Lol, Daddy Freeze at it again.

I'm still waiting with bated breath to read or see Chimanmanda's response to the conversation Dana Loesch's remarks to her has stirred up. I'm quite sick and tired of engaging her maid-servants who have been trying all they can to defend their madam.

I need to see an intelligent response ASAP and it seems it can only come from Chimanmanda herself. This silence however leaves a lot to the imagination especially as she has a reputation to always respond to attacks against her views.
She’ll prolly let the dust settle before responding or never. You know how this works, oyinbo are their demi-god. Leosch is one ruthless cat she doesn’t wanna banter with. hehe

she dare not deny it.
Igbo women cannot inherit their fathers lamd. It is not known in tradition.

That's why till today an Igbo man who didn't give both to any male child may choose not to get his daughter married but encourage her to get pregnant and bring the son home to her family so the family will have a male.

This is the tradition of the fool called Chimamanda who's disturbing the world why onyibo man holds door for onyibo woman.
Oh I see. Thanks for the free lecture.

Her “preachings” doesn’t apply to women in Nigeria. She’s a business woman who understands the art of shaking tables. Hehe

Fearlez:
Uju, you're an Igbo girl and I know you can't inherit your father's land except if he is so gracious to will it to you. Even at that, if it's an inherited land, you will still be forbidden from taking possession of it.

There's no Igbo female monarch and you women are still forbidden in taking part in family (umunna) meetings.

So why is your saviour abandoning your perpetual slavery and prating about men holding doors for women in onyibo country?

Don't you think your condition is worse off and requires UN intervention?
Wow... is this really true she can’t inherit her own father’s land and doesn’t have a say in family meeting? I now clearly get the prevalence of feminism among Igbo women in oyinbo land.

By the looks of it, seems her teachings still aren't applicable to some American women either.. women like Dana.
Absofreakinglutely , I don’t care for her teachings in anyway neither.

My point is both genders are equal by default in oyinbo land so anything goes here. Whereas there’s culture back home, my sister in law will never ask my brother to do certain things I easily can ask mine. and she’s no couch potato btw.

How are you doing? Heard Nigeria lost to Croatia, I don’t have the patient for 90min long game, nah

@eyinjuege

Bless you plenty!

Location location location

Chimamanda’s teachings aren’t applicable to Nigerians living in Nigeria. The earlier the better these poor gals let it sink into their heads.

I agree that Chiamanda is everywhere however, I don't think I have heard Chiamanda speak about domestic life as in don't wash your husband's clothes etc.

It is also not about location, some NID are more 'crude' than your guy living in Igbo Ora village.

The more I read and study cultures, the more I am convinced that we are almost similar.
You didn’t grasp the contrast in that post= though I do what most women NOW find belittling, I still call the shots hence the point. Women deprived of freewill in their homes fight up and down for a “right” they don’t have in first place. Maybe they should chill.

Only critical thinkers gets her, She doesn’t have to speak about domestic stuff, but her contexts imply it. next she interviews Alakija she will.
Last time she condesendly asked H.Clinton about representing herself as a mother first before her achievements titles , poor lady who confessed that it never occurred to her, changed it right away. That’s how quick women are swindled and manipulated , hence OP’s point. Good thing Trump won... I guess women are weaker vessel afterall.

We are not similar culturally please ,biology makes us similar.

What is NID? Btw are you married now, any kid? I forgot folks status. Been a while.

She's the one who put someone down, not me.
I don’t see that in her write up maybe you can point it out. Adichie is a public figure therefore is open to criticism she doesn’t need anyone to defend her.
OP has a point. Nigerian women adopt doctrines and take it to the extreme.
Megan Makel opened the door for harry when he did for her trying to prove her feminism poweress, it has been addressed and that was the last time she’ll come close to a door. You see, her American nonsense doesn’t fly with the Mountbattens. And that doesn’t make her less of a woman.

I won't be surprised 'cause that's how some of the female handles here throw themselves under the bus for worthless "Likes" and "Shares" from shallow-minded guys like themselves.
OP is only stating her opinion, her write up could be a true story hence the tone. I don’t think putting her down makes any sense whatsoever.

It’s not that serious.

Any smart Nigerian lady who lives in Nigeria will be setting herself for big time disappointment if she listens to whatever she says.

Mentally change when you’ve lived here for decades and that’s just the truth. Everything she’s clamouring about aren’t that bad imo but not applicable to Nigerian residents and that’s where they all got it twisted.

I’ve been hand washing my husbands clothes, serve him food and watch him eat regardless what time he comes home, for years now and I live abroad. BUT I’m the decision maker and he wouldn’t want it another way.
So you see it’s subjective, but our sisters get it all twisted believing and applying her doctrines to theirs.

FamilyAdress Your Country’s Priorities: Loesech Blast Chimamanda by Ewuro4(op): 3:17pm On Jun 15, 2018
Feminism: Chimamanda Should Return to Her Country And Speak On Genital Mutilation- US Activist Blasts Nigerian Author By Femi Famutimi (June 15, 2028)

A United State spokesperson on Gun ownership and the second amendment, Dana Loesch, has hit out at Nigerian author and prominent feminist, Chimamanda Adichie and told her to “return to her own country and worry about genital mutilation”

This is in response to Adichie’s appearance on the Today show where she spoke out against what people deem to be acts of chivalry which she explained was subtle sexism.

According to Chimamanda; “I think gestures like holding the door shouldn’t be gender-based,”

“I’m quite happy for people to hold the door for me. But I hope they’re not doing it because of this sort of idea of chivalry.
“Because chivalry is really about the idea that women are somehow weak and need protecting. But we know that really, there are many women who are stronger than many men.”

Loesch, however, opined that Adichie did not understand the concept of chivalry and said she should focus more on the ills in her nations such as genital mutilation.

“I don’t think she understands quite the concept of chivalry, which was a code of conduct for gentlemen,” Loesch said.

“With all due respect to Adichie — and I’m familiar with her — I think it’s a luxury of third-way feminism to complain about holding doors open for people where her country, Nigeria, it ranks top in the world for female genital mutilation, which I think if far more of a disservice to women and far more suppressive than someone courteously opening the door for someone else.”
