This mumu op is saying MTN hasn't cheated on us whereas they do it on a daily. For every fine from NCC, MTN takes it out of their customers.
Call and data tariffs are shifted, unexplainable deductions are made and they lie to you that you subscribed for a package and they don't make refunds like Etisalat or Glo. They're in competition, nobody is forcing u to remain with their network either |

Otherwise, you're an I.d.I.o.t I'll be disappointed if NCC backpedal on this. It means our rules are useless. The banks fined by CBN have paid and moved on, let mtn pay and move on. |

CIA12345: I am very grateful that this get to Niaraland. First Bank is not a bank to entrust your money or anything with because there customer care is the world worst. I am living in US and my Master card expired and contacted FirstContact for renewer of my card. The issue of the card is on now for more than eight month. Bros please close the account from First Bank they are useless. I just don't want to name the people I contact here on Nairaland for security reason if not i would have put their names and email here for the world to see how useless they are. I will copy this link to the next email I will send to them to see how their life turn to. They are not suppose to be called First Bank their name should be Last Bank. I don't know your issue with them, but u deserved to be treated the way they're treating you. You're advising the guy to close his account, why not close yours? So because your bank- last bank have not renewed your card for 8months, someone else with a separate issue should close his account, who forbids you from closing yours?? Card name:AKINOLA GBENGA Card Pan:5399 2320 5893 0170 Expiry date: 12/17
In all fairness, this data is sufficient to shop in over 1000 stores on the internet.
@OP, no insult intended, you're too dumb to use the technology. Cc@ ga040
@Moderator, please delete or mask out these details on all posts.

Business › Re: My First Bank Mastercard Was Hacked In The USA by erekoshe: 6:56pm On Oct 22, 2015 |
bigtt76: Most times the fault is from the card holders. For example
1. OP instead of posting the first 6 and last 4 digits of card rather decided to bloat out the last 4 digits alone forgetting that it would be easier for some cyber rogue to figure that out. Mind you most Nigerian banks thesedays replicate the PAN on card expiration and only updates the expiration dates.
2. OP's laptop has numerous pirated stuff or has visited pirate sites in the past in search of free movie downloads. Those movie sites though free are costly in the aftermath.
Let me give you an example here, you go eat in a restaurant somewhere in Europe or America, you make payment with your card for $50 but it was never deducted from your account as expected even for months.
Then all of a sudden you started getting alerts on your account more this later despite having not used the card in recent times and still the $50 payment had not reflected.
What has happened here is that your card details was harvested for its value and not for payment of services rendered.
Same thing happens when you download the latest movies from those sites, keyloggers are installed on your browser to store your card details and send to the movie site owners for future use whenever you go online shopping.
3. Not discounting our local banks staff though. Recently I got a call from my bank from a staff I never knew telling me I need to update my account details. An account I've done my BVN linkage.
Staff said my account was being upgraded and I need to fill out a form else I can't access my funds.
I tried as much as I could to get to the nearest bank branch and did as directed but staff still insisted I fill out an account opening form.
I crase for am dat day after I discovered my funds were being moved to a suspense account and back again. He let me be and there's been peace since then.
Staff wanted to use my funds to meet his target I guess and tried getting me open a fresh account.
It is staff like this that clone people's cards or create cards for accounts without one. Always have a number tied to the account for alerts.
4. Using your EMV chip based cards in the US or elsewhere is not safe. In fact Nigeria's card based infrastructure is more upto date compared to the US and others still using Magstripe technology.
Reason being that it's too expensive for them to carry out the much needed infrastructral changes to migrate the cards.
Therefore it's easier for some bar attendants to clone your cards for other use. From your number 3, I doubt you've not fallen for phishing attacks.. |

No insurance on that ATM account and that is a shame. How in the whole wide world would you opt for something like that without having insurance company to back it up. You are to blame for not asking when processing it not first bank, a useless institution that is very vulnerable in their primitive banking system. Laredojohn: ITS DONE BY IT PEOPLE IN THE BANKS, THEY HACK INTO CUSTOMERS CARD DETAILS, AND SEND TO THEIR CO FRAUDSTERS OUTSIDE NIGERIA WHO USE IT FOR PURCHASES IN STORES AND ONLINE WITH A CLONED CARD Ignorance is a disease. See how you're typing rubbish with confidence. There are several possible scenarios, how are you sure this is the valid scenario in this case. Don't expose your ignorance in public. Always have the full details before you conclude. People like you implicate innocent people based on a story you once heard. The OP was in the US, he could have used a vulnerable POS, he could have used his card on vulnerable or hacked online stores, someone in Nigeria could have leaked his details.. In conclusion, don't conclude anything until you have full information. If you continue at this pace, you'll get into trouble for something you have no clue about |
