Neymar was named alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on the three-man shortlist for the Best FIFA Men’s Player Award, which was announced in London on Friday.

Brazil superstar Neymar, 25, won the Copa del Rey with Barcelona last season before joining Paris Saint-Germain in a blockbuster 222 million euros ($266 million) move that smashed the world transfer record.

Ronaldo, 32, is the overwhelming favourite to win the award, having led Real Madrid to the La Liga title and a third Champions League success in four years last season.

He won last year’s award after winning the Champions League with Madrid and the European Championship with Portugal.

Ronaldo previously won the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2008 and is a four-time winner of the Ballon d’Or.

Messi, 30, scored 54 goals last season as Barcelona won the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.

The Argentina great, a record five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or, has made a superb start to the current campaign, scoring 12 goals in his first eight appearances in all competitions.

Ronaldo won the inaugural Best FIFA Men’s Player Award last year after a six-year merger between the FIFA honour and the Ballon d’Or.

The shortlist for the Best FIFA Women’s Player award comprises Venezeula’s Deyna Castellanos, Carli Lloyd of the United States and Dutch player Lieke Martens.

Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane goes head to head with Chelsea’s Antonio Conte and Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri for the top coach award.

Veteran Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is shortlisted for the Best FIFA Goalkeeper prize alongside Keylor Navas of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer.

The winner of the 2017 awards will be announced during a ceremony at the London Palladium on October 23.

The voting for the award, equally weighted between national team captains, national team coaches, media and fans, closed earlier this month.

The President, Muhammadu Buhari has left New York for the United Kingdom.

Buhari left New York on Thursday where he attended the 72nd United Nations General Assembly meeting.

The President on Tuesday addressed the gathering of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.

He pledged Nigeria’s solidarity to the United Nations and solicited the support of the international community in tackling global challenges.

In his address, the President called on the international community came together to focus on the need for gender equality, youth empowerment, social inclusion, and the promotion of education, creativity, and innovation. The frontiers of good governance, democracy including holding free and fair elections, and enthronement of the rule of law are expanding everywhere, especially in Africa.

“Our faith in democracy remains firm and unshaken. Our regional organisation ECOWAS came together to uphold democratic principles in The Gambia – as we had done previously in Cote D’Ivoire.

“Through our individual national efforts, state institutions are being strengthened to promote accountability, and to combat corruption and asset recovery. These can only be achieved through the international community cooperating and providing critical assistance and material support. We shall also cooperate in addressing the growing transnational crimes such as forced labour, modern-day slavery, human trafficking, and cybercrime”.

The President was one of the African Leaders that had lunch with US President, Donald Trump and also held meetings with the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Gueterres and King Abdullah II of Jordan.

Hello! House I got admission some 2 years ago to computer sci;I only paid the acceptance fee of #6000 then and didn't register any course due to financial constraints. Though I was given a matric number and I tried using it to login to the portal which isn't fruitful. Many are too mentally lazy to exert themselves, they prefer to be spoon-fed by these Ponzi schemes owners. Give them viable business options and watch them shiver like babies catching cold. I however will be dishing out proven strategies that brought me out of my puzzle. If it worked for me, it can work for anyone.

Never thought u would come to the other side of the table. It shows u have a good heart, because many have become bitter loosers, cursing even when the obvious reality is staring in their faces. I look at givers forum and nod my head at the number of their members that called me names just for telling them dat the owners were deceiving them, the incessant calling of God was a source of worry, as God had no business with these schemes.

Don't loose money, remember the parable of the coin, treat every coin in your hands like if you will have to give account of it.

My advice from personal experience. I lost quarter of all i own to a friend i gave a loan. A loan of a week repayment turned 2months ( as at date roughly 1month 2weeks ).
