Jobs/Vacancies › Re: JOYS OF 2.2 Graduates by eterisan(m): 7:44pm On Jul 16, 2016 |
Nuges11: It's becoming a disturbing trend how people talk down on first class and 2:1 graduates just to justify their own lesser grades. What is even more disturbing is the OP's conclusion that 2:1 graduates will end up "at most" as CEOs in companies set up by 2:2 students. Nothing is farther from the truth if you ask me, and I seriously pity undergraduates who would read this and see it as an encouragement to become less aggressive with their studies. As a matter of fact, if this post encourages you at all then you really need to start re-evaluating your life.
Your encouragement as a 2:2 graduate should NOT come from the half-truth that 1st class and 2:1 graduates don't deserve their grades and barely measure up intellectually. They paid their dues, whatever it was. If they end up not successful in life, it is not because they had a first class or 2:1, in fact they might have been worse off with a 2:2. So my dear 2:2 graduates, your drive should be the desire to prove to yourself that you're better than what your grade says about you, not that people with better grades would most likely end up miserable. I couldn't have said it better. The fact remains 1st class n 2.1 graduates are better and smatter than their mates while in school. There is a reason for grades people. Note: I said better while in school. The real world is a different ball game entirely though and one has to measure up no matter what you graduate with. Whatever you do, do it well. @ op you own a law firm right and I presume you manage it well. That makes you a 1st class or 2.1 (above average) entrepreneur. Stop this hating on 1st class or 2.1 graduates abeg. They are simply better while in school. |

Explorers: This is also a picture of a stunt man with raised/trained crocodile. But one day, the show turned bad when he put his arm in the croc's mouth, bite the arm, performed death roll, and tore off the arm. Go to youtube, search "animals attack human" you will see videos of lions, tigers, dogs attacking and injuring their trainers. What you don't understand is, animals tails are sensitive. You don't apply pressure or pull them with their tail even if you raised them, its dangerous. If you have a dog at home, you try it and see the response, then imagine pulling a tiger's tail.
You can still correct me bro. It doesn't change the fact that u are referring to a MONK as a foolish person. Try doing that to a pastor or an imam and see the response u will get. Peace be upon you! Namaste! |

Good evening everyone. I troway salute... I know this hairstyle thing is almost done but i will drop my take on it. I completely understand both points of view. The moralist and the whatever point. Both are right and wrong depending on the angle you are coming from. In this case though i would certainly prefer u 17 players keeping it down for now. @supernerd i know you don't like people singing you high praises but damn it man.. Ure so on point.. If you de knack beer i go giv u one crate anytime u show warri city! Lolz.. On a more serious note. I like your style and composure unlike the other venomous commenter. Yes it is a straight up attack. And i will not stop until certain persons learn how to behave in public. Calling someone you don't know stewpid is crossing the line and the lowest of lows. Just because him express him opinion. Isn't that why we are on nairaland? To express opinions on varying topics? She did this in the u 23 thread and after *i treat her fvck up the calm down.. Now she has picked on another innocent man to attack. @safarigirl or olanna yes m calling you out.. You have great ideas and you are exceptional but please it is now a common occurence in all the threads you are from u 20 to u23 to super eagles to u 17 that u start up fights and throw tantrums at people. It is totally unnecessary. As my mama said if u de waka for bush na who de look corner they see shiit.. I need ask her what if the shiit de stare at our face for center of the road. #APC Change |

tbaba1234: This team is strange... Osimhen is an exceptional striker... From what i saw from the game yesterday these boys are well drilled. They play to the instruction of the coach. They kept the shape of the team for 90+ mins only loosing the solidity once when chukwueze broke away and his square pass was intercepted. For all the raves i think this was key to beating brazil. Keep the shape and defensive solidity and hit them on the break with speed.. The only players i can call out for criticism is ikwu and funsho.. Ikwu is prone to the odd mistake. Saw that twice in the game. @ supernerd correct me if i am wrong ikwu was the one that lost the ball for Croatians second goal ryt? Then funsho will soon turn to a balotelli. Good player but crazy with unnecessary bookings. On the brighter side all the fuss is about nwakali and osimhen. Plz lets give enogela some credit. That guy is a power horse and willing runner. I think he compliments nwakali very well. Kingsley michael is another one. Not so great as a traditional AM but his pressing game is superb. He ran himself into the ground yesterday. If akpan doesn't win golden glove and bronze ball then its cheating. The boy is a flying..... Flying what i go use? Monkey doesn't sound nice.. But hey guys u get the point don't u? *SMILES* |

TheSuperNerd: Wrong answer Sir........ *smiles*
He asked for the last u-17 (UAE 2013).
Ok... Here, lemme help u..... I know of Kennedy of Brazil (Chelsea), Nathan of Brazil (Vitesse Arnhem, loaned from Chelsea), Alen Halilovic of Croatia (Fc Barcelona). But, like seriously, do u know any oda? Where is Valmir Berisha of Sweden??
Nigerian players are simply making the "biggest progress" so far from the whole class of UAE 2013 for all teams......... And so shall the Nigerian class of 2015.
Bro, understand this..... A new ERA IN NIGERIA WAS BORN IN 2013 AND SUBSEQUENT EDITIONS (2015, 2017, 2019 and beyond) will experience a massive continuous outflux of Top talents from Nigeria going on to the "big leagues"..........
Honestly, like one "ENGLISH ANALYST" SAID SOME DAYS AGO IN MANCHESTER, "THE FUTURE OF WORLD SOCCER BELONGS TO NIGERIAN FOOTBALLERS......."
So many outstanding talents from Nigeria are coming through and making the moves to the "big leagues".......... E.g. Nacho (man city), Yahaya (Tottenham), Awoniyi (Liverpool), Chidera Ezeh(Fc Porto), Isaac Success (Granada, la liga), Moses Simon(KAA Gent, UCL campaigner), Wilfred Ndidi (KRC Genk), etc, etc, etc......
The Malians also seem to have an interesting pool of talents they can build on (adama traore-- mvp @ 2015 fifa u-20 wc, some frm this current u-17 team-- Haidara, Koita, Aly malle, boubacar traore and Fofana) BUT can't compare to Nigeria in terms of "SUPER ABUNDANCE" OF TOP-QUALITY SUPER TALENTS (produced so far since 2013----even the class of 2009 is there----and still being produced and bound to go on as years turn into decades and more) THAT CAN GO ON AND STAND THEIR OWN IN THE BIG LEAGUES OR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL.......
Like I said, it's a new era and NIGERIA IS LEADING THE WAY........ *Big Smiles* thank you @ super nerd...that uae set seem to be making raves @ the moment.. Hope uve not 4goten our captain.. He is in one club in turkey with a long name... Wey end with..... Por.... Lolz.. The key to any young player's devt is the deal he gets after the tournament. Ok imagine that our left back.. Wats his name again sef... Okon or smtn... Where is he now.. What about akinjide idowu he is a good player but hasn't gotten a good deal.. Remember alfa? He bossed the midfield then.. But do u still hear of him? The club a young players signs for after exposure in a major tournament is key. Unlucky for us Africans we don't always get the best deals.. South americans and Europeans do.. This may just be the reason they dominate world football.. Naija we are on our way though |
