Yes he can. i will recommend your brother look into the J1 visa. there are several types. Internship and Summer work and travel is two of there.

Also being a masters student in Romania, I am not sure how long he has been in Romania but look at my Tips about applying for Visitors visa in the beginning of this thread. I strongly believe he stand a better chance right now as a student and not wait till he finish school, except there is a post graduate job waiting for him after the completion of his program

Additionally, send him this link

Honestly, if you are in the Arts field, getting a job in western countries will be hard. Except you want to get a phd and go onto Academics full time.

A lot of Americans are having troubles getting jobs cos they studied courses in the Arts field. Most people with srts degrees of some sort end up waiting tables. If you're coning to America be ready and willing to switch field. Be open minded to learning new things. I know a Nigerian lawyer that got her nursing degree late last year. Shes now enjoying the hard work and she finished it in 2 years (she has family here so she focused on school full time)
@bj pls my brother is in Romania doing his masters can he apply for summer jobs in the US?? if yes please how will he apply... thank u, u are really doing a great job

Yes SSCE can get you admitted once you produce scratch card for online check. Undergraduate scholarship is hard to come by. I didn't get one. However, for graduate schools, they have so many full funded programs (MPHIL). Most are in sciences. once, you are admitted, your program is paid for in full. but you will do research, write paper taya. it is strictly for people wey like research and they pay you stipend too for being graduate tutor (i think it is like 1300USD paid on the first month to cover three months)

Canadian embassy denied my application that year (2013) so i was vexing when i applied. (Canada embassy took 5 months to go through my application and still denied me, it was an awful experience). I wasn't required to pay tuition when i was admitted. Took their admission letter to their consulate and got the visa. it was all like magic. When the visa came out i started telling my people to "help my ministry". My dad was against it. He was like "you wey don finish Uni for here, you wan go start another degree for Caribbean. Not even America, Caribbean!!!". i was unfazed. (you know that mentality when you don give up on Naija). I must leave o. Took my visa together with my admission letter and supporting documents, apply for transit visa, i got it. That was when people started taking me serious. so everyone rallied around and help yours truly with plane fare and some pocket change
wow such an inspiring story... keep up the good work

Hi everyone,

I was at the embassy today. My appointment was scheduled for 9:30am, got there 8:50am and found a long queue of about 100people. I walked up to the lady at the main entrance and said to her I have got a baby with me and that it so windy and cold; and she said I should just walk in..... so I didn't have to join the queue.

9.20am I was right in front of the V.O

V.O - morning ! Passport please.
Me: morning, how are you today?
V.O - Not too bad. Where are you visiting and for how long ?
Me: Chicago/4days
V.O- where do you work ? And your wife
Me- blah blah
V.O - how long have you been living in the UK?
Me: 7years
V.O- your visa approved ! And you get your passport in few days.

9:37am I was already out of the premises.
congrats To U

Oh boy! they will verify. Please let your aunt declare if she has amounts of money greater than or equal to $10,000. This include all currencies.
They will convert it to dollars and sum it together. If they don't have a reasonable amount of money in cash and in the ATM card, they should wait and have that. Very important.
Thank U Do They Check Atm Card Too?maybe she should reschedule her flight?

PoliticsPoor Electricity Supply And Buhari by esteeino13(op): 11:11am On May 12, 2016
Of all the ingredients vital to a nation’s questfor scientific and technological advancement on the one hand and economic prosperity on the other, none is as critically indispensable as electricity.

The reasons are too self-evident to recount here, but suffice to say that just as the heart is a person’s ‘engine,’ electricity is the wheel on which all other things rotate.By way of comparison, consider what happened following the introduction of GSM in Nigeria in 2001.

No sooner did mobile phones materialise than a thousand and one flowers began to bloom here. Communication experienced a revolution of sorts after decades of depending on NITEL’s criminal inefficiency.

PoliticsReal Amount Diverted In Arms Purchase Was $15bn--lai Mohammed by esteeino13(op): 10:00am On May 11, 2016
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, says the total amount of money diverted for arms purchase in the last administration is actually $15 billion and not $2.1 billion. Lai said this while speaking at the Federal Government town hall meeting in Kaduna state yesterday May 10th.

According to him, the fight against corruption by this administration has made Nigerians become less tolerant of corruption

https://essencegist..com.ng/2016/05/real-amount-diverted-in-arms-purchase.html?m=1

“Today, Nigerians are less tolerant of corruption and corrupt people than before. This is because we have raised the bar in the fight against this cankerworm. We have also brought to the attention of Nigerians the cost of corruption. Thanks to the sensitisation campaign we launched earlier this year. Let me state here that the revelations from the $2.1 billion dollars are just a tip of the iceberg, because the total funds involved in the arms purchase is $15 billion”he said.

PoliticsSaraki Was Richer Than Kwara State Before He Was Elected Governor - Saraki's Law by esteeino13(op): 11:27pm On May 10, 2016
Paul Erokoro, one of the lawyers of Senate President Bukola Saraki, caused stir at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) on Tuesday when he said his client was richer than the Kwara government before he became governor.
Erokoro said this while cross examining Michael Wetkas, a detective of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

However, his statement elicited the rebuke of Rotimi Jacobs, counsel to the federal government; the prosecution, who said that being rich does not stop a thief from stealing.
Wetkas admitted that the defendant was worth millions in dollars and pounds before he was governor.
