chrisooblog:I beg to disagree.. His injury was a disaster... Where is Oshaniwa... Now.... At the moment ụwa is indispensable... The sooner we realise this the better for all of us... His got experience at this level and on the big stage in top leagues at his side....... I repeat... He is our best bet at left back for now... Cept superman turns up in green n white for the spot.... The two games against Cameroon barring any injury or dreadful loss of form shows our team for the world cup... Quote me anywhere... |
Humility017:Already stated that Aina and Tyrone are our options there... The question is are they good enough to displace him yet... Those kids are rookies on the international stage... When push comes to shove experience will carry ụwa through... All I am asking for is we give him the respect he deserves.... Cc Sir icon4s |
DrKlever:kindly stay of my mention if you looking for a fight and cannot be polite... Please... Thank you...I didn't quote you.....I do not have the strength for what you wanna start...rarely have the time to post opinions, not to talk of to argue with someone who clearly needs lessons on public communication and etiquette from his mama. Okay I just wasted 5 seconds of my life on you and that hurts me more... |
terzurum5:right here following silently. Glad someone remembers.. Sir terzurum5...ok OK I will drop comments. Regarding the left back issue, I am deeply touched and sad at the amount of stick given echeijile. We know age is not on his side, he has lost a yard or two, but please....he is the best option we have right now.. Sad but true.. If you disagree, please name a natural left back of Nigerian origin, qualified to play for us, in any of the top 20 leagues in the world, [20 I mean expand the bracket] that will unseat ụwa. Rohr is no slouch, he knows what he is doing. He will continue to field the best we have, and right now ụwa is our best bet for a starting position atleft back... Show the dude some respect. Disagree much give names.. And not make shift options.. Right now in the team we got Aina and Tyrone... Make shift options..... How did we even get here... I need to develop my left leg asap.. Lolz..... Or probably make a baby, force him to be a leftie with an eye on the left back position of the Eagles...... All am asking for is for ụwa to be shown some respect..... Cos he has held his own for years in the team.... And I can't remember any mistake he has done in recent games that cost us goals... Accept his limitations.. Uphold his strengths... We are a team... PS..if ụwa gets injured before the world cup.. Then we are screwed.. SCREWED FROM ALL HOLES.. ASK KESHI AND THE LAST WORLD CUP WE PARTICIPATED.. peace I'm out. |
femi4:How many do you know? Stop posting trash |
And Dominic forgiveness Solanke won the golden ball..thus we nor go hear word again! What a waste of energy arguing over what one cannot change! Not as if the boy has agreed to play for SE. Dominic for ballondor..And Ajagun as runner up. Ajagun is the next best player in the world. He can play cmf, dmf, amf, rmf, lmr, infact he can play goalkeeper better than akpeyi. Anybody oppose I call forgiveness for you...Smh..Iranu |
Icon4s:He will not answer. You should know him better. The goal was the turning point in the match. As a defender you do not let ur man stay more than an arms length away from you in the eighteen especially when defending crosses. Later in in the game he @Awaziem, got jittery began to dive in lost his positional sense and almost gave away a penalty. TheGoodJoe can never see this. To him Awaziem is the next Ramos nd can do no wrong. The kid had a nightmarish debut on the big stage #fact..The attackers and mids can be excused if they have a bad day but a defender always have to be on point. One mistake nd you cost your team. |
TheGoodJoe:Please can you explain how the ball got close to Akpeyi? Who let the striker get free run! Let me repeat icon4s if it were omeruo we for nor hear word today! My conclusion is you are not objective in your analysis. Very one sided ..You and forgiveness? I dont even know who is worse! I support nacho but the guy was piss poor today.. As a striker void of service what are you supposed to do? He stay front there they wait ball.. Dono if he had up to 10 successful passes today |
forgiveness: [quote author=forgiveness post=57393181]kikikikikikikikik hhhahahhahhahahhahhhha..ROTFLMAO....just the comedy I needed to cool my anger after today's game... You sure can rival Bovi! |
forgiveness:Like Ajagun abi? |
Humility017:I de vex abeg..the midfield didn't connect today..iwobi was a passenger nd nacho was his seat mate. Let's take this as one of those days...going forward the team as a whole will learn lessons from this..hope they rise ..when the 4 of ikeme, balogun, mikel nd moses get back the team will be stronger surely..I am still hopeful. |
Where are those shouting awaziem up and down...come out now! The kid looked lost in that defence today and was clearly culpable for the first goal..how can he let his man get a free header? Rohr must be regretting starting him now..the occasion was just too big for him..our defence was all over the place after we conceded.. |
TheGoodJoe:O goodjoe...u went with awaziem over omeruo...If u want me to dig up your quotes I will even though I don't have the time...Just admit you got it wrong and stop painting it with your drills story. Smiles...hope you get the joke? No harm meant. |
jargo89:Did you watch enyeama when he was at enyinmba...I think aiyenugba was in same team when they lifted the caf champions league on penalties! Memory a bit sketchy.. Sir icons4s please help me here Enyeama ..great goalkeeper..rufia..dosu..shorunmu..enyeama..who's next? Not akpeyi jo..we just they manage m for now |
TheGoodJoe:Chai you can change mouth eh..see as you they codedly they shift ground! Is alryt ..kwantinue |
forgiveness:It seems you cannot make use of your eyes...check the team list again nd tell me who is the 1st 2nd n 3rd choice striker? And tell me how ajagun is not an old man..your love for this ajagun eh....seems na your brother.Thank God you not eagles coach. |
Revealed – The Amount West Ham Are Proposing To Man CIty As Buy-Back Fee For Iheanacho Kelechi Iheanacho proposed move to West Ham is very much alive with talks still ongoing on the issue of buy back fee, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal. Already West Ham have agreed to pay Manchester City 24 million pounds as transfer fee, but City wants a buy back clause with a set price after couple of years. An agreement is yet to be reached on that. Owngoalnigeria.com gathered West Ham are currently holding on to a fee of 40 million pounds as buy back, but Man City are insisting on 30 million pounds which has stalled talks. Also the duration which the buy back option will last is also yet to be resolved with City aiming at a period of four years, while West Ham wants the buy back option to last for a period of two and half years. A compromise is far from reached, but the desire of Iheanacho to remain in England, particularly London is working perfectly for “The Hammers” who have already agreed personal terms with the forward. According to the agency responsible for his transfer, a decision on his final destination will most likely be made public in two weeks time when judgement will be passed on the court case over his bonafide intermediary . Tiote, who only moved to Chinese second division outfit Beijing Enterprises four months ago, was rushed to hospital on Monday evening at 6pm local time. However, the Ivorian passed away at around 7pm, and his agent confirmed the Ivorian's death in a statement. Cheick Tiote has died after collapsing during a training session in China Tiote was reportedly rushed to hospital but passed away at the age of 30 The Ivorian spent seven years with Newcastle United before moving to China CHEICK TIOTE Born: June 21, 1986 Nationality: Ivorian Clubs: Anderlecht, Roda, Twente, Newcastle, Beijing Enterprises International caps: 52 (1 goal) Honours: Belgian First Division (2006, 2007); Belgian Super Cup (2006, 2007); Eredivisie (2010); Dutch Super Cup (2010); Africa Cup of Nations (2015) 'It is with deep sadness that I confirm that my client Cheick Tiote sadly passed away earlier today after collapsing in training with his club Beijing Enterprises,' said Emanuele Palladino. A Beijing Enterprises statement read: 'At 6pm on June 5, Tiote fell unconscious during training. He was immediately taken to hosp but died at 7pm'. The world of football was quick to pay tribute. Newcastle posted a short statement via Twitter, which read: 'We are devastated to have learnt of the tragic passing of former Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tioté in China today.' Manager Rafael Benitez called Tiote 'a great man' as he remembered his former charge. 'It is with great sadness that I have this afternoon learned of Cheick's death,' he said. The thoughts of everyone at Newcastle United are with Cheick's family, friends, teammates and everyone connected with the clubs he represented. The Ivory Coast midfielder, who made more than 150 appearances for the Magpies between 2010 and 2017, was training with his current club, Bejiing Enterprises, on Monday when he collapsed. He was taken to hospital but sadly passed away. Cheick cemented his place in Newcastle folklore with his dramatic equaliser in the 4-4 draw against Arsenal in February 2011. 'In the all the time that I have known him, he was a true professional, dedicated and above all, a great man. 'Our hearts go out to his family and friends at such a sad time.' Gone too soon.' The Ivorian midfielder made 156 appearances for Newcastle after signing from Dutch club FC Twente for £3.5million in 2010. Tiote scored just one goal for the Magpies but it will live long in the memories of Newcastle supporters, having secured a point in a remarkable 4-4 draw with Arsenal. He represented his country at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, and was part of the Africa Cup of Nations-winning Ivory Coast squad in 2015. His final Toon appearance came in an FA Cup clash with Birmingham in January, after which he moved to Asia to sign for Beijing Enterprises Group. On the Osihmen debate! Here is my take. Please before you criticize Rohr's decision put yourself in his shoes. This is what I feel he is doing. He is building the team for the now with an eye on the future. Osihmen is our 3rd choice striker now n my guess is that slot is reserved for our best youth team striker. Awoniyi and orji will come to mind but osihmen is at a higher playing level than both coupled with the fact that he is the poster boy of the nff thus he will always get the call up to train with the team. That is what he is there for..for drills..it is a no brainer. You can't call up an ideye or ighalo or a newbie to sit as 3rd choice striker in a lone striker system when you are still running the rule over a top potential like osihmen. Same idea goes for alampasu and awaziem. They are been eased into d nt environment gently. So please do not expect them to start yet. I just love this Rohr. For the ajagun matter I got no comments abeg. That one na mumu debate. You want to call up an old man to replace who? Who is he better than? Keshi 2014 all over again abi? You want questionable team selections abi? Rohr has a master plan for Nigeria nd he will implement to the fullest. Sorry if you can't see it. You go just they shout up nd down. It won't change anything. |
forgiveness:Forgive me forgiveness but you can make unnecessary nd unguarded comments eh! Displace who now? Abeg explain |
Icon79:O please game was over bf d red card! |
Mujtahida:Awaziem better?..*coughs and clears throat* because of porto b? Omeruo na chelsea player shey you know? Omeruo was not a rookie..I beg to disagree..he had been playing youth football and consistently been with d senior team bf afcon 13. Anyway rohr has d final say..nd whatever he decides we will all respect it nd hope it is for the best. I guess I will draw the curtain on my contributions to this discuss here..thanks everybody |
TheGoodJoe:TheGoodJoe I m your fan..but I will strongly disagree with you on this...just answer simple question is awaziem better than omeruo? Does rohr trust him more? Do u think awaziem can implement the tactical plan agaisnt sa better than omeruo? As a city fan..why do you think maffeo, adarabioyo, denayer nd angelino will likely not get shots at first team football and become regular starters? don't view things through the tainted lenses of youth over experience.. Of which that is not even the debate becos omeruo is young |
TheGoodJoe:you are changing the debate please don't... But IMO he would at least be 4th choice cb not playing team b...I asked 3 questions above..can you do us all a favour and attempt to answer so we close the debate? Before it gets stale...I suggest everyone should answer those questions honestly...whoever..omeruo or awaziem..gets majority 2 yes outta the 3 questions wins..its very simple..no point belaboring on the issue.. |
Joebie:Sorry for jumping into your quote, but I am glad to inform your that omeruo has played midfield this season for his team..you do not play midfield if you cannot pass the ball..so add ball playing defender to his attributes and he becomes an all rounder..just little mistakes here and there..you know rough edges.. Cut the guy some slack..he is our most capped central defender right now..most experienced central defender in the national team..longest serving central defender in the national..most successful central defender right now..*afcon* if not for injury and little errors ekong and balogun wouldn't have been ahead of him. That we are even having this debate na falling hand for omeruo. |
forgiveness:zambia away omeruo started at cb..rb..ever since...but since we have ebuehi and shehu..I do not think he is in contention for the rb slot..cb...its him against awaziem...if he loses his spot against awaziem in the absence of balogun then that means he is declining and personally I do not see that..not yet |
Mujtahida:Nice reply but please can you answer the 3 questions separately let us see which u gave a yes? |
safarigirl:hhahhahhahahhaha...safarigirl you nor go kill me with laugh...hahhahhahahhahhhahhaha..he get some kain positions wey the new fire go need learn to take..if u bring the old one come now no stress he go deliver but the new fire need time to learn d pattern....*covers face* chai |
Mujtahida:whether you are a young player or experienced you only take to the pitch if you are better than the guy you are benching nd/or if the coach trusts you to deliver with regards to tactics and game plan..this is what nacho currently lacks at city ..he is not better than those ahead of him nd doesnt fit in tactically with pep hence no trust..now my question is..is awaziem better than omeruo? Does the coach trust him more than omeruo? Can he deliver tactically nd implement the game plan better than omeruo against sa? If 2 out of those 3 questions gives a yes then he will start else he won't.. cc. Sir Icons4s, TheGoodJoe, forgiveness |
Humility017:Ever heard of the word consistency? When ikeme was injured akpeyi started. He is our second choice..whether you agree or not..right now alampasu is even our 4th choice goalkeeper and barring a miracle I do not even see him in russia..u are here calling for him to start...common biscuit friendly he didn't start. He plays in the Portuguese 3rd division abi? He is no buffon if he was a bigger club would have picked him up..give the youth time..ease them in gently. Nacho is there now because ighalo n ideye forgot the route to goal..if they remembered nacho f9r they sedan bench..#fact...likewise at city..there is no way nacho will start ahead of aguero or Gabriel for the lone striker spot...Now did u hear gabriel..yes gabriel is the starting striker for brazil..brazil..he is a class above nacho..nd I am nachos super fan..he will need to go to a club where he is trusted enough to start and get minutes nd build...people seem to forget that even mbappe wasn't a starter at the beginning of last season. Germain was..and if monaco played a lone striker falcao will get the nod..so mbappe as a 3rd choice striker in a 2striker system had hope compared to nacho as 3rd striker in a lone striker system...now back to the omeruo debate..awaziem is 4th choice back..balogun has been keeping omeruo on the bench now he is injured..omeruo gets the nod...TheGoodJoe says he clamours for the recent and best..and picks awaziem as if omeruo has been standing still at his club while awaziem slugged it out at porto b. |
Icon4s:Very funny like a guy with a new side chick...forget say na old fire wood de catch pass...agu ahead of onazi..abeg I nor fit laugh...omeruo and onazi where not part of that France camp.. The GoodJoe wan drop them..kikikikikiki..ma laugh abeg..if it is so..we will never have a starting 11 na...everytime we play we use the latest shining new toy! No pun intended... |
tbaba1234:If he was ready he would not be drafted back to team B..he was not ready..#fact..imagine drafting a young ramos or maldini back to team B..awaziem is not a ramos or maldini yet.. infact for the sake of our nt I pray he becomes. I am not against him..like I said earlier I would not be surprised if he starts but I just don't think he would..it is like saying you expect maroof yusuf to start ahead of echeijile..not gonna happen.. He just de come he go sedan watch senior boys abeg..na so we been de do m for street soccer that year for waffi..hope u get the sacarsm.. |
