Hi Guys, pls my Samsung S4 active suddenly started showing horizontal lines on the screen,the brightness is dim and it sometimes flickers. Abeg engineer make una help me oooo.

Economic Geology is not not limited to Solid minerals alone, but within the Nigerian context, it is mainly attached with it. You best bet is to get into academics or prefarably look overseas. If Economic Geology really catches your fancy, I will suggest you look towards Finland, Germany and possibly Canada. If you graduate with a good GPA, you will sure get funding in Finland and Canada.

If you are still in school, I will implore you to look at other specialisations you have affinity for. Like some posters above have rightly said, it is really difficult kick-starting a geoscience career in Nigeria, but with determination, dedication, and luck, one will definitely get in - wether the Oil industry or Solid mineral sector.

I have friends who are making head way with geophysical survey and borehole drilling. One thing with this is that you have to justle for contracts. This is one field that some graduates of geoscience are self practicing within Geoscience.

Thanks man , I'm trying to weigh my options,the oil sector in Nigeria is too competitive. Moreover,Petroleum geology is part of economic geology.
You sound like you are already working, abeg tell us your experience in the oil sector.
