4bobo: Honestly,I used to Criticize GEJ before, until about a year ago, i could see some of his works progressively. Don't ask me where.
He may be very gentile and slow , but He is moving forward, his administration may not be perfect, but I can bet it that it is better than Obasanjo eight years put together. I think he has a very good heart to develop this country.The only problem I have with his administration is that I thought he should have stopped or limit exportations of crude oil, having come from that region that knows who and how is being stolen, he should have limited their oparations (unless He is part of them). He should have built 2-3 refineries by now and lets feel the benefits of belonging to a country that has crude oil as part of its natural resources just like the arabs and the wests.
With the portrait that Tinubu, my former governor has displayed in IYALOJA SAGA, I believe that he is not better than any PDP LEADERS. He is just looking for many ways to exploit common man. It is a simple as that.

Consultville: Founder and Spiritual head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Babatunde Ayodele, has predicted victory for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 elections just as he said that President Goodluck Jonathan would not enjoy the support of PDP governors from the North.

The prophecy among others was contained in the 2013/2014 predictions of the renowned cleric presented to the public on Friday in Lagos.

“Despite the fact that the PDP party will break up, it will still win the 2015 elections.

“President Jonathan will win the presidential election for a second term and he must pray to avoid taking a wrong step,” he said.

He revealed that,“The move to reconcile the northern PDP governors will fail while the president needs prayer to sustain his health.”

The cleric also warned of crisis in the land as a result of the 2015 elections and added that the President will lose the support of notable South West politicians.

In reference to the merger of opposition parties under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Primate Ayodele said, “the ACN, APGA, ANNPP and CPC merger will fail.

“Let us pray fervently for Nigeria natural resources and sharing formula will cause disaffection. Let us pray against bloodshed in the country,” he urged Nigerians.

Very wise decision for her to decamp. The NYSC dress code is stated before you apply for camp. She can go go back home, does not really matter. Secondly she was serving in Ogun state that is not a muslim state ( THANK GOD), so what was her problem? If I were to go to sokoto and put on a bum short they would probably cut my legs off. So if you want to live with the romans, you have to dress and behave like the romans. If you dont like roman laws, leave rome. Simple. You guys even messed up by posting this thread. ENUGU—CHAIRMAN of Awgu Local Government area of Enugu State, Chief Uche Anioke has advocated the ban of female participants in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme from carrying out their primary assignments in banks.

He said that some financial institutions in the country have turned such ladies into “banking prostitutes and cheap labour” even as they are given unrealistic targets that expose them to danger.

Anioke, a former commissioner for youth and sports in the state and NYSC member during the 1984/85 session in Oyo State, regretted that the nation’s commercial banks, especially the new generation ones among them now turns female youth corps members posted to them into “banking prostitutes” saying the ugly development has defeated the objective for which the scheme was established.

He recalled that the NYSC scheme was established by decree No 24 of 22nd May, 1973 by the then General Yakubu Gowon Regime with the objective of inculcating discipline in Nigerian youths by instilling in them a traditional industry at work and of patriotic and loyal service to Nigeria in any situation they may find themselves.

The council boss who spoke with reporters during a welcome party organized by the Local Government for the batch C 2008 corps members posted to the state, frowned at a situation where some banks would pick a female corps member and sent her out for marketing after setting a target of over N20milion for her.

Such actions of the nation’s financial institutions, he noted, has negated the objective of the NYSC, adding that “I don’t think the scheme was set up to serve private organizations, it was established to serve the Nigerian public.

Why are they speaking for the female bankers? Where is the proof that any1 has complained? It's a tough world. Yes somethings might be wrong, But sacrifice, compromise, communication, creativity & innovation is the key to success in life. They just only have decide what they want in life! That all. Men need to remove that notion that female bankers are prostitutes. Most bankers are overworked & underpaid, not just in Nigeria but in other prominent places in the world. It is an economic recession. A global economic meltdown. The few jobs that are left are reserved for those 'who know pple' n are willing, committed & determined. If you are sitting & waiting for a job that is going to give you the best working conditions or everytin on a gold plate, you are living with the 'obloguses' on planet pluto. Get Real!

Ehmm firstly, NYSC is not a religious organization or an open platform for negotiation of conduct. Secondly, NYSC is call to youthfulness & responsibility. Yes i want to be with a guy from dusk to dawn & yes wateva follows is part of the experiences that every youth is meant to pass through in life. I want guys, MANY GUYS on my camp. If you dont want you child to mix with guys/dudes, then dont send her to camp. I like bum shorts, I like guys, cute fine guys who I might meet on camp, bcoz it is all part of my growing experience & i dont want to be deprived of it. We are not all muslims. so wat if i say I grew up in france & french kissing is a form of greeting? For ur information by the way, girls are going to kiss, hug and do everything that they are supposed to at that age. whether in camp or locked up in an attic of a 100ft castle on an island in the middle of the atlantic ocean surrounded by deadly sharks. I like bum shorts & short skirts because i have a wonderful body & nice long legs that i workout in the gym everyday to keep fit for and given to me by God. so i need to show it off. How many muslims are even at NYSC camps as relates the entire NYSC population. Very small percentage. Me i want shorts in the morning! if they are pushing for banning morning white shorts to replace it with hijab, am also pushing to replace the shorts with shorter bum shorts. Please, the world has moved on! you guys should move on!!! And stop being stuck in time.

Most corpers dnt wear d white materials giving to them in camp,they bring them from home,also muslim ladies are allowed to where hijab and a three-quarter trouser; and also most camp in Nigeria has cancelled camp fire night and replace it with something else,u cn go n find out!
Then,there is a saying dt charity begins at home,if a lady wants to b wayward,no amt of hijab or seperate camp can stop her...d ladies dt r wayward in camp were nt forced to it,they willingly agree to it!
If any muslim lady see something wrong in mixing with a guy,then she can simply seperate herself in some ways...afterall,nothing like rape in camps!

It just cant reviewed because of 1 religion. NYSC is not a religious organization. If you know you do not want your daughter to wear shorts in mornings, then dont send her to camp. Me i like wearing shorts in the morning. I need to breathe. You dont expect everyone to choke & be packed in clothes of heat in early in the morning. Those ar the rules. If you dont like the American constitution, you dont go to america. SIMPLE FACT.

Please try to understnad me/us, we have rules and regulations guiding us as Muslims, and these rules are from God, we try to obey them to the best of our abilities and demand for them under the auspices of fundamental human right. When we come on here to explain to you the reasons, applying logic and common sense, we hope you'll see the proper perspective and rationale behind our rules and regulations.

When God created the earth, he didn't create another earth for women, even with that, does not give us the liberty to start behaving irresponsibly.

The case of the university makes me remember that until cases of sexual harassment got so high, there was really no uni with a dress code. Now what do we have? Dress codes in lag, lasu, illorin etc. if this law is properly enforced, cases of rape or sexual harassment would reduce to the bearest minimum. I hope you get what i am trying to say?

On the contrary, we are borthered, but the victim here are the females, we men can still put on the camp attire, and participate in the drills to a certain extent. The aim of NYSC is primarily national integration, its a lofty goal, i served in benue and i know how much it has impacted on me and how i feel about other tribe and ethnicity, keeping proper moral ethics would not in any way hamper the goals and aims of NYSC rather, it would strengthen it.

NYSC is not a religious institution. If muslims have laws guiding them from ''God'', then they should not come for NYSC camps. Adam & Eve came naked to the world afterall. How are the muslims so sure that other peoples' religion don't have nudity guiding them as laws?.

and besides NYSC is not a religious organization. so if you are not comfortable with your child attending a particular school, organization or camp (as the case may be), then do not enrol the child in that organization. NYSC is not a must. If it a sin, dey can probably stop doing NYSC.

but we don't want it! why should they force us to accept something we don't want? all they can ask for is compromise. That would be maybe separate camps in the northern states and all northern youth corpers should probably be posted to the north. Everyone isn't a muslim. And all states are not muslims schools.
