Hi.... I have followed your enquiry and we are in same situation. I payed in the previous website, didn't book any appointment, created a profile on the new website (AVITS) and yet to get migration link in email. Have you resolved it, please? RoyV: Thank you for responding- quite helpful.
Please, did you create a new profile on AVITS before receiving the link? Or you simply waited to receive the link? Because I paid via GTB before migration but did not book an appointment because I was waiting for migration. Created a new profile on AVITS on September 2nd because I thought that links were only being sent to people with appointments. Maybe I should delete my newly created profile on AVITS then, and wait for the link. |

Hi, Please how would you rate the performance of the Inverter generator? Can you give a personal experience of the one you have including its specifications? I am looking to buy one myself. My concern in overall noise and power rating in relation to fuel consumption. Thanks dlox147: Very informative. I just bought one of the inverter generator |

Good stuff... Good to know you don hammer. lol. If you don't care about NSE.. I'm sure you can go straightups to COREN. Just work on your report I reckon it requires the hardest work of all aspects. Good luck! kevoh: Lol , how time flies! Between April(when I made that comment) and December, a whole lot of things have happened! Now I can confidently raise that sum of money without grumbling! Thanks all the same! |

You're absolutely right shine12: You are right, I later found out that those cables are not doing anything, just aesthetic. That's fraud lool because a concrete deck bridge will be cheaper than a cable-stayed bridge. |

And who says some people don't prefer tea without sugar!! Another analogy please!!! Bhugarious: I am proud to be an engineer, for my profession takes care of world's major industries and adds value to humanity. Without engineers this global village would be likened to tea without sugar. |

kevoh: Yes Sir, I know. I just prefer having the cash set aside before embarking on such journey. Hope I can contact you in due time for some info and guide and will not be a bother to your possibly busy schedule? You wouldn't get anything done with this mentality, trust me! I once started out like you! Just start and you would be amazed where you find yourself! |

shine12: It’s about time a Nigerian Design Consultancy start taking the design lead on our bridge, rail, highway and building projects. We cannot afford to continue procuring engineering services from abroad.
The Nigerian resident Julius Berger also needs to up their game. The 29 billion naira (145 million dollars) spent on building the cable-stayed 1.4km long lekki-Ikoyi link bridge will build a grandeur and iconic suspension bridge for that bridge span. Julius Berger needs competition from another major residential Design Consultancy.
When a country allows foreign Engineers to come in and design her project, such country will be exposed to an underdevelopment of local Engineers, Capital flight, less employment in the Engineering sector and will also face National Security Issues (the country that built the structures know what the capacity of your infrastructures are and can use them during war time, God forbid!!). Our Engineering Graduates and Technicians are intelligent enough and what they need is the appropriate experience for them to be the best they can possibly be.
It's not about the Professional institution (NSE, Coren, ICE, IStructE) recognition but what an Engineer can deliver, the accreditations will chase you when you have the right experience Sorry to burst your bubble, that bridge is not even a cable-stay bridge.. those cable-like stuffs are actually rods and are strictly aesthetic; they perform no structural role whatsoever! Its a reinforced concrete deck bridge! - EssOO (Structural Engineer_ Coincidentally witnessed the construction on this bridge from piling to commissioning from waterside Lekki) |

mystikal: Fair enough!!
But if you are looking to work with PPMC or NETCO for instance that are not refineries situated in one place. PPMC for instance deals with the supply of refined petroleum products to the existing domestic and growing export markets within West African sub-region. so offices would be scattered all over.......feel me ?
I was looking for an expert opinion anyway.
And for the guy that asked i wait to get the offer before concerning myself with job locations, i am asking this to arm myself before those perceived interview dates. feeel me? Cheers!! Please do you have any idea what subsidiary would be most appropriate for a Civil/ Structural Engineer? Seeking to have ideas of which of them is design/ construction/ Project management related. Thanks! |

Did anyone who didn't recieve text/sms invitation for the test (especially if you changed the mobile number you were using when you applied) recieve this new text message for the interview?? I cannot recollect if we were asked our mobile numbers again during the test2. Has any Civil Engineer recieved the 'interview text message'? Jah Bless |
