Congratulations.

Please, can u kindly share timeline.

Thanks
Hi, and @ tblaze007, application submitted for myself and staff who is my company's tech unit head mid November.

Same docs were submitted for both applications except a few, which pointed directly to him. My application was approved a couple of months back, while his own was still waiting in line, until this morning.
I had an expired and valid US visa already while my technician had nothing, maybe a reason his application went through the normal processing time.
He has never been to NA countries before but has been to EU for training twice in the past.

I did not enroll for biometric because mine is still valid while he did.

Documents submitted

Copies of his past training certificates
His marriage certificate
Employment letter
A copy of his job ID
A letter stating the importance of the training and benefits to our company and the sector that we serve
A Letter of promotion as the head of tech. unit with the new roles clearly defined
The company bank statement( which covered both of us cos my company was the sponsor)
The invitation letter from our business partner for the training
God factor, ultimately
That's all.

cry how far people are willing to go just to leave this country
Their leaders they supported between 2015 and 2023 have failed them.

Whenever people are blaming buhari, I simply smh for them. There's only one person who had ruined the Nigerian economy from 2015 till now. That person is none other than tinubu. He was the one campaigning for buhari in 2015 wholile the latter would only be shaking broom at the end of each campaign. He was doing so just to actualize his lifetime ambition. He knew he'd not be tolerated in the north during his time he now used a muslim-muslim ticket bait to catch them.

Nigeria is such a wonderful country who are enmeshed in tribalism and bigotry of sort. Had tinubu not campaigned for Buhari and flown him upandan in his private jet that he bought with our money in lagos, spreading propaganda here and there, how would buhari have neared power? Same man asked buhari to print more money grin

We will be wise someday. Imagine some blind people calling me fake by not supporting scam? I'm not surprised though. They called OBJ and Pa Bode George names too. Now our foreign reserves have gone down. They spent a huge sum, rescuing the naira, what they accused buhari, same man from same party of. We are so gullible in Nigeria. We're not ready for a real change yet.

Good morning everyone. Please if you submitted your application last November or earlier and you've not heard from the IRCC till now, kindly send them a mail, asking for your application's update. My technician who will be travelling with me for a training just received his PPR this morning. I wish all those waiting best of luck and divine favour in the sight of VOs handling their apps.

By the way,DIY is the best way. I've read a moniker's message, which looks like a scam to me. I needn't respond because some peeps have done that already. STOP PATRONISING AGENTS!!!

Only fools believe that naira is stabilising without A dip in the foreign reserve. Same thing Emefiele did, that they are crucifying him for.

Government of deception.
Don't mind the jaujau man called Tinubu. He knows nothing about governance, only propaganda. He was the same man who brought us here . He was the one campaigning for Buhari in 2015, carrying him upandan in his private jet.

All what Buhari was busy doing then was shaking the broom after each campaign programme. It was tinubu who wrecked the Nigerian Economy not buhari. He was the one who deceived Nigerians and painted Buhari white. He got to office and set nigeria backward by 40 years. Last night I heard on channels tv that Nigeria breweries wanted to shut down 2 of their facilities meaning more people will be thrown out of jobs. The minister of trade corroborated it. Sadly, only in Nigeria are all these happening. Multinationals are leaving in droves for Ghana, Ethiopia, Botswana and Kenya.

Now the propaganda continues. Nigeria no wise at all. They will be wise someday.

Foreign reserve is going down deeply. We all know why naira is depreciating now.
The next move is for the government to borrow billions of dollars to defend naira. This method cannot sustain for long. CBN has given out 2 billion dollars in less than two months to banks and BDCs to defend naira. This is sad.
Tunubu simply did what he once accused Buhari and emefiele of( rescuing the naira with dollar). See how super clueless he is? As clueless as those supporting him.

The lie and propaganda government is simply subsidising the dollar just as they are doing with the fraudulent fuel subsidy case. This is because the price of goods and services are not on a commensurate downward trend as the dollar is allegedly doing. This is why Reno Omokri propaganda of recent is only focused on this issue.
I just wonder why Tinubu's blind supporters keep praising him for the crashing of the dollars. Who caused the same dollars to rise in value against the naira if not same tinubu? He met it at 702 and now they're praising him for the naira rescue, the measure he castigated buhari for( saying it doesn't make sense rescuing the naira with tje dollar).

Expect more propaganda while his 4-year tenure lasts. Are you aware that 2 facilities of the Nigeria breweries will be shut down this week due to Tinubu's poor policies? More job losses are inevitable.

Nigeria is the only country where the multinationals are leaving in droves. It doesn't happen in other African countries, check it. Guess where they're leaving for...Ethiopia, Ghana, North Africa and Kenya.

It’s the same thing we are all talking about. You choose not to reduce ur price after the crash of the dollar because according to you, products you produced when the dollar was high is yet to be exhausted but you can increase the price of your commodity the minute the dollar increase even when it’s clear the products you produced when the dollar was still low hasn’t been totally consumed. That’s an opportunistic behavior and Nigerians are master opportunists
Some do this truly , which is a very bad practice. They are enemies of state. But if such prices were increased due to high cost of living, like increase in the pump price which will automatically affect logistics and running cost, it is understandable . But when prices of petroleum products drop, commodity prices too should drop.

OGA why is these narrative always one way ... it is when dollar drop producers will tell us they have stock that will last 3month to finish

But if dollar Rise today .... same producers won't wait 48hrs to hike price, why can't they also wait to exhaust Old stock before jumping on New stock price cheesy

Even as we speak should dollar jump to 1500 tomorrow , traders/producers will inflate price again .. all that we bought when dollar was 1900 everyone is claiming will be swept under the carpet
Are you aware the price of a bag of rice has dropped? Do you know why? It's because most of the rice we eat are imported. Imported goods will witness immediate reduction in prices because they are not produced locally. You cannot stock rice for too long. A shipload of rice cant be enough to feed lagos alone in a month so, you expect prices of such commodities to drop immediately as more shiploads of rice are being discharged.

Noodles for instance are being produced locally, pasta, too. They import the materials and keep in silos which could last 3-6 months. until they exhaust them and order to replenish, dollar crashes will not affect price per unit. gradually, if the trend improves, the economy will improve.

So the Law of Gravity dey fear and abandon the prices of goods and services for Nigeria ??
Can you produce at the rate of 1,700 to a dollar and sell below production cost just because dollar has crashed to 1000 or below?. Remember production is continuous in the manufacturing sector. If they bought raw materials at 1,700 to a dollar and set the cost of their final product at 2,000 for instance, and they have loads of that raw materials in their warehouses, they must first exhaust those ones before producing with fresh ones bought at reduced imported costs.

Before the naira's strength could have some positive impacts, we will enter june or july.

Most of the time, the offices or locations where applications are processed are different from the offices or locations where visas are issued.

If you check the IRCC website, it is stated there that "visitor visa applications from Nigeria are processed in Nairobi." This doesn't mean that the visa will be issued in Nairobi. As a matter of fact, most visas processed for Nigerian applicants in Nairobi are issued in Lagos or Abuja.

The processing office for visitor visa applications for Nigerian applicants is the IRCC Nairobi office, but the visas are mostly issued at the Lagor or Abuja IRCC offices, and some are issued outside Nigeria.

My nephew's visa was processed in Nairobi last year, but on the visa vigilante, it shows that the visa was issued at IRCC Bamako office. He doesn’t even notice this until recently.

Anyway, the processing location, or where the visa is issued, is irrelevant to applicants. What an applicant cares about is the positive results—that his or her visa has been approved and issued.

Let IRCC issues the visa. No one care about the location or locations where the visas are processed or issued.

Noted. I really do not care where visa is approved or issued too. I only wonder why locations are always different, instead of Nigeria's office only. The Bamako that you also mentioned in your comment suggests to me that the list of IRCC's offices handling Nigerian visa applications may be endless. I remember accra too in 2016 when my cousin was going to study in Canada.

Anyway, they understand better.

Imagine. Each time they say they do not want a state policing system, that the politicians will use them to attack their enemies. I keep asking those critics, why has the federal police been used to cause electoral violence and to snatch ballot boxes openly all the time? What about the EFCC being deployed to arrest and harass their perceived opponents? If the federal security agencies could be so used and abused, saying state police will be abused does not make sense. Those kicking against it have an ulterior motive.

May God help us in this nation. The way things are going, it's really scary.
We the masses have a great role to play. We're the ones joining hands with the elite to corrupt the nation in the name of tribalism 99% of the time. One woman, a member of a leading pentecostal Church whose husband is a pastor of that denomination once told me that, omo ęni ko le shedi bębęrę, ka wa lo filękę sidi omo elomiran, which literally means, your daughter can't have a big butt and you'd would now wear bids on the butt of another woman's daughter.

Mid March, she lost her job as a senior manager in a leading manufacturing company cos the company was running at a loss. The goods produced and kept in their various warehouses couldn't be sold. That's how far tribalism could go in marring one's career and life. Sadly, every tribe is guilty of this. There's no love for Nigeria as a country. Its been wired to be a chop make I chop system. But you and I can change this scenario someday. We always like running to the western world, who will vote a black man or Indian into key positions on merit but back home, its the other way round. Everybody faces wherever belle goes.

Some psychophants in our midst aren't helping the situation. It begins with all of us. Someone is in his mid 80s but lied to you that he's just 72 years old despite the obvious all over him and you still went ahead and voted him despite his lies, all in the name of tribalism. These men don't give a hoot, even if people are dying. They'd only send condolences where necessary and more on. Their family members and associates are made for life. Its the masses that will always suffer the consequences of their wilful bad choices .

A guy working for a leading indigenous logistics company as a driver took his wife to a general hospital here a few weeks ago. They told him they'd carry out a C/S on her wife. He had nothing. The general hospital could not do it so they referred her to lasuth. He phoned the ward Councillor, called the LG chairman, none to help. The chairman who would pick his call at first dial during election ignored his call. He mobilised a lot of his men for election last year, as if he'd be given an appointment. Eventually, he had to sell his land at Atan-Ota to enable him pay for the C/S. Imagine a general hospital saying they don't have equipment to conduct the surgery and billions go into that sector yearly? But they can fly abroad to give birth with tax payer's money. The real change begins with you and I.

I wrote a letter of reconsideration first. After waiting for about a month without feedback, I submitted a fresh application.
I understand you. But in your case, a decision was made based on your new application, not based on the one that was refused. That makes the scenario a different one from what the moniker had said above (you filled a new form, paid a new fee, etc) . Had your refusal of same application been reversed after the said letter was sent to IRCC and you got approved, then it would have been same scenario.

A letter of recommendation, or appeal, is not new. I tried in 2012, but I got a negative response.

In 2012, me and three of my colleagues at work applied for a conference, and we all used the same documents (company documents, including bank statements). Only one person out of the four was approved.

A month after the refusal, the remaining three of us wrote a "letter of reconsideration" to the embassy to see if they would reverse their decision.

I wrote the letter of reconsideration, and I also submitted a fresh visa application to attend a conference that was scheduled for 2013.

Out of the three applicants who submitted the reconsideration letters, only one of us got a positive response.

But my new visa application was approved about two months after I got a negative response in regards to the letter of reconsideration I submitted.

I see. But yours was quite different. It's not same scenario.

You wrote a letter of reconsideration with a fresh application but in the moniker's mum's case, the letter was written after the visa application had been refused or rejected and a few days later, the rejection was reversed and same application was approved. I've never heard of, or seen this before. New things happen everyday which people can learn from.
Another case, though different from this, which I've never heard of before was the lady whose case I once shared here at the US embassy. Her bank statement was showing a an amount lower than the requested figure. Ordinarily, its supposed to be an automatic refusal. Imagine the VO asking if she could present another bank statement with the amount requested as a requirement for a student and she said yes. The VO placed her on admin processing while she ran up and down to make up the money. I'd have found it difficult to believe . It was my account statement she presented. Those were very rare scenarios.

Approved April 11 2024

I see. Normally, you should have reached them first and booked an appointment for this purpose.

The consideration letter after refusal is quite new to me and I hope people are reading this. That's why applicants should share their experience. It could be of immense help to others.

What looked similar was a consideration letter written by a moniker in 2016 when I applied for my TRV and was waiting for a decision. She's a medical doctor who needed to go for a medical conference. she was to speak in that program as well. She had never been to any country before then. She said she wrote a consideration letter and submitted as part of her application and her visa was even approved ahead of others who were regular travellers. The IRCC invited her when she came back for a chat in their lagos office, during which they asked how did the conference go and they were touched by her letter so they considered her.

Please take along what oluayebenz had stated in his response to you anytime vfs contacts you. Take care.
