Overall the Phantom 8 is a remarkable device, based on a first impression Tecno did quite some good job on the device. So let me hand the rest over to you guys.

Finally, you have the Model, maker, country of make and Phantom 8 inscription on the back.

Settings up of the Phantom 8 was swift and easy. The device runs on Android™ 7.0 Nougat and HIOS 3.0.

Regular 3.5mm earphone jack is positioned at the top just like every other Tecno devices.


The Speaker grill, Antenna line, Microphone and the USB Type C charging port are at the bottom of the device.

At the right side of the device is the power button and the volume rocker.


The Sim injector tray is at the left side of the device and it is accessible with the help of the sim card injector in the box. All you have to do is slight insert the pin the hole beside the tray, apply little pressure and the tray pops out.
Note that the device comes with a hybrid sim tray which can only accommodate a single Micro Sim/SD Card or a Micro/Nano sim cards at a time.

At the top of the screen are the 20 MP Selfie camera, speaker for calls and dual flash lights.

Sitting monstrously at the back is the dual 13MP & 12MP Refocusing camera with tri Flash and the fingerprint scanner.


Another thing I noticed about the device is that the menu, exit and multitask buttons are not on-screen like its predecessor, which is actually cool for me.

The device itself is light and handy with it 5.7-inch lovely display.

There’s a transparent nylon protector at the front and on the back to protect of the phone from accidental scratches.

Enough with the accessories, let’s take a proper look at the Phantom 8 device. The very first thing that caught my attention is the 4GLTE
worldwide roaming meaning you can make use of your Phantom 8 device anywhere in the world.

Also Included are the documentations a warranty card, indemnity card, Boom play music card and customized warranty card.

Tecno Mobile also included a free transparent back case in replacement of the Smart cover (Pouch) and a transparent body protector skin.

A nice adaptive fast charger and a USB Type C cord.


And also a nice pair of stunning Earphone.

Upon opening of the box is the Phantom 8 device quietly laying between two compartments boxes containing the accessories.

Few hours ago Tecno mobile officially unveiled the Phantom 8 at the Jumeirah Hotel, Dubai. The Phantom 8 is the successor of the Phantom 6 and 6 Plus which was released September 2017. This device is total package, a premium device which proves to be more advanced than its predecessor. The Phantom 8 box is protected with a nylon to prevent from dust and moisture which has already been removed before I started this unboxing since we all eager to see the Phantom 8.


The Phantom 8 comes in a rectangular shaped black box which is not as big as that of its predecessor (Phantom 6 Plus). The box is engraved with the Phantom 8 inscription on both sides and a shining 8 design at the top.
