Religion / Re: Why Is Christian Dating So Difficult? by eol(f): 10:20pm On Dec 09, 2006
First @ Gridlock - You are absolutely wrong. Christians do and should date.

@ the originator and participants of this thread:
In general Christians assume when a man approaches them it has to be about marriage. Truth is, that assumption is awfully warped. There is no decision as important as the person (man/woman) you choose to marry and if you wish to learn the heart and spirit of whom your soul is placed on, you should not have die hard problems with dating a Christian or any woman of any religious belief.

While it is common that there is often a shroud of pretence between the parties involved in this relationship, it is due to the expectations of everyone they feel they should not offend by being together talking, laughing or holding hands. God has given no rule, only guidance. There is no rule to dating or courtship (Jesus took away the law and gave us His spirit). If your spirit is right and ripe for companionship, your heart will warm to love and give love. In love, you do not seek to satisfy your idealistic, masochist or physical desires; rather you (both parties referred) give twice as much joy, respect, sincerity, dedication, worth and elevation. That's the groundwork to building a healthy relationship - Christian or non-Christian.
God is true, there is no lie in him. I'm absolutely positive that in the moments that one feels sexually aroused even in the lilltlest ways, God sees it first so believe me He won't be mad if you talk about it with your partner. He expects you to, and He is faithful to remind you of His sufficient Grace and give you strength to conquer the temptation rather than let it conquer you.
Being sexually active is a choice that every individual makes Christians and non-Christians alike. So please let's not tag beliefs here. You can date or court successfully in a Christian relationship without pretence, unrealistic expectations(tags) and sexual intimacy. Just check yourself:
1. Are your ways, your thoughts and your intentions right and pure?
2. Does elevating God and His blessings of sex and sexuality cause you to conquer self?
3. Do you discuss matters that seem or sound like a taboo based on societal or 'church' expectations with each other and with God?
4. Do you discuss it because you want to learn God's plan and purpose and blessings for you or because you want to explore the possibilities of being involved sexually?
5. Can you recognise and draw the line between intimacy and sexual intimacy?
6. Are you really a Christian or more directly, are you a believer and born again, and do you really know what love is?

Now check with your partner.

Cheers!

Business / Re: Soap-making Business In Nigeria by eol(f): 1:12am On Oct 12, 2006
@ babyjay
I would like to know if anybody is knowledgeable about the soap business in Nigeria.

I think I would like to start my own soap company soon but on a small scale and mostly household soap.

I am currently handling a project of this kind and may be able to share some info (which i cannot post on this forum). u may want to google some info on soap-making, that will be a good start. also consider what kind of production u want to achieve - top quality, medium quality or low basic quality; how much do u want to produce and at what rate - daily, weekly or monthly; do u want to start-up in ur home or purchase a production plant; what unique quality will ur soap possess to compete in the market? it is not an easy start-up though, this enterprise; i must warn u. so brace urself and start to research aggressively if u want to develop ur interest. wink

You may want to contact airline operators directly for the information you seek. For international opportunities try Lufthansa, South African Airways, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Nigeria, Aero Contractors, Emirates. These airlines hire seasonaly and you may have to register on their websites. However, if you make efforts to meet with their HR representatives in Nigeria, your persistence will ensure you are the first to be contacted when it's hiring season. Goodluck.
