Oba market, the place where I grew up. I remember the very first day the gates of this gigantic market was open then as a kid. I remember how my Friends and I used to wander all through the market playing as kids.. I remember hawking inside this market, then transverse to Lagos street, mission road just to make ends meet. The environment where I grew up makes me discard the believe that your environment influences your character and behavior. The environment where I grew up around Oba market (Ogbe quarters) was at a time known for notorious activities in the whole of Benin but I wasn't carried away one bit.
