Politics › Re: “IF I WIN, You All Will Leave America” Donald Trump Tells Nigerians. by euroboy95: 2:08pm On Jan 17, 2016 |
mohince: A merican Billionaire and Republican Presidential Front- runner, Donald Trump, has shot a subtle warning to the Nigerian Community in the United States, after he said all Nigerians would be made to leave the country “when he becomes President”. He made the “threat” during a rally at Wichita, Kansas. According to Donald Trump, Nigerians ad Mexicans have taken all the jobs meant for honest hard working Americans. “To Make America great again, we need to rid of the Muslims, Mexicans and the Africans, especially the Nigerians. They take all our jobs, jobs meant for honest hard working Americans, and when we don’t give them the jobs, the Muslims blow us up” , Trump said.
“We need to get the Africans out. Not the blacks, the Africans. Especially the Nigerians. They’re everywhere. I went for a rally in Alaska and met just one African in the entire state. Where was he from? Nigeria! He’s in Alaska taking our jobs. They’re in Houston taking our jobs. Why can’t they stay in their own country? Why? I’ll tell you why. Because they are corrupt. Their Governments are so corrupt, they rob the people blind and bring it all here to spend. And their people run away and come down here and take our jobs! We can’t have that! If I become president, we’ll send them all home. We’ll build a wall at the Atlantic Shore. Then maybe we’ll re-colonize them because obviously they did not learn a damn thing from the British!”
His speech was met with raucous applause by the 10,000 strong predominantly Caucasian audience. What this portends for Nigeria in the event of the Trump victory is still unclear, but the Nigerian Ambassador to the US has so far allayed fears of all Nigerians living in the USA, although we gather he has secretly packed his bags and is set to move to Mexico or Canada if Trump becomes President.

babyisUS: If he spent so much money on visa procurement and flight ticket, why didn't he use such money to go into any small business in Nigeria, where he is already used to the environment, than paying such an amount of money to go to a land of uncertainties? It's a pity that these days, people see honesty as hate or bad belle or "talking rubbish"... we talk of corrupt leaders and how to change Nigeria, what about we start from changing the way we are and the way we think?? Only a lazy Nigerian would use illegal means of survival as an excuse to justify the hardship he's facing in Nigeria. Infact, those who live outside Nigeria, are the ones in a better position to fully explain to the OP,the risks involved in this journey of uncertainty he's about to embark on. to use the money and start small scale business name the business please? Dangote of our time my foot.the way you talk seems like your still spoon feed by parents, you ever ask yourself about the harsh government policies this days pertaining to business,do you know that most importers are now crying because of the way government is handling things.Do you know that the number of unemployed graduates in this country is alarming that do all sorts of that your small scale business.we all know that abroad is not easy, but its easier their to have acess to cash not by illegal means but by legal because you can engage in some kind of jobs to feed pay house rent and save,I once lived out side the country and experience is the best teacher.one thing you must understand is that not everyone will make it in nigeria, same thing abroad.so it all lies to your ability, endurance, information and risk to sucess and how lucky you are with your god.so mr too much hussle or small scale business may or may not make you suceed in life. |

justwise: If there is one person here talking rubbish is you. My mum and all elder brothers and sisters are still living in Nigeria and I visited Nigeria last March. I have other family members who made their millions right there in Nigeria. Only one of them came to the UK for studies sponsored by his company and went back at the end, the rest studied and got their jobs in Nigeria.
If you think that coming to Europe to fraudulently look for paper is the answer then you are more naive than you can imagine.
Pray to God indeed while at the same time committing crime. mr man are you his god? Must every one make it in nigeria? Do you know whether Op future lie in abroad.if nigeria is all that good and can matchup with first world status then come back here,I know some one like you would be flying with a foreign passport that's not our green passport that's disgrace,I will never forget the insult I receive at santiago airport in chile because of my identity even at turks and cacoise island, and your here preaching nigeria and your family balalala may be your family is among those shearing the ill gotten loot from the public fund meant for the poor masses.Nigeria as a country is in coma for years after independence waiting to be pronounced dead.government after government its getting worst and your hear preaching for the youngman that got opportunity not to go and try his luck, see Mr justwise just mind the way you adress some questions here because your not really matured and groomed for that,I expect you to tell the young man avenues to legalise his stay over their at europe when he comes with tourist visa, not to come and discourage him. That's one problem with we africans especilly nigerians we find it very hard to help our brothers in need genuinelly. The way indians and especailly chinese co operate marvels me a lot that's why they are far more ahead of us africans(nigeria). |

God will surelly bless you for this comment, people are here talking all sorts of rubbish because they are not in nigeria to fill the harshness of the economy and the entire socail political sphere of the country.those against his travelling to europe do you know how much he must have spent to get the visa and flight ticket, and your hear advising him to go and come back to this useless and wicked country that does not know the value of human life,we are just living like in the state of nature in this country without basic fundamental human rights.bro if you travel to europe, find any possible means to legalise your stay(papers)over their.God in haven will surelly make a way for you in europe, believe and pray always. claremont: No difference between both issues, the common theme among them is that one party needs a visa and the other party requires love. On the issue of the sustenance of the marriage, statistics show that 50% or more of the 'legitimate' marriages in the West end in divorce or separation anyway, so this is no different.
Not entirely true. I have been privileged to have background information about the FFL. Djibouti is only one of their several bases, and legionnaires who get posted there are actually paid more than those based in France. In addition, every legionnaire is given options to choose from after training, so saying that many will end up in Djibouti is just being plain ignorant. I know this because I used to inter-operate with the French and American airborne in a previous life.
You think he hasn't considered these options. Someone who has already secured a valid visa, and came to a social networking thread to seek advice must have already considered all these options. My focus is to provide him with legitimate options to legalize his stay when he gets to Europe, I find it disingenuous that people who do not even reside in Nigeria are advising him to remain in Nigeria. We should be joining hands together to give him as many options as available in Europe, not telling him to remain in Nigeria. |

Thanks bro you really explicited how things are done and works over there.but bro if someone wants to do business over their, what kind of business would you recommend and the capital to start such business, and what kind of study centre do you recommend that will be easy for me to fix my papers.bro can you secure a good job their with nigerian bsc.how much is the cost of good shirt and polo with jeans and shoe over their.thanks so much wip7: First, language will be a major problem that will limit many things for you in Turkey. Depends on the region of Turkey you will be living, some see many blacks as footballer and they will mostly ask you where you come from. If you say Nigeria, they will immediately say Okocha...Many of the locals dont know the difference between Nigeria and Africa, they mostly thought/think Africa is a country where black people live. Some even think Lagos is the only place in Nigeria, while others think Lagos and Nigeria are two countries.
Most popular cities you will find Nigerian are Istanbul, Ankara, Marmara and Izmir!
Living expenses is relatively lower as compared to many European countries, Americas and some Asian countries but sensibly higher than almost all African countries. For instance, a plate of normal food may range between 800 to 3000 naira and a 50 cent litre water goes between 80 to 150 naira depends on brand and location within Turkey. Decent room will range 25k to 50K naira per month excluding bills and with residence card you can easily get cheap payment option for metro and trains.
Wages is lower compared to many European countries but commensurate with the living Expense in Turkey generally. Casual jobs (construction, restaurants, loader, farms etc) pay between 2500 to 4500 naira per day ( these are extremely hard labour and in some cases would require a work permit), while some teaching jobs like those in teaching centers, normal workers in bank, telecom and other organization earn much higher but may require you to have sufficient language knowledge and skills in these region. If you have permanent job teaching in university in Turkey, the wages is quite good and you can apply for Turkish blue passport that allows visa free travel to European and Schengen countries. The normal passport is Red which requires visa to some European and Schengen countries but permanent academics do have access to get blue passport which is visa free to those mentioned earlier. To be employed as permanent Academics, you must in most cases have earned PhD in any field...
Residency Permit types:, there are various permit and note that residence permit does not allow working rights, you must obtain work permit to be considered legal and suitable to work. The work permit application are mostly submitted by the employer on behalf of the employee and you will undergo some medical test and present some credentials. To live legally in Turkey, you have to apply for either short-term residence (up to 1yr), student, family or Long-term residence permit. Each has its own requirements that needs to be met.
In your own case, you may apply for short-term residence permit and must be able to show financial means for the duration you want to apply for, proof of accommodation and be able to convince or show reason why you want to obtain the residence permit. If you decide to enroll into a university or study center, those will provide you student letter and makes the application easier. These applications can be done manually or via online system.
Racism yeah it happens all places and common in countries that their official language is different from yours and in most culture-enshrined and superstitious countries and environments. Racism comes in different forms and scale, you may have to live with it, understand it, proffer solution to it or let go. For instance, lots of Nigerian are racist as some Fulani will kill Igbo cos of cow, some Igbo will not want their daughter or son marry Yoruba cos of Amala and even some Yoruba wont allow marriage of a guy from Kwara to Ijebu due to witch-hunting and some Middle belt people wont eat your food cos you are Muslim while some Igbos wont hug you cos you are not Catholic christian. These may sound like tribal/ethnic stuffs but they are form of racism. So, in Turkey some will hate you cos of your skin, some cos your brother already duped one person or because you speak English and they cant understand. It happens in England, Russia and America as well....so learn to deal with it since it happens in South Africa and Nigeria also.
Hustling (as you termed it) in Turkey, may be difficult if you dont have money for business, rents, legal residence, basic communication skills etc. Cos since wages are low, you may only earn little that can take care of your daily needs. Other things people do their are fraud, drugs and scams; these ones are quick to send you to jail and enhance your death.
Note: Exchange rate of 72 N to TL was taken as conversion rate at the moment of this publication and what is written is my personal opinion culminated from personal experience, knowledge and independent research! |
