The trajectory of Nigerian economy is purely petroleum, and petrol it's like a substructure to every other activity of a living Nigerian. That is the food, the clothing, the transportation, and everything.

Nigeria currently has an overbloated recurrent expenditure that needs to be reduced,the government needs to reduce the cost of running government.
What we need now is closing down duplicate parastatals and agencies, reducing salaries of political office holders and civil servants.

More increase in salaries of civil servants and political office holders gives room for more budget deficits and more debts.

Only those with sound economic background would understand the point I am raising.

Mr Cardoso deserves commendation. He's better than any CBN gov since 1999.

My only problem with him is the partial floating of the naira. You can't claim to have "unified" rates when there are still two rates/trading windows. Abolish the NFEM (or suspend it) and let the naira trade freely. That way, (1) it will find its true value and (2) arbitrage will end.

2027 is truly an election between Tinubu vs the masses. When the time comes Nigerians will tell them whether the citizens have been their priority or not, and how much their governance impacted the masses positively.
