please I need a sound Auto Electrician around isolo who can diagnose and trouble shoot and solve electrical problem with Mistubish & Volvo. I have a non starting 2001 Volvo V40 1.8GDI. car was working perfectly for almost 4 years that I bought it until it had flat gasket as I notice oil mixing with the coolant in radiator. I drove the car to a new mechanic who happen to be a Volvo specialist. but unfortunately this car has a GDI which is a Japanese technology. they finish gasket quit well and start the car at first and tested it round but car just refuse to start again when I got there to drive it away and for almost a month now bout 3 different Auto Electrician had worked on it. check fuel pump, injector, ECM, FTCM etc all to no avail. now I need to help with getting my beloved car back on the road. Please all useful info will be welcome. thanks.

lofty900:is not Volvo upping their game, it's Nigerians catching up with Volvo offer again. Volvo faded from our market since our Mechos couldn't handle the Technology of the brand so name it problematic. so lots of ppl refuse to buy in nigeria n that's why prices are very low now. |
should he take this as a call to him as interest or what? |
kacchy:that is why it is called "opportunity" it nor everyone that's meant to see, understand or recognize it. it for only ppl with insight, hindsight & foresight. |
See the 1st one that was tested in 2005 and was to be release to the public for use in 2015 but they pend it. new one flys like ellicopter while old one flys like a plane.

nairaland20:It should be called helicoptoy |
nativedoctor:Well Said but a 1.2l GDI Engine with a Bi-Turbo will drive like a 2.0L engine with fuel consuption of a 1.2L and a 1.8L GDI with a Bi-Turbo will pull like a 2.4L engine with fuel economy of a 1.8 engine. Engine manufacturers this days are seriously using fuel economy + high power as a selling point for cars. I drove a Nissan Juke laden with a 1.6L engine recently and couldn't believe the Tuque & Horse Power in the 1.6L GDI, Turbo with a CVVT on the inlet. The car drives like a V6 kind of so i went for engine spec to know whats in there. sure i respect the package. So don't underestimate what this C-HR will offer in the 1.6L engine.

GAZZUZZ:He's gone to buy the S40! lol ![]() |
I notice something recently. It is not just corruption that caused inefficiency in Nigeria The people take pride in avoiding and delaying work. The people don't value time just because they can see it. In an Efficient environment, It is a Shame to delay your work OR Not to do it at all. I have notice that people sit in their office and collect Salaries for the a job and Still Expect the people they are Serve to give them TIPS before the job is done. e.g. PHCN official expect bribe to issue meter, reconnect wire that he disconnected after payment of bill An Engineer expect Tips before signing off your document for payment on a completed job A Public Office Holder holds you ransom for bribe before releasing Funds for a Public Service Jobs like road/gutter repair An office assistant looks you with cornered eye for tips and if you don't cooperate your documents gets forgotten under the desk till Jesus comes NO SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE SALARY THEY EARN FOR THE JOB. God help Us, we just need to change this attitude of laxity. |
Ok if u can drop it here I don't mindok, here we go 08090804656 |

@Op, The S40 2004 to 2007 is a sleek smart car laden with a 5cly Engines of different option. I use Volvo and I Sell Volvo Cars. The only note I will like to make is, if this is your first car, then better step down to a 2003 S40 2.0 Turbo for now to start with. When you are in Love with The Swedish Machine, step up to S40 2004-2007 or better still S60 2002-2006. But this Man that is telling you to use Volvo money to buy Benz/BMW no like you ooo, because for price they no be mate. Pls just do little market survey for urself and see what price difference they have. Thanks |

Most Nigerian don't consider this issue as important. They just put fuel in car and drive, when its empty they go fill another. Any way, 1. My Volvo V40 1.8 GDI 2001 model (odometer 209985km) Make 78km per 10litres (city driving without AC) 112km per 10litres (highway driving without AC) 2. KIA Rio LS 1.6 Deoh 2002 model (odometer 153500km) 95km per 10litres (city driving with AC) 120km per 10litres (highway driving with AC) This is average consumption, considering so many trips. |
IjogzK:I was doing some Automobile research in 2012 when i stumble upon some facts about Volvo. I became interested in the car so I did more research and find more to be True. Volvo don't make cheap cars, they take time to make solid engineered cars They put in all the sophistication, Ruggedity, Luxury, Safety and Durability, in doing these they end up having complex vehicles. I Love Volvo, because they don't compromise on quality, and you get value for the money you pay, Volvo hardly have fake parts. No one steals your Volvo car because the market is not readily available to sell them. From 2014 feb till now, I have sold more than 6 Volvo to people, I also sold my 2006 Honda civic to buy a 2003 V40 that I have being rocking since 2014 july till now. No Regret. Ask people who has a Volvo, No One Drives a Volvo and Want to drop it for other cars. you dont buy a Volvo and waste money on security/anti-theft, Volvo is unstealable, except it is snatched no one steals/removes parts to resell because parts are very cheap in the market its a car in its own class, not a pure water brand, When buying Volvo on second hand it is very cheap also( you buy a car for 800k and people rates it for 1.5m (prestige). VOLVO FOR LIFE!!! Imagine this S60 I sold for Just 850k, I also do after sales support for most of my Customers, some I just direct them to Daleko for Parts and Mechanics. Try a Volvo nd You will never regret!

Volvo is just a Machine too amazing. Volvo all the way. Feel the S90 Wagon/Estate Car. Penetrate the air like a bullet with powerful ground hugging stance. Pull frm 0-100km/h within 5second. U'll love it.The peak of the engine range is the T8 plug-in hybrid system. Producing 395hp thanks to a combination of a 2.0-litre petrol engine and electric motor, power is distributed among all four wheels. In the XC90, this system achieves 134.5mpg under official testing conditions, so expect superior figures in the sleeker saloon body. It’s claimed to get from 0 to 60mph in just over 5 seconds too, so the hybrid is the S90 to pick if you prioritise acceleration

For Powerful Ride Lovers, check this out. New Volvo S90 and V90 Series for 2016 Volvo has released official images of the S90 ahead of its full unveiling at the Detroit Motor show in January 2017. The Swedish firm is currently on a roll since releasing the XC90 in early 2015, but the brand intends this new flagship model to offer a left-field alternative to executive saloons such as the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class. Volvo S90 styling From the outside, the S90 is intended to look graceful and flowing, in contrast to the more aggressive look of many rivals. Details like the ‘Thor’s Hammer’ LED headlight graphics and wide front grille are reminiscent of the XC90, and to our eyes it transfers well onto a longer, lower saloon car. As Thomas Ingenlath, Senior Vice President Design at Volvo Car Group states, the S90 is designed to “bring something entirely new to this rather conservative segment and deliver a visual expression that exudes leadership and confidence.” In addition to the saloon model, an estate variant called the V90 is also likely. Volvo S90 Interior The S90 seems to take heavier inspiration from the XC90 inside – no bad thing, because the seven-seat SUV’s dash is one of the most attractive on the market. A large touchscreen infotainment system remains the focal point of the dash, while wide swathes of wood trim flank it from both sides. The overwhelming majority of surfaces are trimmed in either natural-feeling leather or wood, and you even get charming Swedish flag labels stitched into the edges of the seats. Volvo S90 Driving Under the skin, the S90 is set to share many mechanical components with the XC90. Riding on a modified version of the same platform, the suspension design is set to keep a similar multi-link system at the front and composite leaf springs at the rear. There is a chance, however, that it will feature a firmer set up to compete with some of the more sporty models available in this sector. It’s likely that an air suspension setup will be offered too, lending the S90 a silky smooth ride. Volvo S90 Engines The peak of the engine range will be the T8 plug-in hybrid system. Producing 395hp thanks to a combination of a 2.0-litre petrol engine and electric motor, power is distributed among all four wheels. In the XC90, this system achieves 134.5mpg under official testing conditions, so expect superior figures in the sleeker saloon body. It’s claimed to get from 0 to 60mph in just over 5 seconds too, so the hybrid is the S90 to pick if you prioritise acceleration. It is likely to be joined by the same petrol and diesel options found lower down in the XC90 range, though these are likely to be front-wheel drive only. Volvo S90 Safety Being a Volvo, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to discover that it is set to be loaded with the latest safety technology. Set to feature the latest version of the firm’s Drive Assist, it will enable the S90 to drive semi-autonomously, by gently steering the car to keep it between lines on the motorway. It no longer need to rely on the car ahead to maintain the correct trajectory, making the system more useful more of the time. New tech set to debut on the S90 includes Large Animal Detection. This remains on the lookout for horses, elk or moose, and can automatically brake if a collision is imminent. Volvo S90 Prices and Release Date. Volvo isn’t intending to overtake the BMW 5 Series for sales – its target of 2,000 UK units per year is about a fifth of what BMW manages – but expect it to be priced similarly. Entry-level models should start from around £30-35,000, with top spec versions of the Hybrid creeping closer to £70,000. We expect the S90 to go on sale in the UK in late 2016, with the first cars arriving in the middle of the year. Volvo V90 Revealed Thanks to a slip up by Volvo, Swedish magazine Teknikens Varld managed to get an early look at the S90 in its estate guise – the V90. Volvo estates have historically been more sought after than the brand’s saloons so this is expected to be a bigger seller when it arrives. It’ll use exactly the same range of engines as the S90 but will offer enhanced cargo space thanks to the more accommodating ‘two-box’ design compared to the saloon’s ‘three-box’ one. The rear screen is still quite raked compared some rival estates meaning Volvo might’ve elected to prioritise style over maximum boot capacity. Some critics have complained about the shape of the S90’s taillights but, thanks to the new bumper and bootlid, the lights now flank the rear windscreen – echoing Volvos of old.

If you Learn with Manual Gear, You will be able to drive any other vehicle without being thought. If you learn with Auto Drive, You will need another Teacher the day all you could get is a manual gear car. Because computer do gear selections in an automatic car so you don't need to bother about what gear to use for different speed. Just accelerate to move and apply break to stop. For manual gear cars, the Driver decides what gear to use for what speed and can do some stunt with this flexibility, also if your break fails on high speed with a manual gear, you can down shift to slow the can and pull to stop with gear one. |
Hope you have got the car of your choice by now. I am opportune to have driven both new cars and old cars. I have bought and drive my own Nigeria use car, tokunbo car and also have the opportunity to drive company brand new car. Here is my experience in brief. Nigeria Use Cars= you go to mechanic almost every time for one repair or the other, vehicle may last a life time with maintenance. Tokunbo Vehicles= You also go to frequent mechanic but less to that of Nigeria used, part will be failing one after the other and at one point or the other you will be replacing/repairing parts. New Cars= You may not replace any part in 2 years, car will always start and go, with no fear of stop and quench for 3years, no matter how weak and fragile the car is, it will serve you for minimum of 3 years with just service and go your way. But know this, body will be very weak, accessories will be weak also, options will be limited, car will be like x3of the cost of same car that is tokunbo. and at the end of that 3 years, you are at the same point as if you just bought a used car and you will start visiting mechanics with the car almost every month also. This illustration is base on my experience on the following vehicles. Nissan Premera=Nigeria Used, Mazda626=Nija Used, KiaRio LS= Nija Used, Honda Civic2006 Tokunbo, Volvo S40=Tokunbo, GreatWall Pick-up=Brand New, KiaRio EX=Brand New, Corolla=Brand New. Make your choice |

Some ppl cheat cos they are not been satisfied by their wify |
Am a Volvo enthusiast, ever since I discover that Volvo cars ares are the safest car you could ever drive. The least of Volvo car comes with all the safety of an executive car with the price of a small car still. also a yr 2000 model Volvo had the technology of a 2008 model of Toyota nd Honda. The Technology they employed in auto making since 1990s are still be researched by other auto makers like kia, toyota, honed etc. Volvo cars can be liken to vehicles like BMW, Benz etc when you talk about Comfort, Stability, Technology, Ruggedity, Durability, Design. Most of all it comes at a cheaper rate and low cost of maintenance. I use a V40 2000yr 1.8l GDI engine. am enjoying every bit of it |
chucky234: because they are very simple cars.well I have seen a VOLVO car with 400000+ mileage still sound. if you take care of your car well it could last a life time. I mean good cars like Benz, BMW, Volvo, Ford and the likes |

Also by the tim u get the sam options u got in a Volvo in a jap car you would be paying double the price. I sell cars and have used at least 7 cars in ♍γ̲̣̣̥ life. I LOVE ♍γ̲̣̣̥ VOLVO and I sell more of Volvo now. Interested in a V or S40 contact me on 08181327694 fr inspectn

omodasolamary:NOT TRUE!!! I was once invited and based on the nature of ♍γ̲̣̣̥ present job and ♍γ̲̣̣̥ adventurous personality. I waited till the end. At a time it all sound too sweet 2 b true so I was doubting their veracity. Never had anyting to pay I approched one of the speakers for way forward nd he took down ♍γ̲̣̣̥ number again. I was surpriced to get an invite to start training next day. I called em toreschedule nd they allowed me to come. I latter attended few days of training and its all fun nd highly informative. IF THEY WERE SCAMMERS, They will not wait at same location to see them next day nd training ppl who paid on health issues. So am surprised to find this tread where ppl ar calling them scamma. So I just want to know how? Cos I latter stoped attending cos I hav a job that pays ♍γ̲̣̣̥ bills for now. |
