Opoks abeg, your own don do jare, leave the young man (Kuwena) and let him feel free to express himself, you should try and get yourself a "LIFE" and stop rubbishing another man's dream, this should be a free thread where anyone can express him/herself without fear of "Opoks" and his synical views, It's his choice to leave naija and its your choice to remain in Glo, so let it be, abeg!!! Your own too much jare,

Skeelo and Kenosky, una welllll wink

i am aware that it is not only engrs that will be in bonny but we are resuming slightly ahead of the others as a result of the plant induction.
thanks for the clarification

@aho
what i mean is that the engrs going to bonny are staff from that day though they may be paid at the end of janaury like everyopne else
@Biolabee

Point of correction, as stated earlier by Kenosky, non-engineers that are Bonny-bound are scheduled for the plant induction as well, so you are not resuming slightly ahead of "others" grin, the plant induction is scheduled for guyz that have been posted to Production unit which comprises of Engineering, Technology and so on

@ JohnsonLaw

I think we are expected to resume in lag on Jan 7 for a one-week induction b4 we are whisked to Bonny. But you can call their office or ask them when you go there to drop your acceptance letter,

morning all
Hope the week has been ok
Seems tombri is handling the transition nicely
I got a call too to come with myintl passport and 16 pix
very funny without a substantive offer from them.

What do you guys think?
My guess is that we would be presented with the offer letter on Monday.

wandel:
@ everyone

Good morning!

Just wanted to confirm; it seems engineers are the peeps getting letters now. Confirmed with two of my other friends in the management sciences and they say they hadnt received.

Will call today anyway because if possible, I would prefer to simply collect the letter by hand because I am scared it might go somewhere funny.

@opoks, morning and thanks for the call yesterday

Have a great day
You are right, only Engineers & Scientists (Bonny-bound) have been contacted for Monday. My guess is that other guyz that have not been contacted (non-engineers) would most likely be in Lagos office.

Please don't ask me where I got my info from wink 89 people made the final list and have already been invited for medicals, there is a possibility of a waiting list as earlier speculated by other guyz on the thread, which may be called upon if some guyz turn down the offer or if NLNG decides to take on more people, the induction date has not been fixed and NLNG is carrying out certificate verification of the 89 peeps @ the moment, thats all d info I've got!!!! lipsrsealed

As earlier suggested by Wandel, NLNG hopefuls could call NLNG office to know their fate, who knows, you may just be lucky.

All the best!!!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Lng Recruitment Excercise:when? by euphoria: 2:48pm On Nov 19, 2007
It's likely to be in 4 years time because the one before the on-going exercise happened in 2003, all the best!!!

opoks,

If I remember correctly, the thread was about Plan B at the time I posted my suggestion, so I was not in any way prompting d first class grads 2 leave NLNG for MSc, but I believe its better than option than working in a bank, especially when ones course of study has nothing to do wit financial services.

About US, its a known fact that its easier to get into UK than US and I'm not saying its impossible to get into a good school in the US. I implore the first class grads to consider the option of goinig for their masters in a good school in Jand on full scholarsip (which is almost automatic for them) than settling for banks or telecoms which was never in their career plan. You guyz can check scholarships like DFID, British chevening, British council, PTDF, Esso and others.

All the best!!!

opoks,

It's very mush easier to join any of the top Oil & Gas companies in naija with a masters from abroad. A good example is Shell; with an MSc from abroad, you join the company without going through SITP. Also, Total and the rest of them usually organise Recruitment fairs every year to bring naija grads back home. They usually get the offer from there and I have a couple of examples. Some are even lucky to get offers there and remain abroad. Anyway, I guess the price is worth it since the essence is to get good "pepper",
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by euphoria: 3:04pm On Sep 27, 2007
For those with first class, I congratulate all of u!!! But I sincerely think u've got better options than most of us, pls, apply to post-grad schools in UK fro DFID scholarship and other available ones, its almost automatic for a first class grad from a naija school to get a full scholarship in Jand schools.

For yankee schools, the hurdles are a bit to much, To get an admission, you need a good degree, good GMAT/GRE score and to get a visa, you need to prove you can sponsor yourself outside any sort of scholarship you've got (its still no guarantee).

All d best!!!
