I saw this somewhere about Airtel

The guy was suggesting that if you hit 1tb and speed gets throttled, you can call Airtel office to reset it, or you do it yourself.

However MTN now has 50mbps for 40k no FUP(it's not up to a month, so the fup isn't truly confirmed yet)(at least MTN claims no FUP)

If Airtel keeps doing the fup stuff, they might lose customers with need for more than 1tb monthly.

Mtn has a FUP, 5mbps after 400gb is rubbish.

I think you're right, I noticed my data has been really bad for the past 3 days. Unusable in fact, I thought it's just a Airtel doing Airtel stuff, until I saw another thread of someone complaining of 100gb fup and your post too. I decided to check my data usage and I actually just hit 99.5gb on my router.

Note that this only affect the 20mbps plan. ODU looks like the cheapest route to unlimited plan for now.

I did the 20mbs bypass plan, but this thing is hardly usable. I previously used the 50mbps plan before now, and it was actually enjoyable. Pls what can i do, or is the data plan the issue itself, i use the sim in a mtn 4g router. I dont know if going back to 50mbps will be better, or maybe its just bad airtel network in general.

Even with the purported high price, you can still get the watch cheaper during major sales on AliExpress, like the just concluded. Knowledge of 'coupon and coin' combination during checkout is what it requires.
In fact, I got one KUMI smartwatch for as low as $12 (around 18k). The selling price during the sales was $41( about 60k). So interesting!

What model is that watch if you don't mind?

I don’t know if it’s just my account or a general thing, stuffs on AliExpress has gotten more expensive, it’s cheaper to buy things locally with the prices I’m seeing there, specifically tech gadgets, ssd, memory, charger, phones. It could be down to naira becoming stronger, I’m just pointing out what I’ve noticed.

it is directly from Airtel and not the network in your area. It happened to everyone here except if the person is not noticing it.

I don’t know what’s wrong with my network since two days ago, I have been having this issue where my network get throttle, I will be having like 0.9 Mbps, for 2-3 hours. It happened yesterday and it happened today again in the afternoon, same time as yesterday, after sometime it comes back to regular speed . I’ve tried everything, the band lock, the cell lock, everything that has been recommended here.

It's the zlt so I don't have option to choose 3g only, I don't think it's network based anyways. Maybe throttling from airtel directly. Any solutions please?

My MC801A was lying useless. Now the MF296A will have to be the one sacrificed.

The install helper app really helped me get a good place to put the ODU for the strongest band in my location with poor network.

What's the purpose of this, I don't really understand. The unlimited sim is still inside the odu? This means the 801A is better than the 296A.

I don't screw my ODU so and it's not too high so easily accessible

Mine's too high, outside and screwed in tightly too. The small router I'm using is very much slower than the odù, wish I could get more speed from it.

Make sense, the issue will be having to screw and unscrew the odu to insert the sim.

Just got mine done now at an outlet close to me. Proper usage of the thing bout to start. Did you try to put the sim in the odu if there's light or it's just your x25 only?

This Airtel ODU (ZLT PRO) is not it at all. The first day I gat it, it was very fast and opening very pages I want to open but after 3-4 days, different issues started arising. If I want to check internet speed on fast .com, it will hardly open and when it does it will go from Kb to 25mbps then settle at 2-4mbps. If there is not light, the router is useless even with the follow-come ups.

I had to stay on this page everyday hoping to get a solution. I finally decided to do sim swap from esim to physical sim. Now the sim is working on Airtel X25 5G router. Not really fast but okay

Same experience I have with the router back up, too freaking low. 2 hours like this, it is dead. When did you do a Sim swap, nimc portal has been down for the past one week I've been trying.

Not yet, but that's my plan today. Doing a SIM swap, and unlock the router to use Airtel unlimited. Not 5g Router, zlt s20 4g router.

That was because for whatever reason, the ODU'S UPS needs electricity or else the speed and connectivity drops

The zlt ODU doesn't use a separate ups, the idu supplies power to it. So only one ups powers 2 devices, the smaller white UPS I previously own only lasted for 50 minutes before shut down.

Hmmnnn, I won’t mind the trade off. This zlt consumes a lot of power, electricity here is not stable. I only get 2 hours of usage throughout today.

Just realized that my whole problem is down to the UPS not being connected to electricity causing the problem. My light gets rationed so I have to rely on the UPS which for whatever reason affects the network speed and connectivity if it's not connected to electricity

Ok, how does it compare with the x25 pro speed, and what do you do when you’re off eletricity.

This thing is consuming so much battery, I can’t keep up.
I’ll have to unlock my Mtn router, and do sim swap to use it with peace of mind.

Bro!!!!! That's what I'm facing, I'll run a speed test , it will take forever to start counting then I'll get 350kps, it will enter 1.5Mbps and settle at 10Mbps.

Next test will end up settling at 40+Mbps.

This inconsistency make it hard to stream.

I've had to ditch my ODU now, locked my x25 pro to a cell to be able to stream.

Like I said before, once the registration is completed, wait until it starts working before you leave the office.

Earlier today, I registered for a new one. Thank God their manager, who is a more experienced staff was there.

So, I opted for the ZTE variant. After registration was completed, they weren't sure if it was successful or not, but they were saying it would go through eventually. Then they showed their manager, who was standing nearby. He told them that it would fail, and that they should swap the line with a physical sim. Once that was done, they said I should go, that it would work. I then insisted on testing it before leaving. So, the manager himself inserted the sim inside the device and asked me to connect to it. Once I made sure that it was browsing, I left.

The fact that mine worked properly, and I browse with it before he packed back into the carton is what's making me confused and angry.

I'm scared already cos I cant pay another 25k for different router, and I can't wait for two weeks for them to sort it.

I bought mine on Tuesday, tested it with Internet in their place, everything worked has expected. Got a mail from dstv installation blah blah. No number in the mail. Since then till today, no calls nothing nothing.

The guy that registered it fir me has been postponing me since that the install will soon come,he just opened up to me now that my device stopped working. And it has to work before installation can be done. Now seeing you had to buy another device is not looking good at all. I'll go tomorrow, and tell them to make it a physical sim so I can have my device working again. I read someone here used that same method here to get it working.
