Although the Euro started off strong this morning, news of fresh elections in Greece, further increasing the possibility of an EU exit, plus fresh calls in Italy to redraw their budget, has weakened the Euro.

A strong USD Index for the 2nd day running, has pushed down the EURUSD and pulled up the USDJPY.

Trade deficits in UK has also made the GBPUSD fall.

The NZDUSD was the hardest hit today.

AUDUSD and AUDJPY are in the positive.

2. if GBP/JPY touches 128.40, you place a bet that it will fall.

However, we need to include the price at which we enter (market price, SPOT price), and more importantly, the ratio its showing in our portfolio (cost price:current value) when we drop alerts.

Anyone with a demo account should pls enter it and supply the missing info for the house.

yup. Things are not as i expected.

How market? My first 3 closed positive. Going for a 2nd ride while waiting for gold to close.

Actually, i just seized the vacuum opportunity to demonstrate a basic hedging principle.

When u make 1 trade a day, its a 50:50 chance.

If you make 5 calls, u'd have to get 3 wrong to loose (or thereabouts).

Spreading the odds/risk over several trades/bets also enables you trade with more than the stipulated 10 to 20% .

The weakening euro is related to uncertainties as to whether Greece will remain part of the EU, and also the outcome of the French elections.

I just checked my portfolio again and all 4 are in the money (like 150/100), though i still have about an hour left before 3 of them close (then i repeat) .

I entered 1 or 2hrs late and used 423mins.

assuming you placed 5 x $20 bets, when you look at your portfolio, the value of the bets will let you know if it will win or loose.

The closer it is to 20 or the purchase price, the stronger your chances.

As you keep refreshing your portfolio, a loosing bet will drop from 20 and approach 0 fast.

If u place 5 of say 2hr bets in ur demo, u simply check their values 35mins to expiration, then place 30mins bets on the winners in ur live acct, then come and drop signals if u want.

This is just an example. The intervals vary. Hope u catch my drift?

i think he's using a different trader/platform, not BOM thats why the terms seem different.

The US Indices on BOM are:

US500 = S&P 500
US Tech = NASDAQ
WSI = DOW 30

I use both. I place the bets on the demo first and then copy the winners to the live account.

With time, you can tell which bets will be in the money once you place them.
