@fatiah, please guide me on this one... On Tuesday, my tracking number said my documents have been delivered. But on my mcc portal, it's still showing "not received "
How long does it take b4 the status changes to receive after it has gotten to mcc office in Canada.?

I don't think this is true. Both d copies of ur passport and mbbs degree certificate should be notarised.

God oh.... Guys am confused oh... am at DHL office in Abuja, I have both the notarized and d non-notarized copy of my certificate, should I just attache both of them making it a total of six documents Or will I be penalized for that??

Anyway, we do not evaluate our credentials through WES. its done through mcc Canada. Check out their site for info. www.mcc.ca
Thus far, i have gathered the following info as regards an MBBS ECA.
1)open an account on www.physiciansapply.ca a $278 non-refundable fee is charged.
2)request for a source verification (svr) of your qualification on the physicians apply site (this is done through ECFMG). It costs $157.
3)Send mcc a copy of your mbbs degree and a cover letter (downloaded from your physicians apply account) via courier.
4)2-3 working days after receiving no. 3, ECFMG sends a request for a source verification of your degree to your school via regular mail (with a copy of your degree, a form to be filled and a pre-addressed envelope). If the school does not respond within 60 days, they will send another request to the school. At this point you can opt for a courier delivery to your school. They will only repeat this step 4 up to a maximum of 3 times.
5)ECFMG responds to your school and processes your verification within 20 working days and then you can proceed to step 6.
6)Request for an ECA from mcc. this would cost $102 and would take 21 working days to process.
7)Pay a courier fee for delivery of your ECA to Nigeria (about $140).
Note that step 2 may take as long as 100 days or more seeing as most Nigerian schools claim not to receive this mail. To speed up your process, you wanna keep tabs on your school right after ecfmg requests for a source verification and ensure they check their mail and then you pay for a courier delivery back to ecfmg. My certificate has now been verified. I have now applied for ECA.
Timeline (to help others)
Documents sent to MCC- May 4
Received - May 9
Viewable online- May 14
Under review - June 4
Reviewed and not accepted- June 4. This was due to a part of the certificate not showing on the photocopy
Another photocopy sent via email- June 4
Reviewed and accepted- June 29
Ready for ECFMG submission- June 29
Submitted to ECFMG- June 30
Verification returned (passed)- July 6

I kept contacting them via chat on a weekly basis to know the status of my application.
I'm glad I've gone pass this stage. The photocopying error caused me an extra 4 weeks.

Responded to your pm. Your debit card would work as well. Used FCMB and Gtb master cards for payments and they worked just fine.

Yes, u'll need to notarize d photocopy of d Certificate and international passport send along with d filled and stamped identity confirmation form, cover letter and consent release form. No, u won't need to notarize d cover letter

Thank u so much... So there are two things that don't need to be notarized : cover letter and consent release form, right? Everything gets a stamp or seal from a notary public, right?

U only need your mbbs certificate for source verification to get an ECA report. A notarised copy of the certificate along with ur international passport and certified identity form printed from your account should be sent via courier to mcc. Please read the page 0 of this thread to have a better understanding of the process.

I see my post made it onto a new thread. You may not have intended to pass it on as yours but you for at least copy my name join the content and credit me on the post instead of cc-ing me naaaaaaa. Anyway i think there is a lil correction to step 4. It is only after ecfmg has sent the request 3 times (60 days x 3) and are yet to get a response from your school before you can request for the svr to be sent by courier.
