We need to restart this nation anyhow, even if it involves shutting it down. If you don't earn by crook you will support a total overhaul of the country.
PoliticsRe: Why Governor Akeredolu Is Working From Ibadan – Ondo Government by Erukulele(m): 1:13pm On Oct 18, 2023
He has lived there for six good years no hassle now that he is sick he can't live there again, I guess Ondo state government want to include hospital in the new residence, sometimes these aides don't think deep before they say gibberish. The man is sick but power drunk not ready to reliquinsh power while his aides think their job is at stake if he is not active hence they brought him back abruptly.

I agree with him that when your hustle is legit you won't allow anyone to extort you of your hard earned money. What will make a young man start panting or running on citing security agents?. I have seen young people challenging officers of stepping on their rights with confidence, come clean and your voice will be heard.

PoliticsRe: President Kagame Attends Nigerian Governors' Leadership Retreat In Kigali by Erukulele(m): 10:19am On Aug 28, 2023
Our leaders are shameless, despite the fact that governors over the years have contributed more than fifty percent of the challenges we face as a nation in the past twenty four years, what is stopping them from organizing such retreat with any international organization in Nigeria and allow Nigerians contribute and speak on the way forward for our dear nation rather than going to a smaller country to mock themselves, all those discussions, retreat and panels will be left there for them to come back and continue their back and forth. I am looking forward to see province premiers from South Africa being tutored on good governance in Nigeria. We are in crisis we need all hands on deck here.
PoliticsRe: Shettima Represents Tinubu At BRICS Summit In South Africa (Photos) by Erukulele(m): 7:25pm On Aug 24, 2023
What exactly is he doing there?, We are not a member now new membership has been extended Nigeria is not included. We need to work most on our local economy than gate crashing events around the world.

Have you seen boko haram rag tag commanders…?

And yet they give the generals you posted a hard time defeating them!
Boko Haram is fighting a guerilla war in which some areas are targeted and attack, let them come for a confrontational war and see shege. Nigeria army is gallant and good.
PoliticsRe: Petrol Price May Jump To ₦‎750 Per Litre — IPMAN by Erukulele(m): 2:47pm On Aug 11, 2023
Tinubu led the protest in 2012 when President Jonathan wanted to quit subsidy saying palliatives must be made available for citizens before removal fast forwarded to 11years after same Tinubu removed subsidy on his first day as president without palliatives or even proper plan going forward. Honestly I am optimistic but I doubt this nation can go far under these pretenders.
PoliticsRe: "All Eyes On The Judiciary" Billboard Erected In Abuja - Photos by Erukulele(m): 2:33pm On Aug 11, 2023
I don't still get why it all looking like Obi will be given the mandate in court because Atiku came second, can he be jumped?. In case of a rerun let's assume Tinubu is disqualified, which is highly impossible anyway, can Obi win Atiku in a keenly contested Election in Nigeria?. The puzzle am trying to solve is why Obidients believe the judgement will favor them than Atikulates.
PoliticsRe: Niger: Be Careful, Don't Start What You Cannot Finish - Bode George To Tinubu by Erukulele(m): 6:44am On Aug 05, 2023
It's only in Nigeria that a president will rule like Buhari and spent 8years, if the Nigeriens says they are comfortable with military govt it shouldn't be our problem.

It isn't working for us.

The system as designed isn't working for us. Lawmakers are supposed to...you know..."check and balance" the executive. But it isn't working. Our institutions are very weak or don't exist at all.

You wrote about unserious leadership. I think the real problem is with unserious followership - a followership that has delinked the quality of life from electoral choice. This separation of actions (and choices) from consequences is why we are where we are today. But we are not likely to change anytime soon.

The beatings and suffering will continue until morale improves.
I agree with you that leaders are reflection of their followers because they are from the society but overtime in our dear country I have realized that the wish of the majority populace is usually subverted by the few elites, the most challenging aspect is some of the masses who lose the voice when they got little gratification from the oppressors, they even sing their praises saying people agitating for the right things to be done are unnecessarily overzealous. Yes, the way democracy is run in Nigeria it will never work for us. The nation is facing a difficult time, the leaders are telling the masses to endure and adjust till succour comes but they are not ready to endure or adjust anything but live the extravagant life, the long convoys, contract inflation, jumbo pay etc that we have known them with. The Nigeria of our dream is a very long journey that we have not even anticipated how to get there but wandering about like Israelites did.

And state governors keep getting legislative approval for these projects. Yet more proof of the hollow shell of our so called democracy.

An online search should be able to yield the feasibility study for this sort of project and the Ebonyi one. So far, nothing.
They will always get legislative approval because most legislative chambers in our country are rubber stamp, even if feasibility study says otherwise they will go for it because they are not after the economic value of such project but how much their kickback will be. Come to think of it, if our leaders are serious, how much does it even cost to industrialize compare to wastage on irrelevant projects.
TravelRe: Ebonyi Airport: Two Months Gone, No Airline Has Landed There: Pictures by Erukulele(m): 9:12pm On Jul 27, 2023
That was how Fayemi, his counterpart in Ekiti wasted billions of naira on cargo airport that up till date nothing has happened there. Stupidity is when you are destroying farmlands, wrecking havoc to farmers who spent years to establish their plantations ( cocoa, palm trees, plantains, etc) to establish an airport you know is a white elephant project promising people that farm produce you're destroying will be exported. They will leave immediate need to be wasting resources on what is not needed now.
