Hello Everyone, When we launched Igbemo Ekiti Plantain and Banana Village project https://www.nairaland.com/3381332/invest-ekiti-state-plantain-village we know that for farming ventures to be profitable and sustainable there must be consistent market (off takers) to absorb the produce, it's true that in agricultural value chain, value addition is the most profitable and ensures sustenance of the chain. Oil boom was able to spell doom on cocoa production because there were no indigenous cocoa processing companies in the country then, Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire overtook Nigeria in cocoa production because they have indigenous companies producing international standard products locally creating market for cocoa apart from exporting raw produce. Looking at plantain and banana industry in Nigeria today, with its huge potential and Nigeria being one of the highest producers in Africa, are we at par with international standard in terms of adding value to the crop and tapping its potential to the fullest?. |

No party has brought disunity to Nigeria like APC, imagine Ondo and Osun state in the same region ruled by the same party seeing themselves as enemies because their leaders are fighting selfish interest, from destruction of town all meeting on restructuring at Akure to football war in Ijebu ode simply because Aregbesola supported Olusola Oke of AD against Akeredolu in the last Ondo gubernatorial election, Yaa Allah, if APC is a punishment to our sins pls forgive us before 2019. |

Reducing post harvest wastage of plantain and banana starts at point of harvest, raise your hand above your head and prevent the bunch from direct contact with ground rather hold the bunch and cut.

Can you imagine, they want sympathy which they don't have when they were desperately looking for power. Has this hypocrite forgotten what his principal said about Yar adua during his sickness?, is this the new Nigeria they promised us?, what pains me most is that Nigerians vent their anger behind key board, if we have being stoning these people maybe we could have thrown them some brains, instead of you to apologize to Nigerians, encourage us and give us hope as par the return of Mr president, you are spewing rubbish. |
