Talented Nigerian music star, Brymo, has disclosed his wishful political ambition to become NigeriaÂ’s President.

The RnB Soul singer said he has big political ambitions which include becoming the President of the country someday.

In this chat with Nigerian Entertainment Today, the ‘One Pound’ crooner said, “I have aspirations to become Nigerian president because I know I have a lot to offer.

“My only hindrance at the moment is my lack of a university degree which I am working on obtaining soon,” the father of one said.

on employees at Osaka University in Japan
suggested that drinking two or more soda

study published in Clinical Pharmacology and
Therapeutics, two cigarettes a day are enough to double the number of endothelial cells present in
your blood. This is a signal of arterial damage.

Nephrology cites many different studies
conducted since 2003 which all link smoking to
decreased kidney function. 3. Vitamin B6 deficiency – A healthy diet is
important for good kidney function. According
to the studies performed at the University of
Maryland Medical Center, vitamin B6 deficiency
increases your risk of kidney stones. For optimal
kidney function, you should consume at least 1.3 milligrams of vitamin B6 daily. The richest
sources of this vitamin include fish, chickpeas,
beef liver, potatoes and starchy vegetables, and
non-citrus fruits. 4. Lack of exercise – Exercise is another good
way to protect your kidneys. A large study
published in 2013 in the Journal of the American
Society of Nephrology suggested that
postmenopausal women who exercised had
31% lower risk of developing kidney stones. Generally speaking, maintaining a healthy
weight will reduce your chances of kidney
stones, so get moving. 5. Magnesium deficiency – If you don’t get
enough magnesium, calcium can’t get properly
absorbed and assimilated, which can result in
calcium overload and kidney stone formation. To
prevent that, consume green leafy vegetables,
beans, seeds and nuts. The mighty avocado is a good source of magnesium as well

A traditional ruler in Odo-Onosa village in Epe area of Lagos, Chief Jimoh Balogun and two others were yesterday arraigned before a Lagos High Court at Igbosere over alleged rape and armed robbery.

The others arraigned with him were Morufu Adekoya and Adefowope Kazeem.

They were docked on a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, armed robbery and rape preferred against them by the police.

They were arraigned before Justice Ralliatu Adebiyi and pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to them.

According to the police, the accused conspired to commit the offence on March 26, 2014, at about 10:30am at Odo-Onosa.

The Lagos State prosecuting counsel, Babatunde Oguntemowo told the court that while armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, they robbed one Adeomi Ayomide of her wristwatches, three laptops and N272, 000.

He added that the accused also robbed one Korede Fayibo of a television set, one DVD player, unspecified amount of money and other valuables.

The court also heard that one of the victims was raped by the accused men after being robbed.

In her ruling, Justice Adebiyi granted the traditional ruler bail on self recognition while she granted the other accused bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.

The case was adjourned till January 18, 2016.

Former Deputy Governor of Niger State, Ahmed Musa Ibeto, has been scraped off the ministerial list of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Vanguard reports that Buhari has sent a letter to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, notifying him of the withdrawal of Ibeto.

The letter will be read at the floor of the Senate before screening commence on Wednesday.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Rivers State chapter, has expressed its happiness at what it called “the awesome show of support and love by overwhelming number of Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi when the Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Senator George Sekibo attempted to submit a purported petition against former Governor Amaechi on the floor of the Senate”.

A statement released by Mr. Chris Finebone, its State Publicity Secretary, said “the story of Senator George Sekibo easily qualifies as a classical case of somebody biting the finger that fed him or her”.

The statement read: “We would like to recall that former governor Chibuike Amaechi it was, who single-handedly insisted and supported Senator George Sekibo in 2011 against the vehement agitation by Nyesom Wike for the Rivers East Senatorial ticket. Despite being the governor’s Chief of Staff, the then Governor Amaechi resisted Wike’s intensive lobby and stood by Senator Sekibo to go for a second term. Apparently, this is one of the grievances Wike nurses for Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi to this day.

“That George Sekibo is a 3 times Senator today is due to former governor Amaechi’s moral, political and resource support and the Senator knows this. All the Senators before Sekibo, including Senator John Mbata served only two terms.

“It was a relief that Senator George Sekibo finally exposed himself today as the character behind the production of 116 CDs titled Rivers of Corruption for distribution to the 109 Senators of the Federal Republic in which highly malicious and unfounded accusations of corruption were levelled against the person of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi without proof of any kind. The aforesaid CDs are a repetition of accusations earlier made against the former governor by the so-called Integrity Group formed and sponsored by Governor Nyesom Wike and the PDP for which all the issues have earlier been sufficiently dealt with by all those who served under the former governor as Commissioners.”

He added that “It is not surprising that Senator George Sekibo lacks basic knowledge of how the Amaechi administration worked, otherwise he would have understood that former Governor Chibuike Amaechi only exercised oversight while the Commissioners were the actual managers of government projects and programmes under the different Ministries.

“The APC would like to emphasize that the former Commissioners, who were executors of the Amaechi administration’s projects and programmes have also robustly responded to the Integrity Group with facts and figures that showed off their accusations as a tissue of lies and a figment of their warped imaginations

“Once again, it was a thing of joy to observe Distinguished Senators across party lines spontaneously rise in defence of a good man, whose only offence is his dogged fight that contributed in no small way to the woeful defeat of the PDP and former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in the 2015 general elections. Our Distinguished Senators rose beyond partisan politics and narrow interests when it mattered most and showed that an exceedingly visionary leader like Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi cannot be made a victim of cheap political blackmail by some selfish, misguided and small-minded persons.

“The APC would like to warn the likes of George Sekibo not to embark on the fruitless enterprise of launching hate campaigns against Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi as God will continue to render such exercises dead on arrival. Whom God has blessed, no man can curse.”

“For us in Labour Party, we do not see anything that resembles change as far as the ministerial team is concerned. Imagine bringing someone who served in the government of the late Sarduana of Sokoto to serve as minister in 2015. Buhari has nothing to offer Nigeria.
There is no promise of change at all. All these people are analogue persons who cannot bring about any change under the current dispensation. It is also very unfortunate that Nigerian youth who make up the greater percentage of our population and who voted for Buhari massively were not given their due share in the ministerial nomination,” he decried.
