toluxa1: Please when you want to send an alert to the group. Send it to the group email and not as a reply or comment on the group. If you post it as a reply people won't get it in their respective emails. But if you send it to the group email, everyone gets it in their mails.

Anyone that has the complete Indicators collection can also mail it there. You dont have to join to be able to send an email there.

i mentioned mailchimp earlier on the thread cos someone asked for what fxbomovi was using. To use mailchimp, we'll have to setup a blog on and put a form there where people will go to subscribe. Apart from that, its a one way system : from list owner to subscribers.

With google groups, no need to setup a blog and put up a form. Communication is also 2 way: from members to members.

So far, 6 of the 20 active people on this thread have joined. You can also send messages to that address without joining, and the members will get it. It works with non google emails too.

If we are not comfortable with this one, someone else can create something similar on http://groups.yahoo.com

i suspect he is finding it difficult to use mailchimp. this one is simpler to use. once he joins, i'll make him the owner.

we can all use it to communicate instead of dropping email addresses on the thread

just enter your yahoo email in the email field, and type a new password. It will work.
