Opay and Moniepoint account holders cannot be traded or tracked easily when they use their accounts to defraud people; it's easier for them to disappear than those using traditional banks and that's why most big companies and serious business owners don't accept to use Opay or Moniepoint for big business transactions cos you are at the mercy of the account holder who can disappear easily without trace should things go wrong.

do u want me to point out how many times conventional banks have also failed to handle scam cases involving clients account? I have heard numerous cases of how these conventional banks turn around and push the blame on their clients without doing anything, I have even heard cases involving internal collaborators in the banks.

I never said Moniepoint is a scam bank, nope nope. I said Moniepoint seems to be the choice bank for most Nigerian internet scammers and fraudsters, and maybe because of their poor KYC process and because they do not operate physical branches where customers walk in daily to rectify account issues and lay complaints of fraud.


I am speaking from experience and from the experience of some people I know. Even my company lawyer, a Yoruba man told me that Moniepoint, Opay and Palmpay account for most court cases in Magistrate courts in Lagos especially. Moniepoint management need to do something about this issue.


Scammers are taking advantage of some lapses they have in their system and also probably compromising their system through some corrupt employees handling some critical banking roles at their head office.
