students who usually board the State bus we called ‘Funky Train’ because of the number of passengers and lots of strange occurrences or funny things that happen in such vehicles became their prey while they ours. The method the pickpockets adopted was to slyly dip their hands into the victim’s pocket and remove whatever they can in his possession usually while rushing to board the bus. Some also use razor blade to cut victims pockets or handbags. They usually held newspapers to cover their hands to block people from seeing them. It was common to hear victims scream if he or she noticed that the money in their pockets or purse was gone. There are other methods of pickpocketing. One is called ‘Ogbe ko gbe’. Meaning: Dried or not dried. Pickpockets in this category would steal any cloth they find hanging out on a line whether dry or not. Another are the modern ones who would snatch handsets or purse during traffic grid locks. They may be two in number. While one would be at the off-side door talking to the driver, the other standing close to the driver’s door would use the opportunity to steal from the driver. Those others who operate on motorcycles snatch people’s bags and speed of, while the most daring are those that could be tagged robbers, who would intimidate victims and collect their cash and other valuables before taking to their heels. These cases have become very rampant in Lagos. A victim who lost N100,000 to such hoodlums, Mama Agnes said she was returning from work but she arrived Mile Two area, two boys came to her and ordered her to surrender her hand bag and she did. Mama Agnes told LEADERSHIP Sunday: “My brother this is the third time hoodlums would snatch her money. The first one was in December 1982 at Oshodi when I was boarding a bus to Orile. They stole the money and I couldn’t buy Christmas clothes for my three children because I’m a widow. The second was in 2001 when hoodlums operating on Okada snatched my purse containing N21,000 along Kirikiri Road Olodi- Apapa. The last was January this year when the hoodlums collected my N100, 000,” she said. Why and how some pickpockets step up to become armed robbers Most armed robbers or pickpockets would say the devil led them into the act. Some would claim that they are orpans and because they are abjectly poor they had to join a gang to survive. Some would blame it on peer group, saying their friends introduced them into the act. What baffles most people in Lagos is how the hoodlums know themselves. The pickpockets popular called ‘awala boys and girls’ have a way of walking and behaving, especially in Ajegunle area of Lagos State. Their dressings are usually very different and even their movements. The girls usually wear very short knickers which a responsible girl will not wear in public. They usually fixed eyelashes, walk like exhibitionists while their men tend to walk with a slant or bend. They like jeans trousers, and they are ‘in love with’ Indian hemp. They are big spenders in parties (among the poor). Lagos State police command recently arrested three suspected armed robbers after a tenant connived with them to rob their neighbours in Ajegunle area of the metropolis. The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja, led by the officer in charge, SP Abba Kyari arrested the three man-gang on June 15, 2014. The three suspects are Bode Oladejo, 22, Christian Opene, 26, and Matthew Nwachie, 20. The tenant, Opene who resides at Turner Eradiri Street, Ajegunle had some misunderstandings with his neighbour, Godwin Perebor, after the caretaker allegedly showered hot water on him. Opene was said to have gone to invite the gang to rob the whole residents. The complainant and victim Perebor was robbed on June 14, along with two other ladies in the house at about 3am while Opone was outside the compound. He allegedly escaped from the scene with the gang who had been dispossessing the victims of their cash and ATM cards. They carted away N295,000, a purse, two ATM cards and a company ID card. http://musbizublog.com/?p=16842

Former executive committee member of the Federation of International Football Federation, (FIFA) and Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), Dr Amos Adamu has revealed how Nigeria was able to escape FIFA’s ban from all international football activities. Reacting to the lifting of the suspension clamped on Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, by (FIFA) following the court order that restrained the NFF executive committee and congress from commanding and controlling Nigeria’s football, he said the directive given to him by the Sports Minister and Chairman National Sports Commission (NSC), Dr Tammy Danagogo to lead a 5-man delegation to Brazil to meet FIFA president, Sepp Blatter was what saved Nigeria from the ban. He said contrary to speculations that FIFA refused to receive the delegation in Brazil to resolve the vexed issue, they were personally received by the FIFA president himself. “I certainly know that FIFA will not tolerate such a thing and they were heading to a situation where they will ban us. So when I was told by the Honourable Minister to lead the delegation to FIFA and explain what happened to them, I said we must first get the court order vacated and once we did that, we will not have problem with the world football body. fifa_logo-musbizublog “I led the delegation of about five people to FIFA and when we got there, I went to CAF president, Issa Hayatou with the delegation to explain our mission to him. Even before we got there, I had called him to say he should intervene on our behalf so that FIFA will not ban us out-rightly. And when we reached there and explained everything to him, he said, ‘FIFA headquarter is just about 20 minutes drive from here’. He immediately directed his personal assistant to call FIFA office to tell the head of National Association that Nigeria’s delegation was there to see the president and when Blatter heard that Dr Adamu was there, he said he will come to meet us in the hotel. “He left his office and met us in our hotel. We explained everything to him that it was not the issue of government interference but a member of the football family that went to court. He simply told me that I know the right thing to do and asked me to go and get them to do the right thing after which it will be over. I told him we will do the right thing but that he should give us time to do that and that was how they gave us two more days. I assured him that within those two days, we will resolve all the issues and get the court order vacated. “When we came back and reported to the Honourable Minister, I invited Baribote to come and told him to vacate the court order. I pleaded with him that we needed his cooperation to resolve the issue and I am happy that he complied with us and went to Jos to tell the court that he will not continue with the case and later got the order vacated. “Before then I was in touch with FIFA, assuring them that we will not exceed the deadline and when the order was vacated I told them to send it to FIFA immediately before 11 pm so that they can receive it before 12 midnight that day. I called FIFA to tell them that the man had vacated the order and that the board had been reinstated. They said no problem as they promised to get back to us by Friday. So, I am happy that the issue is now over but I hear some people saying that FIFA refused to listen to us. If FIFA refused to listen to us, how did they manage to give us two more days to get court order vacated?” Source: http://musbizublog.com/?p=16833

Juan-Cuadrado-James-Rodriguez-Colombia-musbizublog Pluri Consultoria compare this list with the rankings they produced the World Cup and there are some intriguing revelations. Unsurprisingly, Germany players are those that have increased in value the most with 10 entries in the top 50 as opposed to seven before the tournament. The top five did not change position, with Luis Suarez only losing 1% of his value, despite a third career bite on Giorgio Chiellini. Whilst both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo lost value, the big winners were undoubtedly James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos, Juan Cuadrado, Andre Schurrle and Paul Pogba. The players to depreciate the most were Hulk, Cesc Fabregas and Mario Balotelli. see list here: http://musbizublog.com/?p=16613

Some people, who have watched the remix of Patoranking’s ‘Girlie O’ (watch here) music video have expressed sadness over the way the budding singer interpreted the song. They argued that the former Timaya’s Dem Mama Records’ artiste did not fully express the words of his song with action. patoranking and tiwa-musbizublog Patoranking featured Tiwa Savage in the remix of the song and shot the video, which has been enjoying favourable airplays. Tiwa Savage has been in the news lately for the wrong reasons, which have mostly been with the way she makes some erotic moves. At a concert held few months ago, the sexy singer ‘rocked’ the life of a fan who mounted the stage with her while performing. This got many tongues wagging. Many apparently thought that if Tiwa Savage could free her body to a ‘stranger’, she will not raise an eyebrow for a colleague like Patoranking to have a field day on the body of the wife of Tunji ‘Tee Billz’ Balogun. But in the music video, Patoranking tried as much as possible to respect Tiwa Savage’s body, which some people are not happy about. Those who have commented to the video believe that the young singer should have held Tiwa Savage tightly, especially when she made the move to hold him closely as expressed in the video. Speaking exclusively with on this matter, Patoranking explained that he was only trying to be professional in the music video, and wondered why some people would want him to be unprofessional. Hear him, “Tiwa is a very wonderful person, trust me, I enjoyed working with her, but we kept it professional as we tried to do all we were supposed to do.” When told that some fans had expected him to closely hold Tiwa like a lover, he said, “we did and it is cool.” http://musbizublog.com/?p=16525
