The problem is i don't know how long it will take to get it back then secondly even if you get it back within 2-3weeks it will still take you a month or more to secure Egypt or Turkey visa. Maybe you should just wait for now and in case if no respond before your school deadline then contact your school and defer your admission to the next intake September.

Pls try contact the vfs and let know wat they are doing about this issue on ground. Let know the best thing to do

Hmmmm i don't think the application done reach Turkey maybe still on hold do to this customs issue.

The little i know about this matter na because this issue is between Nigeria VFS and Turkey embassy. Turkey want Lithuania to use thier EMS in Nigeria to transfer documents to Turkey to treat instead of using Lithuania VFS to transfer to Turkey when Turkey have thier own EMS just like VFS so i guess they haven't settle the matter.

Way forward na to use other route to submit in person either you go through Egypt, South Africa or Turkey. But if you can wait until them resolve the problem that is fine .

The problem i see there is delivery of documents so if you can go there by yourself and submit then after 5-10days they will call to come and pick up your passport at the Lithuania embassy that all....

I submitted in November and I have gotten response (a +ve response so to say).

There is no magic to the process. My application took 8 solid weeks before laying hands on my visa.

Was called for interview 3 weeks after submission.

And it took another one month before getting my passport.

Why will you submit your application through vfs when you have just a month as the school deadline. Initially it do takes about a month and week or even more for vfs to respond to application. But if you have submitted in person using Egypt route it do take just 5days maybe lastest 10 days you will get respond from the embassy

I chatted with vfs global yesterday...I asked why embassy is yet to call people that submitted in December

here are the responses:

:kindly be informed that your application is in transit to the Embassy , it is not under processing at the application center as application are not being processed at VFS rather at the Embassy in Turkey.

:please note that there is a clearance stage it passes through at the customs in Turkey before it reaches the Embassy of Lithuania in Turkey.

: Kindly be informed you will be notified as soon as the application has gotten to the Embassy and if need for an interview, you will be notified. This helpdesk does not have information as regards how long the clearance takes.

Last year when vfs came out new . his already in Lithuania

But of recent now i notice thier processing time have change do to much applicants. They need to be more patient, lots of people use the Turkey embassy. Even Turkish residents as well as nearby countries.

But it will be issued. You still have time so be patient since the school resumption is still ahead and let keep hope the best

Not really. Well i know of a friend that submitted through vfs and the whole process took 1month and a week before his visa was issued although he's going for Masters .

For those that apply through vfs, how will you know if your visa have be approve before your passport will be ready for collection?

That is the main reason i cant use vfs in Nigeria. I will prefer going through Egypt route and submit my application directly to the Lithuania embassy in Egypt.. i guess that shouldn't take up to 2weeks

There are jobs in Lithuania. Most aren't just meant for foreigners. If you are very very skilled in IT and you reside in Vilnius, you are most likely to get a job if you have your TRP handy. Same goes for Kaunas, but the companies in Kaunas do some stereotyping thereby not taking in foreigners (especially third world nationals) as employees. The kinda jobs you can get here if you have the skills is at the international companies like Hostinger, Kayak, Revel Systems, Hella and so on. Most of these companies are based in Vilnius hence why the city has more opportunities than the other counties. If you don't possess any skill, then your options are limited. Probably get a casual work at the minor places like Express Market, LIDL or any other place that you might fit in.

And as for the TRP, it depends on how early you apply for it. It's always ready in between 2-3 months. For example, if you apply for your TRP in October, it is most likely to be ready in the coming January.

P.S: Make sure you come into the country with enough money to sustain yourself for like 7 months. There are no job guarantees as well, you just have to keep searching and applying.

So what life is like for students over there.. i mean after my study, can i be able to work and save like 10,000euro within 2years ?

Early December, the application date was due Dec, 8 but they rejected my admission cos I didn’t pay application fee before then.

Well other schools I’ve previously applied to normally send receipt for payment of application fee, but they didn’t send me any because according to them, payment details was written on their site.

So if you intend to apply, just pay application fee immediately after submitting your application and prepare for a Skype interview too.

I applied for a BSC in Hungary in August, my visa was denied cos I was 30 coupled with the fact that I already have a BSC degree before. They also said even if I haven’t gotten any degree at all, 30 is to much for a BSC degree.

The same thing am worried about if Lithuania won't look at age ...
