Christianity EtcRe: So Many Churches, So Much Confusion: How Come? by ePAYSYSTEM(m): 3:03pm On Jul 13, 2010
1. That people may know that you are my disciples if you have LOVE among yourselves
Love is lacking in Churches and elude whatever they preach. My uncle no longer go to Church today because the pastor snatched his wife after 6 children. Believe this!

2. What do Churches preach?
They preach wealth, success and prosperity. Jesus never preached prosperity. The focal point of Jesus' preaching was the kingdom of God which will solve mankinds' problems

3. Do the Churches make known God's name?
How would they if they misplace jesus' place in God's arrangement of things. Jesus is never the almighty God as Churches preach. JEHOVAH is the name of the almighty God and he is greater than Jesus, his son

4. Does Chruch goers truly have faith in Christ?
Well, they may say yes. But how true is the yes. Faith is not because you wish to have something better in return. Christiandom Churches tell people to believe in Christ becasue he would do everything for them including blessing them. This then is a misplaced love and faith

5. Is the Church' worship a way of life or is it ritualistic, a formality or even a norm?
Think about the mannerism in the worship of Catholics. Why the enchanting? when did Jesus teach that? Does the worship depict the inner heart? Why the image in worship? Why the Bishops' gown and robe, why everything, yes why? Worship whould be aroused out of love and not out of a written tenet outside the Bible codes.

6. Are Churches Separated from Politics?
Even a child can answer this. Remeber the Okoties, etc. But Jesus said he was no part of the world and he said the followers too would not be. So so,

So inasmuch as Chruches fail to uphold the Bible truth and directives, there must be confusions.
To learn the truth and know where to fine true peace and security even at this troubled and confused world and, learn from the witnesses at www.watchtower. org
Christianity EtcRe: Islam:d Only True Religion, D Bitter Truth. by ePAYSYSTEM(m): 2:33pm On Jul 13, 2010
I am a true Christian but I hate the way Christians or per se Christiandom argue when it comes to religion or to what looks contrary to their opinion or believe. I was brought in a Christian home that studies the Bible (not the one that reads the Bible). I was also taught how to reason from the Scriptures. I was taught never to abuse anyone because he seem not to believe what I do.

Know that these guys who believe in Mohamed and Allah have a conviction for that and it takes logic and real proof before you can lesson the iron clad. The same thing to YOU when it comes to believing what you never taught of before. Ours as Christians are the worst.

Take for instance, many Christians believe that Jesus Christ, God the Almighty and the Holy Spirit are three-in-one God. But it almost sounds stupid to another Christian who sees the Holy Spirit as a force and not God himself; who sees Jesus as the Son of God -yes, an Angel (the Chief of the Angels); God as the Almighty God (and Him alone as such). I've seen where a clergy man poured hot water on another christian for an argument on this belief.

I think the right thing is to open your mind and heart to sensibleness or foolishness of whatever opinion or teaching any religion has and tactfully, politely, and reasonably with respect convince this one of your views. We should also know that Christians and Muslims do not have one settlement ground. We use the Bible and they use the Quoran. Have you as a christian for once tried to know what the Quoran says that disapprove of what the say they believe, No! and you want to use the bible to convince him when he does believe that the bible is cooked story book. I have a thread here where a muslim tries to prove to Christians that Jesus in not the almighty God. He alleged that if he were, why would he say he never knew when the end would come and only the fathers knows? If he were, why would he be killed as man? Etc. No instead of Christians who read the same thread respond tactfully, they go on with abuses and tell him they pity him for not knowing the christ. I guess, the Muslim know the Christ the more than that Christian who wears an image and call it Christ when Christ himself forbids Idolatry.

I know that My fellow Christians or People of Christiandom would want to roast me alive but I guess I know the Bible enough to keep their mouth shot.

So Christians lets face this thread with utmost sincerity and not abuse. Lets reason with our brothers and friends Muslims with the aim of teaching and learning from them and not making them sad to leave the thread for us.

Thanks
Christianity EtcRe: Is The United Nations Really Owned By Satan? by ePAYSYSTEM(m): 2:10pm On Jul 13, 2010
We need to know that the UNO is an agent for world peace and security. This is a condition that has eluded man since the deception at Garden of Eden. At Eden too, Satan gave the notion that man would do better if the knowledge of good and bad is allowed him. Satan insinuated that there would be more peace and security if man would rule himself. Those notions have failed for thousands of years of man's rulership of man. No wonder the bible indicated that it does not belong to the man who is walking even to direct his steps.

Logically, United Nations Organization is an institution geared towards achieving world peace and true security with man's effort. At least, in 1986, they declared global year of peace and it failed as well. We also need to know that just few years after its set up there came a world war.

The UNO also has among its weapon of peace, WAR against defaulters and negetive sanctions to make matters worse. The UNO also has as permanent members countries whose record of war and accumulation of Nuclear weapons. These threaten to remove any country that accumulate same outside their network of world powers.

Pls, lets not rusticate this thread but lets reconsider the achievements, progress, methods of management, activities, and political interests of UNO. Also consider the characteristics of the wild beast before you go ahead.

PoliticsWhich Nigerian Past Ruler Would You Vote If Constitution Brings Them All Back? by ePAYSYSTEM(op): 11:09pm On Jul 12, 2010
Believing that anything is possible, lets assume that Goodluck Jonathan goes for a constitution review and he hands of anything contesting and looks at upholding true democracy. The constitution review finally settles for abolition of term of office so that past good rulers could return and use Nigerian resources more wisely. Which past ruler -be him/her (if any her) of the military or Civilian would you earnestly campaign and vote for?
Christianity EtcRe: Did God Know That Adam And Eve Would Sin Before Creating Them? by ePAYSYSTEM(op): 10:55pm On Jul 12, 2010
Friens, I guess I am shot of words. Its likely we are accusing God of what we is not and what he doesnt do. I still wish to know if anyone had ever read any part of the scriptures where God indicated he loves Sins. I wish to see where God declares that he made Satan to tempt people to perfection.

We we are saying here looks like God employed the devil for the outworking of his purposes. Is it really right? Then the devil should have a compensation. If it is also true that God did not originate Sin, how would his masterplan come to work out if there was no way Adam and Eve would sin. I cease to believe that all these bad match God's masterplan.

God's Original Plan is that everything He made having been declared Fine and Good, would stay in a United family of God's creation in Paradise. God's masterplan for the earth include that having been originally made a paradise, would return a paradise and would remain a paradise. For the out working of that plan, Sin would be removed on earth as the wicked would also. The heaven remains for the spiritual sons of God. Know that the Angels including Jesus Christ are servants and messangers. Nevertheless, Jesus was made to be above others as the Chief of the angels. Well, we are not going to that one here because I like the way this thread is going.

Please I want anyone who can to prove that God's masterplan includes playing with sins and righting the wrongs already created.
Christianity EtcRe: Did God Know That Adam And Eve Would Sin Before Creating Them? by ePAYSYSTEM(op): 8:38am On Jul 09, 2010
It sounds some how to call God unquestionable.
The Bible at least has records of people who questioned God and got answers

David, Hezekiah, HABAKKUK, Job, Moses, etc. God even envited the people of isreal for reasoning together.

God is not like man to weilds authority without allowing for discussions.
Christianity EtcRe: Did God Know That Adam And Eve Would Sin Before Creating Them? by ePAYSYSTEM(op): 9:56am On Jul 07, 2010
With due respect to all who have made comments, I wish to know why God will allow a scenario like this

For man to get saved, Jesus had to die. It pained God that His only begothen son would die yet he allowed it because God so love the world. You can imagine what it took God to deliver mankind.
But in another vein, Judas Iscariot was condemned for being a gateway through which God fulfills his will.

So may we know whether God created Judas for that purpose if so why would Jesus call him the son of distruction and say he comes from the devil?

Is it not proper to believe that Judas only used his free moral agency wrongly just as most of us today do? should we hold God responsible for allowing us not to be robots that are controlled by certain written codes?

God has given us the power of choice just as he did the people of isreal by telling them to choose life in order that they may live or death by doing the good or the bad respectively. That is also our case today. If any Isrealite like Achan chose to do wrong he died. So his death was not pre-destined by God

Same way, Adam and Eves sins were never predestined by God who spent the life of his precious son to redeem what was lost. What would God gain making something bad and at the same time losing to make it right? Remember, nothing was at stake if God had not allowed Adam and Eve the choice to live or die. So it was their choice that they sin and not God's

Becomrich0:
You can not allow unelected Judge to make decision in democracy. When George bush/Gore case. American were upset because unelected people had to make the decision.

If a Judge want to take that decision, he should join politics.
To me I dont see the correctness of this statement. I remember in this Forum when some people werew arguing that Akunyili should not become the INEC chair because she has political interest, she was of PDP. The arguement was that the INEC chair should be neutral. Does this same thinking not come to play about this selection? being elected means that this person is also political or atleast evolves from a party.

To me, Judges making the appointment is ideal

PoliticsRe: Would Goodluck Jonathan Win A Free & Fair Election? by ePAYSYSTEM(op): 6:24pm On Jun 08, 2010
We need to know that Nigeria is made up of the elite, the moderately educated, the less educated and ofcause, the non-educated. All these who are 18 and above and are not disenfranchised have both the right and obligation to vote. Now I see a Nigerian where people look at what this guy is able to achieve within a short period of time and what leader of the past achieved within a longer time.

Think about this: rumous and reliable infor can be obtained at the bar where ordinary people go to drink. If we think about the Yoruba or the north not voting or voting Jonathan, in my mind, we are just talking about people like you and I who can analyse politics at Nairaland because we can do so; we are talking about people who can analyse politics on TV, Radio, Papers, wherever. All these because we are either fully educated or belong to the group that know. But what about the great majority who belong to the class we can call never knows? This group make up the largest population and they have the vote. These people would believe on what they see and not mostly what they hear or knew before. this is the group that MUST vote jonathan if allowed to exercise their right under free and fair election. This is the group that believes that the gain they'll make for voting is better life and improved education system for their children. This group has the vote.

So under a free and fair setting, GJ will not only have the majority vote but also have more desciples than enemies so long as the good work flows.

Because of GJ's ambition to become the president, he may continue to be nice. He may as well do everything to please the north and Niger delta would be kept at bay soonest. For me he is a nice man even when he was the VP. I think he may win if he continues with his good work
Christianity EtcRe: Did God Know That Adam And Eve Would Sin Before Creating Them? by ePAYSYSTEM(op): 10:39pm On Jun 06, 2010
To be candid I wonder why God in the Bible would say he regreted to have made man. The Bible also said that it pained God so much that the calamity of man became too much. If God Foreknows what will happen that way, why would he create man (Sodom and Gomorah) only to destroy them after a short period of time? Why would he create some to be thieves and some to appear innocent? why would the same mother born the good, the bad and the urgly and still read the Bible to all of them for a change? Why would there be a need for Jesus to die in the first place?

I feel God would be very wicked for deliberately making Nigeria to be a rubish heap. The meaning is that we ought not do nothing because they are all God's will to be so.

I think the doctrine of God knowing just everything should really be reconsidered.
My position is that God know anything he wishes to know. Most times, he forgoes certain knowledge at a point in time. I guess God hates wickedness, so why should he have created it? Why should he have made the devil in the first place.

There are a million and one questions not God but we need to consider before we conclude that knows or at least cares to knwo everything or not.
PoliticsRe: Would Goodluck Jonathan Win A Free & Fair Election? by ePAYSYSTEM(op): 2:31pm On Jun 05, 2010
If Jonathan becomes more confident of himself, I think there would be a free and fair election. Nigeria has the potential, the power, the manpower, the money, even the atmosphare. The hard times experienced and mischifs are from the top. So if the top allows for a free and fair stuff, there can be that. It can happen only if GJ feel within himself he can beat the odds

I noticed very recently that I jump to my computer end most times as soon as I enter my room. I also noticed I switch on the TV before doing any other thing. Yet I hardly watch Telly. Do people do the same thing as they get home? No! because a friend kisses his wife first and another goes to the wardrobe.

PoliticsIs Nigeria As Rich As We Think? by ePAYSYSTEM(op): 10:19pm On Jun 04, 2010
All of us believe that Nigeria is a rich country. Even the Americans and nationals from other countries take Nigeria of high profile. In malaysia, i paid higher on carb simply because I happened to come from Nigeria. The euphoria is too much.

But in the home front, we are suffering, no jobs, bad education, everything. We also think that most of these failures take place because of curruption. I think I take that stand too. But in another stead, I look the value of our money in the inetrnational scene. Do we really make enough money? Are we really as Rich as we think?

Please do not crucify me if you are agrieved with the leaders. I am not one of them

Lets share this discussion
Thanks!
