Politics / Re: North Korea Excutes Kim Jong's Uncle.. by Enigmaticicon(m): 11:50am On Dec 13, 2013
It also claimed he pursued a "decadent
capitalist lifestyle" – squandering at
least €4.6m in 2009 alone, including in
a foreign casino – and deliberately
hampered construction projects in
Pyongyang.
He sold off natural resources "at
random" and committed treachery by
selling off land at the Rason special
economic zone for five decades, it
added, apparently in reference to a
deal with Russia.
"They are using this opportunity to
scapegoat Uncle Jang by relegating
responsibility for all policy failures,"
said Leonid Petrov of the Australian
National University.
Other offences cited include
halfhearted applause as Kim rose to
power and Jang's "reckless"
instruction to security forces to erect a
granite block with Kim's signature in a
shaded corner rather than in front of
their headquarters.
Brian Myers, an expert on ideology at
Dongseo University in Busan, noted
that the denigration of Jang held
potential perils for the leadership. It
raised questions about his ability to
cause so much damage for so long and
sat uneasily with North Korea's use of
collective punishment.
"This is a member of the clan in a
culture where the regime tends to
punish entire families for crimes
committed by one of them. So it seems
odd to be so explicit about [his]
crimes," Myers said.
KCNA said Jang had long held a "dirty
political ambition" but dared not act
while Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il were
alive.
Politics / North Korea Excutes Kim Jong's Uncle.. by Enigmaticicon(m): 11:40am On Dec 13, 2013
North Korea has executed Kim Jong-
un's uncle as a "traitor for all ages"
who confessed to planning a coup,
state media has announced.
Jang Song-thaek, previously one of the
country's most powerful men, was
accused of everything from plotting to
overthrow the state to instigating
disastrous currency reforms and
dishing out pornography in the report
from official news agency KCNA.
It denounced him as "worse than a
dog" and "despicable human scum".
KCNA said a special military tribunal
had found him guilty of treason and
the Rodong Sinmun newspaper carried
a photograph of him handcuffed and
held by uniformed guards in the
courtroom.
North Korea announced earlier this
week that Jang, thought to be in his
late 60s, had been stripped of all posts
and expelled from the Workers' party
for offences including factionalism,
corruption and dissolute behaviour.
But many had thought his marriage to
the youthful leader's aunt – the sister
of late leader Kim Jong-il – was likely
to save his life.
In Pyongyang, people crowded around
subway station billboards displaying
the morning paper and news of the
execution, Associated Press reported.
Others sat quietly and listened as a
radio broadcast broadcast into the
subway listed Jang's crimes.
The lengthy, bombastic and at times
downright bizarre report from KCNA
quoted an alleged admission by Jang
that he sought to destabilise the
country, triggering discontent among
the military and others. He planned to
become premier if North Korea
approached collapse and use illicitly
acquired wealth to ensure that "the
people and service personnel will
shout 'hurrah' for me" and his coup
would succeed smoothly".

ABASIAMA IDARESIT, 34, NIGERIA
Abasiama Idaresit is a firm believer in the possibilities of the internet for Africa. He is the founder and CEO of Wild Fusion, a Nigeria-based digital marketing agency with a presence in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya. It has a clientele of blue-chip companies including Pepsi, Unilever, Diamond Bank and Vodafone. Upon completion of his Information Systems and Management course at the London School of Economics in 2008, Idaresit returned to Nigeria to start Wild Fusion. This was before the rise of Twitter, when internet advertising was still a very unpopular idea in the country. After eight months with little to no revenue generated, Idaresit’s $250-money-back trial service increased a reluctant client’s earnings by 100 percent in three months. So stunning was the result that Google adopted it as an internet marketing case study. The company became Google Adwords’ first local certified partner and was named Nigeria’s best digital agency in 2011. In 2012, having received no external funding, it recorded an annual turnover of $6 million. Idaresit, who has been featured on CNN among other media outlets, says he has always loved the internet and wants to see it change Africa.

9. LADY GAGA
If you wanted to see Lady Gaga naked, Marina Abramovic helped that happen. Gaga starred in a bizarre clip for "The Abramovic Method," which apparently involves standing in fields nude, sitting on rocks nude and screaming a lot. But guys, it's like, totally art, you guys. You just don't get it.
10. SETH ROGEN
Seth Rogen and James Franco lampooned Kanye Westand Kim Kardashian's now-infamous "Bound 2" video ... and somehow lookedlessridiculous than Kimye did. But, guys, where the hell are your helmets?

7. RIHANNA
Rihanna got kicked out of Abu Dhabi for being too sexy. She responded by posting this selfie in which everything -- even her face -- is naked. Can we all just bask for a moment in how unfair life is? The girl is stunning. But this is pretty much just Tuesday for Rih, who loves showing off what she's got.
8. SHIRI APPLEBY
Shiri Appleby showed the full monty, so why didn't her sexy selfie get the Miley treatment from the press? Perhaps because that's what it was going for: The shot, which showseverything, came out suspiciously close to when Appleby was topless onGirls... and no one was buying it as an accident.

4. ROSIE HUNTINGTON WHITELEY
Fellow model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley suffered a nip slip at the 2013 British FashionAwards. Perhaps an award should be given to double-stick tape next time?
5. NICKI MINAJ
Nicki Minaj has had so many nip slipsthat she almost always opts for pasties nowadays -- but who needs pasties when you've got palms? (And believe it or not, this is one of the more covered up shots on her Instagram!)
6. JOSH HUTCHERSON
After some alleged nudes of Josh Hutcherson came out in late July, we got tongue-tied. But the pics never really, er, caught fire -- because, well, look at his jaw. The shots were PhotoShopped to death and dismissed as fake pretty quickly.

2. DEMI LOVATO
The bizarre image you see here is the tamest in a series of leaked photos supposedly of Cyrus' pal,X Factorjudge and fellow Disney alum Demi Lovato. While the authenticity of the shots has been questioned, many point out that the presence of her tattoos--as well as of Wilmer Valderrama--speak to their legitimacy. Lovato never commented, though, and the story faded into relative obscurity as soon as Cyrus started up her thirsty "urban" antics again.
3. CHRISSY TEIGEN
What do you get a swimsuit model for her birthday? If you're John Legend, you get Chrissy Teigen a tweet featuring her nipple. Were all the florists closed?

Which celebs got naked and caused a stir in 2013?
So many people got naked so often in 2013 that it was a little tough to narrow down all the salacious nude photos and videos that hit the Web.
But fear not: We're here to help. From Miley Cyrusto Lady Gaga and beyond, check out the biggest celebrity sexscandal stories of the year!
1. MILEY CYRUS
Miley Cyrus showed a lot(!) of skin in 2013, particularly at the VMAs when she attempted to twerk on Robin Thicke and some innocent teddy bears. But it's her naked bod in her "Wrecking Ball" video that broke YouTube records. Was it the spit string? The tears? The likelihood of a rash? The Terry Richardson creep factor? Maybe a little of all of those. Which is sad, because the song itself shows off her pipes!
