Ok..but your recent actions speak otherwise!
Rivers state governor didn't invite jonathan to commission his project, despite being the president then, instead he invited obasanjo, reverse was the case in yours..you invited buhari...maybe someone has to put you through in opposition politics 101.

Politics / Re: Nigeria's Present Economic Struggles: Vital Lessons We All Must Heed by evansvenus(m): 5:09pm On Jan 18, 2016
Nice write dearpreye, i am your fan!
My 2cents

we all keep talking about diversification of the economy, that's pretty cool, but we shouldn't forget that diversification would definately take time to yield result.nigeria economic outlook at the moment is gloomy and we apparently don't have time!

What i think the government should embark on

1.rapid development of our infrastructure, especially power which is pivotal to the development of any nation.nigeria should tap into wind and solar energy,we shouldn't be depending on hydro alone..in saner climes like south africa and taznzania, solar and wind adds thousands of mega watts to thier grids, its cheap and faster

2.Development of SME's is also a contributory factor to the development of any nation,we have an active youth population pegged at over 60million,yet our unemployment rate is growing spirally and exponentially, government should grant soft loans with little or no interest to boost small and medium scale enterprises, this will as well generate thousands of jobs that can get access to the loans, government can prompt beneficiaries of the loan to pay tax if they so please, but make it minimal!

3.Efficiency in our tax system...tho' you might want to disagree with me,but nigeria is one of the less tax countries in the world...britain majorly depends on their tax systems and its working for them, nigeria can key into it,is one of the proponents of income generation of any nation...naija should key into it too.

They are other measures the nigeria n government can take to cushion the effects of global economic downturn, but the aforemention would help on the long run!

GP2015:
just as the question implies.. what lies ahead for an optometry student? How can they get to the point of a normal medical doctor? what will it take to make him a hot cake and also as conspicuous as a normal doctor? what can make him as important as a doctor? I've seen good hints given to people on nairaland, please answers.. what what what?
I need more light pls
salary scale, respect etc..
docs and graduates in the house...

just replied you!
Education / Re: What Lies Ahead For An Optometry Student? by evansvenus(m): 10:27am On Jan 16, 2016
Optometry is a medical course that has itz specialty with treatment of eyes diseases, refracting lens and correcting eye defects through operation, itz a six years course with one year internship making it a cumulative seven years course, youth service exluded
on completion of programe you will be awarded a doctor of optometry(O.D) nt the usual Bsc,making it a break from the norm.
Job opportunities include working in military or para-military organisations, public hospitals or you can go into private practise!

They are in the same league with doctors with a thin difference, while an optometrist have his or her specialty with the eyes,a medical doctor deals with the whole body,it is a nice course, you going to love it.

On the issue with salary scale, they are the same with doctors working in government owned hospitals, though they might be a thin difference due to area of specialization.

Are u satisfied now?not forgetting to add that only few universities offers the course and they are
abia state university(ABSU)
imo state university(IMSU)
university of benin(UNIBEN)

i dnt know if the course is accredited in futo..take care!

Politics / Re: Olisa Metuh Tears EFCC Statement He Made - Premium Times by evansvenus(m): 6:52pm On Jan 12, 2016
I think efcc should charge this man to court, keeping him under the aegis of their enslavement won't ameliorate the situation.

Ist to comment? Just three months after joining nairaland, meanwhile others have been trying to be at my spot for aeons...my vote of thanks goes to all those that are against corruption...and of course mizmycoli and passingshot, they made the join nairaland...im from the eastern heartland,IMO state representing!

Yet the previous administration preached about a cashless society, but they are busy carrying/distributing heavy cash and pressurizing the economy!!
Every entity involved in the looting of our treasury should be shot by firing squad and their family members made to pay for the bullet.
