They've been fighting Boko Haram, that carries out similar attacks in the northeast.

Jesus Comes to You in Your Storm

“About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water.” Mark 6:48 (NLT)

Have you ever had a storm blow your life off course?

In Mark 6, Jesus sent the disciples ahead of him to Bethsaida while he went off by himself to pray. It wasn’t a long trip by boat, but they were blown off course by a storm. When Jesus saw them struggling against the wind in the middle of the lake, he came to their aid.

Does your life feel like the disciples’ today?

Maybe you had no intention of being where you are in your job, your marriage, or your finances. You’ve been blown off course by situations you couldn’t control. You feel like you should be at your original destination by now, but at this point you’ve given up hope of getting there. You just want to get back to safety.

Or perhaps you had big dreams for your life that you gave up on a long time ago. You’re not even worried about progress anymore. You’re just wondering, “Can I survive?”

What does Jesus do when you’re at your moment of desperation? Mark 6:48 says, “About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water” (NLT). Notice that he didn’t tell the disciples to come to him. He knew they couldn’t get to him. So he went to them instead. The same is true for you. When you’re at your point of desperation, Jesus comes to you!

I love the fact that Jesus did not stand on the shore and shout instructions. When you’re in a storm, you don’t need advice. You need a miracle! You need somebody to show up, and that’s what Jesus did. He intervened in the disciples’ storm.

This is the Gospel: God doesn’t stand on the shoreline telling you what to do; instead, he comes out and meets you in your own storm—in your pain, fear, depression, and discouragement. He comes to you. What a God!

You may feel abandoned right now, but you’re not. The Bible says in John 14:18, “I will not abandon you or leave you as orphans in the storm—I will come to you” (TLB). You can count on it!

It’s Time to Confess: Your Way Isn’t Working

“When [Jesus] had finished speaking, he said to Simon, ‘Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.’ Simon answered, ‘Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.’” Luke 5:4-5 (NIV)

Think about how hard it must have been for Simon Peter to admit failure to Jesus. He was a professional fisherman, and he was good at it. It was how he made his living. But sometimes even the pros fish all night and catch nothing.

Does your life sometimes feel the same way? Sometimes your best isn’t good enough, and sometimes you face situations out of your control. You can’t control the economy. You can’t control the weather. You can’t control a lot of things that affect your life.

So what do you do when you keep trying hard in your work but just don’t have much to show for it?

First, you need to get Jesus in your boat. In other words, let him be the center of your job. Then, once you’ve asked Jesus to come into your boat, you need to admit your way isn’t working so you can let him take over. The Bible has a name for “admitting your way isn’t working.” It’s called confession, and it can be tough.

Why is it so hard for you to admit your way isn’t working? Here are a few reasons:

Pride. You don’t want anybody to think you can’t handle it. Instead, you want to look like you’re in charge and like you’ve got it all together. You think you can handle everything by yourself, even if it means working 12 hours a day.

Stubbornness. You’re unwilling to change the way you do things. Did you know the greatest enemy of tomorrow’s success is yesterday’s success?

Fear. You can’t admit you’ve fished all night and caught nothing. You’re afraid people will think less of you. You’re afraid to let Jesus into your boat because he might steer it in a direction you don’t want to go.

It’s time to confess that your way isn’t working. Let go of your pride, stubbornness, and fear. Then see how Jesus can take your boat and fill your nets to overflowing.

Back or Front Sight

The greatest undoing of many is the direction of their gaze. Many people believed in the impact of their past than the glory of the future. Unfortunately, whomsoever sets his eye backwards will never move forward, nor enter into a glorious future.

And since, when we were his enemies, we were brought back to God by the death of his Son, what blessings he must have for us now that we are his friends and he is living within us! Romans 5:10 TLB

Today, and especially in Africa, many people have their sight on generational curses, and the atrocities committed by their forefathers, than the blessings in Christ. One grandfather might have disrupted a lot of things, but we have Jesus who has rearranged a lot of things and set unprecedented blessings for us. However, it requires faith, by giving more heed to the blessings than the curses. Am not saying those curses aren't real, but we have Jesus and His precious promises before us. We can then choose which we will set out gaze on, back or front.

There's a difference between running after and running from. There are some today who are merely scared and trying to run from happenings in their past. However, we are meant to run after the blessings. When we get the blessings, not even our past can hinder it. Whomsoever God has blessed is blessed. Rather, you ought to seek for God's blessings than running from things you may not be able to escape from.

The two(past and future) are before you, but your highest believe will determine what happens in your life. Most times we don't need more believe, you just need to deal more with the contrary unbelieve. Just like the man said, "I believe help my unbelieve."

Immunity Against Curses/Wickedness

Generational curses and wickedness by evil ones are plaguing many today, and sometimes, there are some children of God who doesn’t know who they are and labour under these curses and wickedness due to their ignorance and unbelief. Unbelief for a child of God is a curse, and it is very dangerous, but it can be cured and should be cured immediately. Because unbelief will put a man under lots of bondage. Am pleased to tell you this morning that God is the creator of everything and everyone, all powers in heavens, on the earth and even in the deep. And thus, God has given us immunity against every form of curses. All you need is belief.

Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against me in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Isaiah 54:16-17

In the scripture above, God said that He created every man that forms every weapon, and He created even the destroyer. And He is now telling you that, no matter what is formed, concocted, created, sent or manufacture can never arm you. He said we shall condemn every tongue that rise against us. And He said something special, He said this immunity is a benefit for God’s children, it is an inheritance. Wow! We have an inheritance that shields us, all we need is to engage it. He also said somewhere else that no curse causeless shall stand. He said somewhere else that, ‘surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel’

Whomsoever God has blessed cannot be cursed, you can’t be cursed, because you’re blessed in Christ Jesus with all heavenly blessings. All you need is to stand in your position of authority and condemn every tongue rising against you. His word said He will wipe off every handwriting against us. it’s just a pity how many people believe more in the power of the devil than they believe in the power of God. When Christ took the victory over death, He didn’t go to death to negotiate, He acclaimed a victory that is so great that death was swallowed up in that victory. Children of God just need to seek the will of God and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, and with just a single word, or without any, every generational curse will be swallowed up in victory. You’re immune, but our immunity is rooted in the knowledge and understanding of God, that’s why it’s most beneficial to seek and know God.

Truly, There’s a God

Much more than we can ever comprehend, God is much more involved in our lives. The word of the Lord says “In Him we live, and move, and have our being.” There’s a hypothetical story of two babies inside their mother’s womb. One was of the thought that there is nothing called a ‘mother.’ That if a mother exists, then, where is she? And the other was of a contrary opinion that, there is a ‘mother.’ And very soon they will see her, and be exposed to her love. However, the truth is that despite the other baby’s opinion, the mother’s love is all around them. They live in and through the mother.

So also, we may be in this world having not seen God. But There is a God who loves us, cares for us, and want to help us. We can’t see Him, but He is our very life support. And He said that very soon, every eye will see Him and everyone will bow unto Him. But when you finally discover at the end that God has been there all along, I hope you won’t be on the wrong side of His judgement.

Sometimes, challenges make people think that God doesn’t care. But I want you to know that God really wants to help you, and that you really matter to Him. if you want to know your worth to God, just lift up your heart to the cross. God gave His only begotten son for you and for me. Your life is worth the only Son of God. God walks with the Israelites when they left Egypt, and He was always ready to help them all through the way, and every challenges.

So also, today, God is in the heart of all those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. But you must trust and have faith in Him for you to see His hand at work in your life. The Israelites couldn’t enter the promise land simply because of unbelief. I want you to live a life of no worries and doubts, knowing that truly, there’s a God. God is inside of you and me, and He is not idle. He is always ready to help us, but we must also be wise to know more about Him, and understand what it takes to replicate His love. There’s a God and He is closer and involved than we think. If we invite Him into our lives, then we shouldn’t be fighting on our own. He is waiting for you to call upon Him. Don’t Let Limitations Limit Your Vision

“The king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval . . . So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen.” Esther 2:17 (NIV)

God will not only use your gifts to fulfill your destiny, but he’ll also use your limitations.

Let’s look at Esther again. She had several big limitations that made her perfect for the role God wanted her to fulfill. She was an orphan adopted by Mordecai; she was a minority, a Jew living in a Persian country; and she was a single woman. A single woman in a male-dominated society had zero rights.

But God used all of these things to help her fulfill her destiny.

Sometimes what looks like a disaster in your life is part of a much bigger plan.

Esther could have just said, “If only I hadn’t been chosen . . . If only I had a better education . . . If only I was more like someone else.” A lot of people do that. They live their lives in resentment, always looking at people and saying, “Well it must be nice to be them.”

If you have that attitude, you will never fulfill your destiny. You have to realize that the unpleasant obstacles in your life are often God-ordained opportunities to make a difference.

It’s hard to see that when you’re feeling pain.

Look at Job. He was the wealthiest man in the world, and then God allowed everything to be taken from him— his family, wealth, and health.

Then, when Job started questioning God, God was silent.

Job said, “I do not see him in the north, for he is hidden. I look to the south, but he is concealed. But he knows where I am going . . . Once he has made his decision, who can change his mind? Whatever he wants to do, he does. So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny” (Job 23:9-10, 13-14 NLT).

We’re living in uncertain times, and you may not be able to figure everything out. But God knows what’s going on. The pleasures and pains, the opportunities and obstacles—God can use it all.

The Man Whom God Lifts

We may talk here and now about God’s love-which will be true, and how He has chosen to love us while we were yet sinners. But the truth remains that God wants to be loved by us the same way He hath shown us love. It is like a young man who intends to marry a young lady. The lady might not look towards the side of the guy at the initial stage, but immediately the guy starts approaching the lady and expresses his intention in all sincerity, the lady can then start to see something beautiful and attractive in the young man, and eventually accept his love. However, after the lady has accepted his love, the lady is expected to reciprocate the love. If the lady doesn’t reciprocate that love, it will lead to a divorce. In that same manner, we have been called the bride of Christ. But many of aren’t reciprocating His love.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. with long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Psalms 91:14-16

God expects us to love Him back, and only then can He show us the true extent of His goodness and kindness. God says He doesn’t look at what is outside but within. God knows those that truly love Him and those that didn’t. And truth be spoken, many people serve God not out of love but in satisfaction of religious rites, and because of their needs. God wouldn’t do much with such kinds of people. God is looking for children that will love Him just as He hath loved them. Children who are concerned about what the Father is concerned about, children who reflect the image of the Father and do His will faithfully. God doesn't have many human lover, but for the few that will love Him, He doesn’t joke in lifting and protecting them. Those are the ones He says, He gives people and nations for their sake. Love God and you will experience new realities.

Brethren, please let's love God. if we love Him, it will reflect In our actions and duties. What we say, where we go, what we do, how we talk and everything we do will show if we love God or not.

God Can Use Your Weaknesses for Good

“I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up best in weak people.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (TLB)

God can use all things for good—even your weaknesses. Here are four ways he uses your weaknesses for good.

Your weaknesses prevent arrogance. When you realize you’re not perfect—that you don’t have it all together—you will become a much humbler person. And being humble makes you more like Jesus Christ.

God did some great things in and through the apostle Paul. But Paul had something in his life that kept him from becoming arrogant. He called it a “thorn in the flesh” and asked God to take it away: “Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you’” (2 Corinthians 12:8-9 NIV). God’s grace will always be enough for you too.

Your weaknesses help you value others. It’s okay if you don’t have all the gifts, talents, or answers. That just makes you appreciative of and dependent on the people in your life and their gifts and talents. We need each other. Your weaknesses may be the way you learn to live in biblical community. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 12:22, “Some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary” (NLT).

Your weaknesses make you more dependent on God. A different translation of 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “I am with you; that is all you need. My power shows up best in weak people” (TLB). If you had no weaknesses, you wouldn’t think you needed God. You’d spend your life being self-sufficient—and that’s no way to live. Paul says, “Now I am glad to boast about how weak I am; I am glad to be a living demonstration of Christ’s power . . . for when I am weak, then I am strong—the less I have, the more I depend on him” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10 TLB).

Your weaknesses give you a ministry. God doesn’t want to use only your strengths in ministry. He also wants to use your weaknesses. God “comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God” (2 Corinthians 1:4 NIV). After God helps you go through a problem or learn to live with a weakness, you can then help somebody else with the same difficulty.

That’s the kind of God you serve. He weaves even the bad stuff in your life to make good. God will use your weakness to make you more like Jesus as you depend on him and the family of believers.

God’s Precious Desire

God’s precious desire and will is that everyone obeys His commands. Because it’s only in obeying God’s commands that He releases His good intentions unto us, it’s only in obeying Him that He releases all the goodies He has in stock for us. It’s only in obedience unto Him that He finds us worthy to be used. However, God’s intention isn’t a forced obedience. God wants us to understand the reason for obeying Him.

Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. Psalms 32:9

God intends for us to understand the reason for our obedience. Because He knew that when a man truly understands the reasons for obedience, such a man will voluntarily and happily obey all His commands and will. God isn’t going to false us to obey Him, He is not riding over us like a horse. He said, the rider of a horse commands the obedience of the horse through bridling. But God’s precious desire is that we obey Him by understanding the reasons for obedience unto Him.

Many parents want their children to obey them simply because they want a good future and life for their children, but sometimes, the shortsightedness of the children makes them disobey their parents. And in such instance, the parent just wishes to explain to the child that his/her intention isn’t to dominate but rather guide to the best possible future. That’s the same thing with us, God’s will and purpose for obeying Him is to release good things unto us, to give us the promised glorious future, but we have to pray for understanding to obey (so our shortsightedness won’t hinder us from His blessings). We have to obey through understanding. God doesn’t have desire in forced obedience, but voluntary obedience. God isn’t intending to dominate us, but to bless us through obedience unto Him.

Whenever we decide to be true to ourselves and God, we always realize that there are some few or many things we have to do away with so as for God to have His way in and through us. Although most times, these things are things we don’t really want to let go of, but we just have to pick between God or whatever is holding us away from God.

Depart from me you evildoers that I may keep the commandments of my God. Psalms 109:115

There’re friends who are evildoers that will prevent us from observing the commands of God and prevent us from taking the necessary steps in doing God's will. I have seen quite often how the friendship that some people keep prevents them from preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because in the company of such friends, religion is foolishness, Christ isn’t for the intellectuals, ego is a daily necessity, humility is foolishness; and as a result, many people forfeit and bury holy and righteous desires in their hearts. Some people keep friends that made them see women as sexual instrument, and a gender to be dominated. Sometimes, such men might even love their wife truly, but the ideas from evil friends make them misbehave. Sometimes, ungodly friends do not make us commit evil, but we bury holy thoughts and acts because we’re connected to them.

Your friend will surely influence you; you can’t help but be influenced by them. The word said, show me your friend and I will tell you who you are. When we see your friends, we will know whether you’re Godly or not, wise or foolish, honorable or dishonorable, etc. Whatever your friends are not or won't be, you are highly likely not to be as well. And the word of the Lord said again in verse 118 that, ‘Thou dost spurn all who go astray from thy statues; yea, their cunning is in vain.’ Don’t act as if you’re wise with God. He loves children like faith. Depart from evil friendship and companion, associate with God’s children and doing God’s desire will be easy for you.

There’re friends who are evildoers that will prevent us from observing the commands of God and prevent us from taking the necessary steps in doing God's will. I have seen quite often how the friendship that some people keep prevents them from preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because in the company of such friends, religion is foolishness, Christ isn’t for the intellectuals, ego is a daily necessity, humility is foolishness; and as a result, many people forfeit and bury holy and righteous desires in their hearts. Some people keep friends that made them see women as sexual instrument, and a gender to be dominated. Sometimes, such men might even love their wife truly, but the ideas from evil friends make them misbehave. Sometimes, ungodly friends do not make us commit evil, but we bury holy thoughts and acts because we’re connected to them.

Your friend will surely influence you; you can’t help but be influenced by them. The word said, show me your friend and I will tell you who you are. When we see your friends, we will know whether you’re Godly or not, wise or foolish, honorable or dishonorable, etc. Whatever your friends are not or won't be, you are highly likely not to be as well. And the word of the Lord said again in verse 118 that, ‘Thou dost spurn all who go astray from thy statues; yea, their cunning is in vain.’ Don’t act as if you’re wise with God. He loves children like faith. Depart from evil friendship and companion, associate with God’s children and doing God’s desire will be easy for you.

Meaning of a New Day

Many people live each day of their lives without realizing the meaning and reason they wake up every day. But there’s a reason why everyone on the face of the earth woke up today, there’s a reason why people who wouldn’t wake up tomorrow wouldn’t wake up. Our life wasn’t given unto us on demand, and parting with it wouldn’t be our choice either. The creator gave us life to be expressed in days for some vital reasons. However, many people have found personal reasons for waking up and seeing a new day. But the truth about new days can only be revealed by God, and not by our personal discoveries.

Majority of humans see new days as an avenue to make money and more money, and they thereby say, ‘time is money.’ But time is much more important than money. Because when the giver of the life says “enough, no more new days” you wouldn’t take any money with you. But what’s the creator’s intent for giving us new days?

The Lord is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 2Peter 3:9

We have new days so we can find God, or do more for God. God told me something sometimes ago, when I humbly and logically asked Him why we ought to thank Him for being alive, since unbelievers are alive too. He told me that, we ought to thank Him because the meaning of a new day for an unbeliever and a believer is different. For an unbeliever, God said, He’s giving them another opportunity, and for a believer, it is a new day to do God’s will.

What this means is that, whoever you are, whatever you might have done, God hasn’t given up on you. Whenever God gives up on a man, the man will have to die. When He gave up on the rich fool [Laban], He declared end of days over Him, same with the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah, etc. A new day simply means God is not done with you yet. If the devil can have his way, He would have killed you, but God has been declaring new days for you to tell you that, His hand is still open unto you. If you’re God’s child, it’s another day to do more for God, and if you aren’t, it’s another opportunity to find God. To all those alive today, I can boldly tell you, God isn’t done with you, and that’s exactly why you’re alive.

*Harbinger of Calamity*

Calamity and disaster in health, business, marriage, family, parenting, and every other areas of man’s life is prevalent in our society today, and especially in the most important area of marriage and family. And this is majorly because of sin. We discussed yesterday that God hates no man, even when we sin and mess up, God still holds us as His darling and beloved. But despite the fact that we’re His darling and beloved doesn’t mean we will be free from some choices we make. But one thing is that, God can help us and bring us back on the right track. But the fact remains that sin as always and will always introduce calamity and disaster into the life of a man.

*“See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse befall you.” John 5:14*

The above scripture was about a man who was lame and stood by a mysterious pool for thirty-eight years. But one day with the Author of Life, his story changed. He was able to walk again, what he has been seeking for thirty-eight years was given to him on a platter of gold. But Jesus warned him that he had to let go of the life of sin, because sin has ever and will always have a reward, which is death. The word of the Lord said the wages of sin is death. Sin has a wage that the justice system of God recognizes. This man story exemplifies salvation, Jesus doesn’t regard his former sins, mistakes, and shortcomings. He wiped all his pasts in seconds without questions, but yet, after giving him a clean slate to start with, he must forsake the life of sin. Same with us, Jesus has died for our sins, but we must not remain in sin. Sin brings calamity. That’s why the scripture said, when we were in the world, we acted by the impulse of our minds and governed by the power of the air which is at work in the sons of disobedience, but now, we were made to understand that we should give ourselves and our members as tools for righteousness and holiness. As much as a mother loves her daughter and desires to embrace her, she wouldn’t embrace the child if she has pooed on her body, before an embrace, the daughter had to be washed. So, God washed us in Christ Jesus and embraces us, but we must continue in the righteousness and holiness with which we have been saved. Because sin distances us from God and subject us to the torment of the devil, which is calamity and disaster. The power to overcome sin is available in Christ. It’s Your Choice to Rejoice in Trouble

No matter what challenges and difficulties you face, you can trust God to see you through.

That’s why the Bible says you can rejoice when you face trouble: “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy” (James 1:2 NLT).

It’s easy to misunderstand this verse. God’s not saying be a martyr. He’s not saying deny reality. He's not saying fake it ‘til you make it.

We don't rejoice for the trouble. But we can still rejoice during the trouble because of what we know is true.

And what is true? We know that God sees and cares about everything we're going through. We know that we're never alone, that God is always with us. We know that he will give us strength if we trust him.

One of the greatest comforts when you're going through troubles is God’s promise in Romans 8:28: "We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him . . . " (NCV).

God has promised to bring good out of bad for us—in everything. That includes the pandemic! That's not a promise for everybody. It's a promise for believers, those who love him and are committed to living according to his purpose.

When you're in a tough time, joy is a choice because you can rely on the goodness of God. Joy is not based on circumstances, and that’s why it's your choice to rejoice no matter what the situation.

Joy is not based on circumstances, and that’s why you are able to make a choice to rejoice no matter what your situation is.

Joy is based on what we know is true, and it’s based on our faith that God will fulfill his promise to work things out for good, according to his purpose.

In Psalm 34:1, King David said, "I will praise the LORD at all times; his praise is always on my lips" (NCV). Even now, we should thank God. Praise God. Rejoice in God—not just in good times. At all times.

Focus on Living for an Audience of One

“No one can serve two masters.” Luke 16:13 (NIV)

When you’re always worried about what other people think of you, you can’t be what God wants you to be. But, when you learn to think like Jesus, you won’t worry about pleasing everyone. Jesus had the right focus. He was only concerned with pleasing God.

Jesus was never manipulated by crowds or by the approval or the disapproval of anybody else. He lived for an audience of one: “I try to please the One who sent me” (John 5:30 NCV). When you have the mind of Christ, that’s what you do.

Wouldn’t it simplify your life to live for an audience of one? If God likes what you’re doing, then you know you’re doing the right thing.

God says in Matthew 3:17, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased” (NIV). Jesus was obviously doing it right.

The truth is, you can’t please everybody. Even God can’t please everybody! When someone prays for it to be sunny, somebody else is praying for it to rain. Somebody is praying for their team to do well, and someone else wants the opposing team to win. You can’t please everybody.

Luke 16:13 says, “No one can serve two masters” (NIV).

You have to decide whose approval you’re going to seek—God’s approval or other people’s approval. Are you going to live for what other people think or what God thinks?

When you’re always looking for validation from other people, it means you don’t really realize who you are. You don’t understand what God made you to do or believe that he is always with you.

Jesus never let someone else’s approval or a fear of rejection control him. He wasn’t out to win a popularity contest. He didn’t need other people’s opinions to validate himself.

When you have the mind of Christ, you will be so secure in your identity, your purpose, and God’s presence in your life that you won’t need to look to other people for approval.

The Sun will Shine Again

There are times in our lives that everything may seem to be over or almost over. But there is an assurance, better days are always ahead. It is only failures that believe the present is all there is to be. Better days are always ahead. When Jesus came into the earth, he faced many challenges, his birth lead to the death of hundreds of kids, his presence shook the city and the leaders were against him, he was eventually nailed on the cross. But despite all these, in no moment was it the end for Jesus. for every passing moment, he edges closer to the glory. Irrespective of what is happening right now, the coming days will be better than now.

“For there is hope for a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its shoots will not cease. Job 14:6

So my brethren, whatever you may be going through, the sun will rise again tomorrow. You’ll live once more, you will laugh again, you will rise again and you will be you again. One thing that killed people faster than any other thing is self-condemnation. Although, you might be right to condemn yourself, but God has transferred our condemnations on Christ Jesus. He knew no sin, but he was made sin for us. He was condemned for us, and so he gave us freedom.

We often lose hope because we’re so short sighted of how glorious tomorrow can be, of how awesome the sun is going to shine tomorrow. But the sun will rise again tomorrow. No matter what you’re passing through, better days are ahead. Jesus encountered difficulties of every sort, but despite that, till today, His better day’s keeps coming (because more souls are daily won to Him). All you need is the one(Jesus) who died for you, and how to sustain Him. Your Sun will shine again.

There was once a very wealthy man who had inherited great generational wealth that had increased with each passing generation. This man invested in arts, and had collections of Picasso, Rembrandt, Monet and other great historical artists. This man found a beautiful woman whom she loved so much and they both got married. Unfortunately, the woman died when delivering their child. With the loss of his wife, this man developed an unusual affection and love for his only son. When it was close to the time for the boy to inherit the properties and manage the wealth, the father thought it good for the boy to have outside experience. The boy joined the army and went distant miles away from the father. However, both of them maintained close touch through letters.

The butler in the house of this wealthy man realized how passionately his boss cherish the letters from his only son and would deliver it himself immediately the letters arrive. However, one day, the father noticed that another hand writing had addressed the letter in his hand. He quickly opened the letter and to his shock, it was a letter from the army commander telling him that his son had lost his life on the battlefield. After many days of sorrow, the man had a great artist paint the picture of his son, and he hoisted the pictures above all other work of arts in his collection room.

Later on, the man died, and since there was no one to inherit the properties, bidders were invited to purchase the popular arts in his house and other properties. But the first thing that was auctioned was the painting of the son of the man. Nobody was interested in the picture, they were all waiting for the paintings of great historical artists, and good properties, unlike the uncommon boy’s painting. However, the butler who had seen the son grew raised his hand to purchase the son’s painting. Since he was the only one, he won the bidding. And the auctioneer announced that the auction is over. Those who had come to bid questioned about the popular arts and other properties, and the auctioneer replied that, the father had instructed that whomsoever took custody of the son’s painting has everything.

The story above simply explains the reality of the message of Christmas; that whomsoever wants anything and everything from God must accept God’s presentation of His only Son. Without Jesus, God has nothing for you. With Jesus, God has everything for you. Jesus is the heir of God, and we’re joint heirs with Him because if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. We can only get from God when we have His Son. Merry Christmas.
