Jonathan's Sun Sets In The East - By Erasmus Ikhide President Jonathan on New Year's Day Service President Goodluck Jonathan has missed being the sun of the nation's life and that of the pit of degradation, called the Niger Delta. Everlasting night has settled upon Nigeria, spurred by moral bankruptcy and the clueless chaos of his governance. There is nothing his administration has done that inspires hope in the people within the last six years.Nigerians have grown accustom to the deafening cacophonies of missing billions in the oil sector and the NNPC accounts, pension fund looting, oil bunkering, abandoned projects, devaluation of the nation's currency, spilling of innocent blood by the nihilist Boko haram militias etc. Most of all, mega-corruption and the government's inability to tame the bloodcurdling insurgents Boko Haram has been President Jonathan's undoing. He could not use his "Omnipotent Government" to suppress the vices because he is a beneficiary of the self-inflicted crises. President Jonathan's government has been a major source of mischief and disaster ever witnessed in Nigeria. Granted that the worst evils which mankind ever had to endure were inflicted by governments in human history, but there come a time the people strive for change, and the time is now. The above statement was echoed - not exactly the same - by no less a personage than the fierce and fire spitting Catholic Priest Rev. Ejike Mbaka. The iron cast Priest obviously ventilated Ludwig Von Mises, the Austrian School economist, sociologist, and classical liberal who became prominent for his work in praxeology, a deductive study of human choice and action. "There is no more dangerous menace to civilisation than a government of incompetent, corrupt, or vile men", Von said. Rev. Mbaka hits the bull's eye when he told President Jonathan the stark truth he hates to hear: "What is the fate of our children? Tears fill my eyes when I see our young graduates hoping and walking our streets. What is the meaning of kidnapping? Kidnapping is the grandson of unemployment. Boko Haram is a great grand child of the same unemployment, mass looting, and poor governance". "President Jonathan cannot lead Nigeria. As things stand right now, from the oracle of the Holy Spirit, Jonathan should honourably resign quietly and let Nigeria be. The destiny of Nigeria is greater than Goodluck Jonathan. The Goodluck in Jonathan has become a bad luck to Nigerians. Whatever brought him in should send him back and let Nigeria be. By this time in few months to come, many are going to lose their jobs and there is no alternative" "During election, Jonathan will answer Azikiwe, Ebele and become an Igbo man and after election, the Ebele, the Azikiwe and Goodluck will vanish from his identity. Who is fooling who actually? Look at our federal roads, we are not even asking for new ones, roads built by Buhari and Babangidas — the so called Hausa people— cannot be maintained. Follow Enugu here to Onitsha, children born some years ago do not know that there was a lane along the other side of Isiagwu and we are all saying continue. The continuity of Jonathan means disaster to Nigeria". "When there is no road, no power, all this fake promises… where is the power? That Onitsha Bridge, has it now been built? No. After 6 years, and Goodluck has what it takes to do whatever. He surrounded himself with hooligans. By the time he comes down, he won’t have anybody to work with. He played himself into the hands of hooligans. My interest is about the wellness of this country. Nigeria must survive. What we are passing through is by the help of God. The same God who saved us from Ebola will save us from this bad luck season (shouts of AMEN from the congregation)". "Look at it, there was a time there was an argument about pension fund – such billions. Who is talking about it now? Billions and we were hearing it… from excess crude oil money, where is the impact of the excess crude oil money? Now from oil boom, it has met a bad luck; it’s now oil doom. If my father will be my leader and my siblings will all die, let a stranger be my leader and let my family be", Rev. Mbaka said. I quoted the Catholic Priest at great length because of his religious standing, his following, his geopolitical firmament and the ethno-religious sentiments that have dampened Nigeria political growth. Political leaders who failed to fulfil electoral promises to the electorate deliberately appeal or exploit ethnocentric and religious sentiments of their selfish gains in sections of the country. No Nigerian leader has gained popularity through divisive politicking, ethno-religious grandstanding than President Goodluck Jonathan. Then what is government if it is not to promote human happiness and welfare? All the blemishes plaguing this administration came as a result of the parasitic sycophants who give the president a halo of false glory and are Hell bent on feasting dangerously on the nation's easy oil wealth. The reason, lamentably, is that Mr Jonathan didn't attain ideological maturation before he found himself in the corridors of power. He is being goaded on by dint of virtual Providence and veritable Luck. Minds more developed and ideologically balanced have proved that one of the greatest bequests to modern civilisation and governance is not entirely humility, but a great deal of granite hardness, as the need arises to trample on closest friends who stand in the way of the masses. With one stroke of abhorrence for corruption, President Jonathan could have transformed Nigeria. In President Jonathan's administration, Nigerians have lost one of the nation's supposed great educationist whose products we have not yet found in our time their fullest use, to corruption! He missed the chance to wear the cap described in Mein Kampf, The Struggle Of My Life: "From millions of men, one man must step forward who with apodictic force will form granite principles from the wavering idea-world of the broad masses and take up the struggle for their sole correctness, until the shifting waves of a free thought-world there will arise a brazen cliff of solid unity in faith and will". World-historical men - the Heroes of an epoch - must therefore be recognised as its clear-sighted ones, their deeds, their worlds are the best of their time. You can now gauge why President Goodluck Jonathan government is besotted by treachery, overwhelmed by violence visited on it by the Boko Haram, drown in blood and will go up in flames in an orgy of self-willed annihilation which will answer some terrible longing question in the minds of Nigeria. The President who ought to be a man of staggering political genius, an incredible reformer by the reason of his education and experience has yielded to crass opportunism and mega-corruption. How Mr President fell madly in love with corruption and brought himself firmly in touch with mediocrity is out of touch with the taunted story of his humble background and the shoeless narrative. It is either that corruption was imprinted on his receptive mind or his sensitive soul veers relentless to his earlier shoeless state. Which ever way, President Jonathan's sun has set at midnight in the Eastern part of Nigeria, at the Adoration Ground, where he holds a portion of the nation to a grand illusion of oneness and slavish governance. 2015 Elections: Papa Adeboye's Top Man, Pastor Kalejaiye, Drops Bombshell In his most recent column for Saturday Sun titled Press Clips, veteran Nigerian journalist Mike Awoyinfa chronicled Redeemed Pastor J.T. Kalejaiye’s explosive sermon last Sunday in which he appeared to be canvassing support for the APC Buhari-Osinbajo ticket come February 2015. In his message, Pastor Adeboye’s close confidant and touted to be among the favourites to one day take over Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG) predicted ‘there would be a pleasant surprise in 2015 elections’, telling congregants to ‘go and mark it’. Sounding angry with the way Nigeria is going, Pastor Kalejaiye, regional evangelist of RCCG fumed: “Of what use is my brother, my blood brother who is not going to move the nation forward? And you want me to vote for him because he is my brother? Don’t let us deceive ourselves.” “What are we saying? Let’s call a spade a spade, brethren.Things cannot continue this way. Corruption is the order of the day. You can steal and nothing will follow. That’s all… Brethren, if you don’t do something, something will do you. Wake up!” He continued, “We have to change our system… Who is a Christian? Who is a Muslim? When I was working somewhere, my boss was a Muslim. I enjoyed under him. My boss provoked me to study further. My boss was always after my welfare. It shall be well him wherever he is today. He is a Muslim. The soldier attached to me was with me for almost 15 years. I never knew he was a Muslim. The day he opened his mouth to say “Sir, I am Muslim,” I said “What? But you follow me to the camp. You do this, you do that.” He said that when it was time to pray he would pray. “Brethren, wake up! Who is a Christian? That somebody goes to church doesn’t make him a Christian. That somebody bears Christian name doesn’t make him a Christian. You are a Christian yet there is no employment for our youths. People who should be feeding their parents are still being fed by their parents. How many youths can get married today without the support of their parents financially? During our own time, we did our wedding, we only called our parents to come and eat. Today, our children who are 35, we are still feeding them." It looks like the message of CHANGE is really spreading fast!

WE NEED A CHANGE A MUST READ BY EVERYONE Nigeria is really getting interesting.. Fellow compatriots, we need not shout nor fight ourselves. President Goodluck Johnathan is a good man as a person, his simplicity and gentlemanness is second to none. *He has given us his very BEST over the last 6 years. I mean, what else are we asking for? *He has granted Alameisiya 'STATE PARDON' and my guy is now running for Senate. *He allowed Fayoose to distrupt a court session and beat up a judge, while he walks freely. I wonder if Nigeria is sane. *He locked up the house of rep from the entrance of the CONSTITUTIONAL speaker of that house. *7 law makers impeached a speaker in Ekiti in a house of about 26 men, and nothing happened. *16 was suddenly greater than 19 in base 10, just to cancel the one-term agreement he signed with the NIGERIA Governors' Forum and all Nigerians in 2011. *Subsidy has been removed and the standards in our hospitals have reduced with time. *$20 billion is missing and minister of Petroleum eats and dines with the prexy. *Another BIGGER & BOLDER subsidy is scheduled for 1st of June, 2015 and you may have to sell your laptop charger before you can buy fuel to charge that same laptop!!! * Earlier this year, over 22 innocent Nigerians were killed in the job scam organized by the Nigerian Immigration Service(NIS) . The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, told us the job interrwas "simply mismanaged" and he has retained his office and even with extra luggage. *1 Naira used to be equal $1.2 under #GMB but now it's #186.5 to just $1, the worst ever in our history. * Madam Gele, Ngozi Okonjo, just told us we need an extra $5 billion, through debts of course, so that our economy will not collapse like Humpty-Dumpty. *While Benue State University was on an unending internal strike killing the future of poor Nigerians, Senator DAVID MARK (son of the soil) built his own PRIVATE UNIVERSITY, of course with tax payers' money, and my gentle president followed him to launch the school shamelessly. *He has spent all money in the treasury and even had to BORROW an extra $1 billion but #BokoHaram keeps getting more equipped than our military. *Over 200 girls are missing, over 15,000 killed by #BokoHaram, over 6 million displaced from their homes and uncountable injured beyond repairs yet my president went to a a meeting in #KENYA with 7 different PRIVATE JETS.. *clears throat... * #PHCN is giving their loyal customers GENERATORS as gifts for paying their #electricity bills on time..Grab your COPY NOW!!! . That's less than 1% of the reasons we need change..........GMB 2015!!!!!!!! |

Meet the World’s “Poorest” President who Lives on a Farm: Uruguay’s Jose Mujica (PHOTOS) He lives on a farm, and his official car is a 1987 Volkswagen Beetle. He donates 90% of his monthly salary to charity. President of Uruguay,Jose Mujica, is not your average president. It is commonplace to see some presidents of countries living lavish lifestyles, and in some extreme cases, looting their countries’ finances for personal gain. But not Mujica. He is commonly known as the world’s “poorest” president because of his austere lifestyle. Mujica rejected the luxurious presidential residence the government provided for him and instead opted to live on his wife’s farm located on a dirt road outside the country’s capital. They have no domestic workers – they do all the farm work by themselves. The only staff they have are two police officers. In 2010, his annual personal wealth declaration – mandatory for officials in Uruguay – was $1,800, the value of his Beetle. In an interview with BBC,he said: “I’ve lived like this most of my life, I can live well with what I have… I’m called ‘the poorest president’, but I don’t feel poor. Poor people are those who onlywork to try to keep an expensive lifestyle, and always want more and more This is a matter of freedom. If you don’t have many possessions then you don’t need to work all your life like a slave to sustain them, and therefore you have more time for yourself…”Mujica also has unique views about poverty alleviation. In the 2012 Rio+20 summit he stated: But what are we thinking? Do we want the model of development and consumption of the rich countries? I ask you now: what would happen to this planet if Indians would have the same proportion of cars per household than Germans? How much oxygen would we have left? “Does this planet have enough resources so seven or eight billion can have the same level of consumption and waste that today is seen in rich societies? It is this level of hyper-consumption that is harming our planet. An Arab sheikh recently offered him $1 million for his Beetle. Mujica is currently considering the offer, and says that if he does sell it, he will donate the money to charity.*** In a world where it is possible for one single state to spend over N442 million on plates, spoons, and curtains for a government house, it is somewhat refreshing to know that selfless leaders like Mujica still exist.

How did it Happen? Set of Quadruplets of different race colours born to the same Mother Baffles Scientists (PHOTO) Tampa Bay| The case of four 1-year old brothers from Florida, who were born from the same pregnancy but of four different colors, continues to mystify the scientists who have been studying the boys. The sons of single mother Sheila Wilkinson, appear to have taken all the traits of only one race each, and they all have a different skin color. Although this kind of phenomenon has been observed in the past with twins on some very rare occasions, it is the first case of multicolored quadruplets ever known to have existed. The 23-year old mother got pregnant during the 2012 Springbreak while partying in Louisiana. She admits she had multiple sexual partners over a short time period at and that she is not certain who the father of her children is. The boys were born on December 7th at the Tampa General Hospital, instantly attracting a lot of attention from the world’s media and also from the scientific community. They are named Jason, Timothy, Anthony and William. The geneticians who have studied the boys’ case, believe that they could be the offspring of four different fathers, a phenomenon called heteropaternal superfecundation. Fraternal (dizygotic) twins are the result of hyperovulation, which means the release of multiple eggs in a single cycle. Superfecundation describes a situation where the eggs are fertilized by sperm from separate incidences of sexual intercourse. In a case where a woman has sex with different partners, the twins could have different fathers. In another case well documented case of multicolored twins, one parent was white and one was black, and – as can happen with any fraternal twins – Lauren took after her mother, Alison Spooner, while Hayleigh took after her father, Dean Durrant. What makes this family so remarkable is that this happened not once but twice, seven years apart. British researchers calculated that the odds of two sets of “black and white twins” in the same family are about 2 in a million

Popular dancer Kemi Omotoyinbo dies during child birth Popular dancer, choreographer and part actress Kemi Omotoyinbo has died. The beautiful lady who danced for several popular musicians including Pasuma, KWAM 1 and Shina Peters, died during childbirth in a private hospital in Lagos yesterday October 1st exactly 20 days after her wedding to husband Godwin Eloanyi, which was on September 13th. According to her friends, Kemi was in and out of labour for several days in a private hospital and when she couldn't give birth the natural way, doctors said she would have to do a C&S. The doctors told her the operation would cost N450k and demanded an initial deposit of N300k before they do it. According to Kemi's friends, the husband couldn't come up with the money immediately but begged the hospital to carry on with the operation that he would pay the next day (October 1st) but the hospital insisted on the deposit and refused to carry out the operation. Sadly, Kemi passed away last night. "The hospital killed her with their negligence and wickedness. Kemi would have lived if theyhad done the operation on time but money was more important than a young woman's life. "Kemi's husband said he would pay the money the next day but the doctor refused and stated categorically that he would not move an inch else he pays 300,000. It was at that point Kemi decided to forward messages to people she knows so she could get help. She got responses that money would be made available to her the next day. On hearing that the husband went to beg the doctors again, still they refused. No bank was opened and nothing could be done until Thursday October 2nd but unfortunately she gave up the ghost that night. My point is, the doctors knew she had to go through emergency C&S. they could have saved her life and get the money later. Nigeria is a very bad country I must confess." one of her friends said.Truly sad! May her soul rest in peace...amen

Quite a number of you smell. Be it body or mouth odour but it has become a threat to social existence in our society because some of you are so selfish and too wicked to bother about personal hygiene. Only money money money una de think? It’s not fair ooooo. Come on people, do you know that the way you smell can even favour or be bad luck to you when you are trying to get employed? I know of a model that was hot and when the designer asked her to try on the clothes, the minute she took her top off. The designer “change face” and said “you know what, I’ve changed my mind, your agency will get back” And to the ‘bros’ out there, who think its ‘manly’ to have all the hair in Africa in their armpit, this one is for you, with love from Uti; Brosiyeeeeeee. Shave your pits. Nigeria is too hot, plus no matter what you say, hairy armpits are unsightly. And invest in really strong antiperspirants. Do you agree with him or do you think he was too harsh?? |

The boy also has serious behavioural problems and his parents have to hire a private taxi to transport the boy to a local hospital. The boy also has serious behavioural problems such as stubbornness and hysteriaWhile syndrome itself is not life threatening, the compulsive eating and resulting weight gain can be. That is why restricting a child’s diet is a particularly important part of managing their condition. “And when we walk down the street, people stop, want to take pictures with him, people say that they never saw a boy this size.”According to Misael’s father, when the boy and his parents walk down the street, people stop, want to take pictures with him. People say that they never saw a boy this size and want to know how old he is, how much he weighs. Although there is no cure for Prader-Willi syndrome, treatment aims to manage such symptoms as a permanent feeling of hunger, which can easily lead to dangerous weight gain, reduced muscle tone, learning difficulties and behavioural problems

Plz....don't get my word twisted am not saying we should start building tall buildings but we are blessed in this country with resources and this resources can be used to develop the country and masses can benefit from it. The riches in this country is not circulated above 75percent of the Masses r living below average, Our country is corrupt and yet some people are above the law, what a lawless country!. God bless Nigeria!!!!! |
That's not the main point whether its the tallest building or not??...the point is the Government of this country is really using the country's asset wisely and to the develop their country unlike our Country Nigeria. |
Whither Nigeria? SEE What They Did with $1.5billion in Dubai (PHOTO) Do you know that the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, was built with $1.5bn? But give this same money to Nigerian leaders, it would be smuggled with a private jet and the money will go into their own personal enjoyment. And if they are caught, you will hear that it is government money meant to buy arms. #ThereRisGodO!

The Federal Government yesterday opened diplomatic discussions with South African authorities on the seizure of $9.3m illegally imported by two Nigerians and an Israeli citizen to purchase arms on behalf of Nigerian security services. The Nigerian government insisted that the deal was legal. This is just as National President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, whose private jet, a Bombadier Challenger 600 marked N808HG, was used to convey the money has denied any involvement in the alleged deal. It was gathered that the Federal Government has released data and documents on the transaction process to South Africa, thereby confirming that the entire operation involving the aircraft was ‘genuine’. Vanguard further learnt that as a result of the preliminary diplomatic talks which were convincing to the South African authorities, the private jet may have been released to the Nigerian government pending the conclusion of a comprehensive investigation by South Africa. According to findings, the Bi-Focal diplomatic talks with South Africa were both at governmental level and exchanges by intelligence services of the two nations. Sources said the diplomacy also covered sharing of vital security information to prove that the deal was necessary. It was gathered that the South African Government only faulted “non-declaration” of the cash by the delegation from Nigeria. The source said: “Nigeria and South Africa are getting closer to diplomatic resolution of the row over the $9.3m transaction. The two nations have opened discussions. “The Federal Government has submitted relevant data and documents on the transaction to South Africa and insisted that the transaction was legitimate. “It also clarified that the funds were neither laundered nor smuggled for any covert manoeuvres. No launderer will be audacious to fly into a country in a chartered jet with such huge cash. “The technical details on security matters, which necessitated the deal had been availed South Africa for screening. “Based on initial scrutiny of the documents, the Challenger Jet has been released pending conclusion of a full-scale investigation by South Africa.” Asked why South Africa impounded the cash, the source added: “There was procedural error at the airport, the team did not declare the $9.3million contrary to the aviation and Customs laws of South Africa. So, there was an oversight on the part of the delegation that went to complete the transaction. “Nigeria is trying to complete the formality and we are confident that the cash will be released for the purpose it was meant for.” The source added that, “Movement of cash for strategic purchase of security equipment by intelligence services is not new; it is a global trend. The FBI, KGB, MOSSAD and others do it.” I have no hand in arms deal—Oritsejafor Meanwhile, the National President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, whose private jet, a Bombadier Challenger 600 marked N808HG, was used to smuggle $9.3m into South Africa for alleged purchase of arms for the security services has denied any involvement in the alleged deal. Denying any involvement in the use of the aircraft to smuggle money into South Africa, Pastor Oritsejafor in a statement yesterday, said the private jet has been on lease to another company, Green Coast Produce Limited since August 2 this year. The statement signed by one Bayo Adewoye on behalf of Pastor Oritsejafor said, “the Word of Life Bible Church has been made aware of the recent media interest regarding an aircraft (Bombardier Challenger 600, Registration No N808HG) owned by Eagle Air Company in which our Pastor, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, holds a residual interest. On behalf of Pastor Oritsejafor, we can confirm that although he holds an interest in Eagle Air, the aircraft in question is not operated by Pastor Oritsejafor. The aircraft owned by Eagle Air Company, has confirmed that since 2nd August 2014, the aircraft has been leased to and is operated by Green Coast Produce Limited. This is a standard practice in the industry. Any and all enquiries in respect of the day-to-day operations of this aircraft are properly directed to the management of Green Coast Produce Limited. A separate statement issued by Eagle Air Company signed by Mr Emmanuel Ohaeri also directed all enquiries in respect of the day-to-day operations of the aircraft to the management of Green Coast Produce Limited. How plane was chartered, by Green Coast Produce In its own response, Green Coast Produce Company Limited, in a statement signed by Dr Shima Adun said, “A Bombardier Challenger 600 aircraft Registration No N808HG was leased to us, Green Coast Produce Company Limited, on the 2nd of August 2014. We have since that time been running and managing charter services with the aircraft in accordance and compliance with global best practices. On the 5th of September 2014 the aircraft was hired from us by a John Ishyaku. The charter to John Ishyaku was upon the following documented terms: *Depart Abuja-Johannesburg on the 5th of September 2014; *Return to Abuja on the 6th of September 2014; *To wait and return with the passengers. “The said terms are normative within the industry. “As with every other aircraft charter company, our knowledge of the cargo carried on the aircraft was in accordance with the information provided by ABC Limited. All cargo were accompanied by passengers who could readily defend the contents. We are not and can not be privy to any alleged extraneous cargo transported on the aircraft other than that declared in the agreed terms of hire. We are not liable and cannot be construed as a party to any alleged infractions, either in Nigeria or South Africa as the case may be, after the hire of the aircraft. “We issue this statement without prejudice to any statutory or commissioned investigation being conducted or to be conducted in South Africa or Nigeria. Plane left Abuja Sept 5 According to reports, the jet departed Abuja on Sept 5th and when it arrived South Africa, Customs officers became suspicious when the passengers’ luggage was unloaded and put through the scanners. The officers then investigated and found three suitcases full of cash. The passengers then told Custom officials that they were acting on behalf of the Nigerian intelligence service and provided documentation confirming they had come to South Africa to buy weapons for the Nigerian Security Services. Spokesperson of the South African Revenue Service (SARS), Marika Muller in a statement said the money was seized at Lanseria airport, north-west of Johannesburg. The statement said “the passengers’ luggage was searched after Customs officials detected irregularities. The money was detained as it was undisclosed/undeclared and above the prescribed legal limit”. They held a rally in Ikeja, Lagos State, to educate the public on the threat of Ebola virus, Sahara Reporters reports. They carried placards which inscriptions like, ‘It’s not spiritual, it’s a virus be hygienic’, ‘You may not cure Ebola but you may prevent it’, ‘Schools are not car park therefore you cannot drop children at your own risk, no resumption on September 22’. The rally was led by women’s activist and leader of the Women Arise group, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, who said the resumption of schools without provision of running waters, sanitary items and renovation of school toilets is an invitation to a public epidemic. All participants at the rally called on the Government to ensure proper renovation of school toilets and ensure provision of sanitary equipment before resumption is allowed.
