Anyone with the statistics of number of court cases EFCC has? |
Has Farida Waziri really achieved much in bringing corrupt public officers to face justice? so many cases in court and so many arrests and detension but how many are in jail or convicted? looting is becoming a culture in public offices because our public officers know that they will only be harassed for a while and thereafter the case will be forgotten and they will enjoy their loot and even ocuppy new political offices and obtain chieftancy titles and numerous awards thereafter. During the tenure of Ribadu, so many impossibles were achieved i.e conviction of Tafa Balogun and Mr Alamiesegha and many others but now we only hear of increasing number of arrests, harrasements, cases in courts for years without end and eventual evasion of justice. James Ibori and Lucky Igbinedion,Ayo Fayose, Femi Fani-kayode,Babalola(ex-Aviation minister), Joshua Dariye(now a senator) are at large not brought to book. I am fast loosing faith in the effectiveness and efficiency of EFCC. |
4everGod:Well my Brother. If you asked an average Nigerian why the voted for GEJ,is either you hear 'I dont want to waste my vote' or 'Im voting Jonathan not PDP' or 'He will bring Goodluck' without any clear reason, just sentiments.Very ridiculous! Anyway, congratulation Mr Jonathan and I wish Nigerians Goodluck. |
gamesb: calaway:@Gamesb and Calaway, Your OBJ the owner of PDP and discoverer of GEJ is also guilty of all these allegations and where was he then to come to our rescue against Abacha and if he believed so much in GEJ why did he chose Yaradua as president and GEJ as VP and not vice versa. All the people you counted as oppressed during Buhari regime, what was there role in the 2nd republic? recall there was massive looting of Nigeria treasury at this time and all these people you mentioned were at the helms of affair and most were irresponsible and wasteful. They created most of the problems we have today. Now you mentined names of people who were punished, but can you remember names of people who were killed, maimed and destroyed because of 1983 election because of the sins of these people? Any sane govt that came into power after the 1983 turmoil would have done what Buhari did. Jerry Rawlings of Ghana killed all corrupt leaders in his country and he was applauded for it and today Ghana is a better country for it. I have heard people say Buhari wanted to islamise Nigeria. What is the proof? just hearsay and rumour. There is no point bringing out specs from someones eye when there is log in yours GEJ/PDP eyes. They have tried and failed lets try a new group for a change. |
It is so ridiculous the kind of comments being made here about this great man. For those who were still using Pamper or not yet born when this man rose to the occassion in 1983 when our nation was on the verge of total collapse they might not understand the huge service he has rendered to this country. 1.He is one man who fought corruption and corrupt leaders to sanitise our country and building a foundation for generations to come 2.This is one man who has held many public offices and came out clean without looting and he challenged anyone to come out and proof him otherwise when he said he has never stolen public money(remember he was petroleum minister and PTF chairman without an oil block or even a filling station today. How many has passed thru without amassing wealth?) 3.He is the only former president without a house in Abuja even the one who spent just 3 month has. Even if you think he does not deserve your vote, please appreciate the fact that he is selfless(how many is?) and has lived by example to the youth of this country. Dont call his tears crocodile tears, he is only weeping for the future of this generation because what an old man can see sitting, a young man cannot see even standing. I weep too for us if all we want to celebrate is mediocrity and incompetence by letting another 4 years of this generation to be wasted. |

Seun, I will suggest again you make NL able to accept profile Pictures. I have suggested this before but have not seen any action. You have pioneered a noble course please make it bigger. Other Forums have this.More grease to your power! |
I think its high time we are able to put our profile pictures here just like facebook and other forums. This forum has come of age to accommodate that. It will improve our interactions and reduce this incidence of fraud on NL and chatting with faceless people. Fellow NL what do you think? |

People patronise this site to buy and sell cars and the success in sales depends largely on the price and quality of the cars put up for sale. I bought my car from this forum, sold my previous car and my Brother's car within the span of 1 month without any stress and without even advertising on other car sales website or putting for sale on the car where they were packed. I was surprised on the volume of calls that usually come in to price each of the cars I put up for sale. Be sure the buyers know what they want and when authenticity fails buyers will run. If you cant sell it here, believe me it will be a hard to sell anywhere. Nairaland is a Blessing! jidex89200:Unless someone does not have anything to sell in the first place. Why would somebody deceive himself? |
