I observed that all the former nigeria leader have their names named after one or two institutions in Nigeria but i ve done a thorough search but could not find one named after Buhari! Is there any! If not what could be responsible for it. Nairalanders over to you |
ShowYourCertificate:haba! You are supposed to have stopped dis ur campaign of calumny. After all dis ur propaganda did not win ur clueless oga election. It is time to rise above baseless sentiment and pray for a better Nigeria |
hmm such is life, it is a lesson 4 evry1 that life is not a smooth affairs and their is no permanent position 4 anyone. It is beta we use our position judiciously coz our time are numberd and history ll 4eva live behind us |
Buhari should also lure more investors into cement production so that there wu be competitive market which wu probably relieive Nigerians of buying the product at exorbitant rate. Hope Dangote ll be happy for that development |
hmm he is tactically campaigning for senate presidency, |
My own choice is General Muhanmadu Buhari. He is a great asset to apc beleive me if apc did not present him they might not have gone this far. Infact he is like an 'hot cake' to APC. They knew this and presented him. |
in outgoing administration north occupied three out of the first four ranking i.e vice president, senate president, and speaker. I think we want to be fair south shoul also atleast occupy atleast two out of the four. If no senator ss/se can become senate prsd coz of their party affiliation south west has evry ryt to take it up considering their heavy marginalization in the outgoing admin if not that then the speaker if their is no apc house member from the se/ss |
Plateau? Nigerians now vote for the good governance and not for the party |
yeah his good work has spoken for him |
Sweetguy25:it wu have been better if he joined another party other than pdp joining pdp realy contradicted his person. I really wonder how he campained for jonathan |
Apc won during presidential poll and now PDP has won! This is a good development for our democracy this result tends to show that Nigerians are now more aware and wiser than ever. It seems Nigeria now vote 4 good governance and not for the party. Congrats to gov Dankwambo and the good people of Gombe state i hope such feat is achived in Imo state |
well, i ve ceased to pay attention to this man. On Lagos they ll concede another defeat even b4 the annoucement |
ganduje is 75 he is the oldest |
They made more empty vows than this before their elimination at the presidential poll . Saturday ll b worse! |
temitemi1:birds of the same feather....... |
I ve posted my own forecast which i tink is more real than this the differences btw this and mine are: jigawa Apc Adamawa APC (so close though) Lagos Apc (all this noise about jk shall b put to rest latest on sunday) Niger: so certain for Apc Gombe: is also very likely to b won by Apc Nassarawa: Pdp winning Nassarawa state is a pure joke beleive me Apga is even stronger than Pdp in nassarawa but Apc ll still carry d day though it cu b with small margin. Imo: i dont see Ihedioha winning in imo mind u apga is also a seriuos contender in this state but i think okorocha ll pull more crowd than the duo coz apc cu take advantage of their split votes. Well, igbos might still reject apc out of their sheer hatred towards the party especially when their 'own' has lost out. They ll want to make PDP which now appears to be exclusively theirs relevant atleast in their territory. Apc is now seen by majority Igbo as north and south west party and as such okorocha's chance is slim. But i ll still give it to him. Oyo: though the overwheming votes apc got in oyo during the last election ll b greatly reduced this time coz apc benefited greatly from the popularity of Buhari in oyo state remember even when Buhari was almost 'invincible' in the whole south in 2011 he managed to get 92,000 votes in oyo state ! It is impossible for apc to win three senator and twelve house member if the elections were not held on the same day with presidential election. Though there are actually five 'big men' in the race (Ajimobi, Akala, Ladoja seyI makindeandTeslim Folarin) but the race is btw Ajimobi and Ladoja but i tink Ajimobi ll win. Adamawa: in Adamawa it cu hav been like walkover for ribadu if he is running on the platform of apc despite that he wu comand gr8 crowd but may not b enough to win the state though it is too close to call but i feel that sen Bindow may have an edge.however i wish ribadu get appointment under GMB administration he left apc probably for lack of he has for T inubu i agree with them on the rest forecast |
mcdc:prophet, for ur info larger percent of those who voted 4 PDP during d presidential election did so on the basis of tribalistic sentiment. The game ll surely change this time around Rochas is well on ground in Imo! |
Please I want someone to convince me that Abuja despite being the capital city of Nigeria is not mostly claimed by certain tribe in Nigeria. I want to know if any yoruba or igbo man has ever aspired or been elected to represent abuja at the senate or house of representative |
Based on the reality and throuogh assessment of what is on ground i can savely say the following are likely new set of governors for the next four years: Abia- ALEX OTTI APGA (closed contextt btw pdp) EBONYI- ENGR DAVE UMAHI PDP ENUGUN-IFEANYI UGWUANYI PDP IMO- ROCHAS OKOROCHA APC (votes ll b split btw pdp and apga) RIVERS- NYSON WIKE PDP CROSS RIVER - BEN AYADE PDP AKWA IBOM-UDOM EMMANUEL PDP DELTA- IFEANYI OKOWA PDP OGUN - SEN IBIKUNLE AMOSUN APC OYO- SEN ISAQ AJIMOBI APC LAGOS- AKINWUNMI AMBODE APC (closed context btw pdp) NIGER- ABUBAKAR BELLO APC NASSARAWA- TANKO AL-MAKURA APC (votes ll b split btw apga and pdp) KWARA- ABDULFATAH AHMED APC BENUE- SAMUEL ORTOM APC (closed cotext btw pdp) PLATEAU- GYANG PWAJOK PDP (cosed context closed context btw apc) KANO- UMAR GANDUJE APC KADUNA- NASIR EL-RUFAI APC KATSINA - RT HON BELLO MASARI APC KEBBI - SEN ABUBAKAR ATIKU BAGUDU APC ZAMFARA - AZZIZ YARI APC SOKOTO - RT HON AMINU WAZIRI TAMBBUWAL APC JIGAWA - ABUBAKAR TELAMIZ APC BORNO- KASHIM SHETTIMA APC YOBE- IBRAHIM GEIDAM APC BAUCHI- ABDULLAH ABUBAKAR APC GOMBE- MUHAMMED YAHYA APC ADAMAWA - SEN UMAR BINDOW JIBRILA APC (closed context btw PDP) TARABA- DARIUS ISHAKU PDP those are the 29 states where election ll be held. Any contrary? |

May God guide GMB aright as he set to take the bull by the horn and face the daunting task of piloting the ship of our dear nation to the glory land |
Pdp 196 Apc 604 |
ironically, 2moro is supposedly environmental sanitation. But we ll forego sweeping off mere refuse for getting rid of more harzardous refuse who have constistently unleashed havoc on the helpless Nigerians. Join me as i welcome GMB to the Aso Rock! May God guide him aright as he set to take the bull by the horn by facing the daunting task of piloting the ship of Nigeria to the glory land . |
Fellow Nigerians, As the saying goes 'health is wealth' As we all know dirty environment lead to diseases in the society. As usual practice - mass cleaning of our environment every last saturday of the month. Ironically, 2moro is another environmental sanition. But interestingly, we ll forego sweeping off mere refuses for getting rid of more 'gr8 and harzadous refuse' (they won't be killed though but ll be humiliated and disgraced out of our political system) In order to ensure hygenic and disease- free, society , good people of Nigeria have resolved to sanitise our system by getting rid of 'dirtycitians' who have persistently unleashed havoc on helpless Nigerians come tomorrow! I and millions Nigerians of good conscience have decided to reject unproductive leaders and massively support the man of impeccable character........ Join me as i welcome GMB to the Aso rock! Note : I unfortunately fall into the category of Nigerians who could not incure their pvc but i am currently contributing my quota in mobilising those who ve collected pvc to pitch their tent with the people's general tomorow and mind you, I am not an Apc member! May God guide aright General Buhari as he set to take the bull by the horn and face the daunting task of piloting the ship of Nigeria to the glory land. |
Mark my word Buhari shall be massively voted for on saturday! By this time on sunday all jonathanians ll b mourning the exit of gej from the Aso rock . Bet me, they ll take a long break from nairaland. They ll avoid being disgraced here. So shall it by God's grace |
Gombs:if wishes were horses, beggar ll certainly ride |
please pardon me for some of the typographic error hope you ll be able to comprehend my message |
Now let me give you an instance to butress my point. I was in a bank a few months ago wanting to withdraw cash from ATM machine. There was actually a very intense congestion. Despite the fact that I was in an hurry I had to join the long que soon i raelized that people were spending more time than normal. At first I thought the service was poor but it later unfortunately dawned on me that certain unholy activities were going on. Some people when they came (because of their personal relationship or probably certain agreement with them) went straight to the people in the front que giving them their ATM card and pins once they did that they left immeditely. Leaving us under the scorching sun! Some of them did not leave but waited and collected their cash and ATM. It got to a stage when we started lamenting bitterly (except those with many ATM cards who had guilty conscience) including one man behind me who was also condemning the unjust attitude of the people. Well, i was more dazzled when I saw that particular man advancing to one man to collect his card and cash who had helped him to withdraw! As this drama went on, I got fumed up I felt like taking this injustice to the notice of the authority concerned. As I was contemplating that, to my greatest shock, I saw one of the officials coming out, collecting ATM from some people, he went straight to the machine and helped them to withdraw! I then became helpless and resigned to my faith. As many ll agree with me thathis (above instance) is just one of the 'millions' instances of selfishness and injustice in our midst Which we have failed to correct. Imagine, one of the (afformentioned) people can easily come to the social media or other channels of communiction registering their displeasure and attributing their woes solely to the inefficiency of the government of the day but they fail to realize that they are major contributors!. The truth is that we busy ourselves with the faulth of our leaders but we refuse to look at and correct our own fault. If the truth must be told we have the same mindset as our leaders- we are selfish, self- centered and narrow-minded and it is owning to this lack of true brotherhood our ailment as a nation could be traced. Now how do i link this incompassionate character of ours to election, many Nigerians back aspirants purposely for what they stand to achieve personaly or sectionaly if they are elected. I had heard people in many occation praying that certain political aspirant shoud emerge because they beleive his goodwill and generocity could be possibly extended to them (personally) if he got elected and not for the good of the generality of the people he intended to represent. Such is the scenario that is currently playing out. Many Buharist and Jonathanians are supporting them for some filmsy reasons -for what they stand to gain personaly, because they are of the same party,or of the same ethnic group and the likes. Until we rise above all these unnecessary sentiment, i don't think there can be any meaniful development in our dear nation. We must allow patriotism to overide other interest. We should not vote even for a candadate because he is our party man. Yes, I think we should base our selection on the thorough assessment of all contending aspirants and should let patriotism guide our decision. We can vote for another seemigly more reliable and credible candidate if our party impose wrong candidate. Yes, let them tag it 'anti party' for it is better if we are not 'anti-masses' through what lead to our selection of candidates! So, fellow Nigerians, let us resolve to turn over a new leaf and begin to be compassionate, kind, sincere in our dealings with others. I beleive ,if this is experimented it ll go a long way in curbing some of the ills of our society. For the clarity purpose,I am not suggesting that our political leaders are pardonable for their enormous shortcomings but what i am insunating is that we are all guilty! Let us examine our conscience. In conclusion, as we go into election, we must not base our choice on: ethnicity, political parties, religious even if the candidates is our father! Let us let patriotism be our watchword. The general interest of the people must influence our choice on the day of election. I hope we get right this time around. May God bless Nigeria. |
Dear fellow Nigerians, As we know, we are in the mood of election. So we are on the match again! We are on the match to take yet another significant decision of our national life. With due respect to other presidential candidates, it is palpably obvious that people are heading towards two direction as regard the presidency: The incumbent president Goodluck Jonathan of PDPand former head of state General Muhanmadu Buhari of the opposition party APC. As usual, (especially Nigeria political trend) in a period like this politicians usually explore all possible avenue of devices and strategies (whether fair or not) to outsmart their opponent and to win public acceptance. Through credible and fair process or otherwise they are always ready to do everything to ge their mission accoplished. With a very few days to election, campaign, lobby and lure have intensely increased. Supporters of the two leading candidates have left virtually nothing 'undone' in advancing the cause of their men. Flying on both sides of the divides are campaign of calumnies, propaganda, and baseless accusation. Today one who accuse Lai Muhanmed (APC) of using pampers because his body can no longer regulates digestive system, tomorrow someone from other camp ll accuse Fani Kayode (PDP)as being a drug addict who need sychiatric attention. No more manifestoes, no more plan and idea on how to make life more meaningful to the citizen. This level of insult has gone overboard! Even among ordinary supporters (like many of us on nairaland) campaign of hared and insult have gone beyond control. While this drama reaches the climax fellow Nigerians, let pause for a moment and ponder deeply .......okay, let us ask ourselves where can this lead us to ? We are crying for positive change yet, we refuse to 'change' our own selves! And mind you our circumstances ll never change until we change what is in ourselves. As a matter of fact we masses and our so called leaders are synonymous in character. In fact, our leaders selfish style of operating the governance reflect the average traits of Nigerians! (To be continued) |
please can any one furnish me any latex new about the ex governor af Adamawa Murtala Nyako. In Which party is he now? Or has he retired from politics? Who is he backing for presidency? |
Dear fellow country men As we know, we are in to another electioneering process in fact we are already in the mood of election. So we are on the match again! We are on the match to make yet another significant decision of our national life. As usual (especilly in Nigerian politics) in period like this politician usually explore all avenue of devices and strategies (whether it is fair or not) just to outsmart their opponent and to win public acceptance. Through credible process or otherwise, they are always ready to anything to achieve their aspiration. As we enter the final phase of the process, campaign, lobby, and lures have intensely increased. Supporter of the two main parties have left virtually nothing urturn in advancing the cause of their candidates. Flying on both sides of the divides are campaign of propaganda, calumnies, and baseless and groundless accusation. Tody someone ll accuse Lai Muhanmed (aAPC) of using pampers because his body can no longer regulate digestive system 2moro someone from other camp ll say Fani kayode (pdp) is a drug dealer who needs sychiatric attention. No more issue based campaign, no more manifestoes, no more ideas and plan as to make life more meaninful for the citizen. This level of insult has gone overboard. Ordinary supporters (like many of us on nairaland) are not left out in this mess campaign of hatred and insult has gone beyond control among them. While this drama goes on, fellow Nigerians! Let us pause for a moment and ponder deeply and ask ourselves; 'where can this lead us to?' We are crying for change while we refuse to change among ourselvelves! And mind you 'our circumstances ll never change untill we change what is in ourselves! (To be continued) |
br IbnSultaan:Brother, i dont think it is proper to abuse them. In fact it is not really islamic to abuse. I think it is high time we muslims stop engaging ourselves in this kind of unnecessary and ridiculous argument. For clarity purpose there are two groups of enemy for islam.Enemies within (munafik) who continue to masqurade as muslims, pursuing different kinds of ideolgy which are foreign to islam like killing, maiming, innocent people and practice all form of evil acts and engage in all forms of faulty acts which are absolutely unislamic! All in the name of islam .The second enemie are these people who continue to explore all possible avenue just to discredit the religion of islam.well since islam is not the handiwork of anyone, since it is by the will of Allah (the owner of everything) it came into existence, no amount of combined munafik and millions of other assemblage of conspirators' propaganda and conspiracy can lead to the extinct of islam. So i think we should stop all these senseless argument. No one can defend Allah! He is all-wise, all might. As He continue to send His proofs which are visible, veritable and undeniable. (e.g a baby who was mysteriously born with the same quran they keep attacking even by a christian mother! And lots of other significant proofs) . So let them come out with their own veritable and sufficient proof if they are truthful! The more we argue with them, the more they continue ridiculing islam. Meanwhile, let us always deal with them with utmost respect and modesty and always demonstrate the remarkable beauty of islam to everyone irrespective of their faith so that when we preach to them they ll see light in our messages. May Allah guide their soul aright and keep us in the path of righteousness. (Amin) |
