Speed limiter is a device to electronically control the top speed of vehicles, either to comply with government legislation or the vehicle owner's requirements, without affecting any other aspect of the vehicle's operation.
The speed limiter is different from the cruise control in in cars. The speed limiter both limit the vehicle speed as well as record it at intervals calibrated by the installer. This recorded event can be retrieved for investigations by a policing authority. e

The speed limiter allows maximum pulling power until a preset speed limit is reached when the driver can not accelerate the car beyond the limit even though he pedals it down completely. Maximum pulling power here means the acceleration power of the vehicle will not reduce (will still be intact) as though nothing was install on your vehicle save when the vehicle accelerated up to the highest speed it was calibrated not to exceed then pulling force from the engine is withdrawn and the vehicle begins to maintain a steady speed.

The speed limiter does not stop the car when it is attempted to exceed it calibrated limit. Neither does it limit the speed of a car when descending a slope or a hill but human desecration should be applied in this situation to avoid fine as all speed beyond the calibrated limit are recorded and saved in the device.

WHY LIMITER?

The primary reason is safety. obviously, the roadways would be a lot more dangerous if every road user is driving well above 100km/hr all the time. The faster a car travels, the more aerodynamically unstable it is due to wind resistance, so its hard to handle. most drivers simply don't have the reflexes it takes to handle those kind of speeds.

Speed limiter are also provided to protect the engine and the car itself. An engine's lifespan drops significantly if it's running at maximum speed all the time because it is being made to work much harder than it normally would. Another important factor is the car's tyres. Have you ever look at all those number and letters on the sides of your tyres? These rating informs you of the maximum velocity a tyre can sustain before its in danger of blowing out.

GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS
The federal government of Nigeria through the Road safety has made it mandatory for all vehicle in Nigeria to be fitted with a speed limiter before the end of this year full enforcement will commence.

FUEL ECONOMY

There are environmental factors as well. The faster a car moves the more fuel it consumes and the more pollution it produces.

try research on who an artisan, technician, technologist, engineer and a consultant engineer/ their roles are.
that graduate does not knw who he realy is he shouldnt hv accepted to do the job of a technician in the first place.
and for the graduate, it is espected of him that he should know how to use simple electrical tool like current tester but if he does not knw it its not the fault if Nigerian university.
