Singer 9ice, has debunked claims that he returned to music because he failed in politics. 9ice who ran for a House of Reps seat in Oyo state but lost during the APC primary, told Punch that although he did not win the election, the experience taught him a lot.
He said:

“It is not true that I am returning to music after failing in my political endeavours. People would always talk. When I went into politics, people said that it was because I was no longer making money through music. Music is my passion and even if it does not put food on my table, I would continue to pursue my passion. Music is something I can do for free. If it pays my bills fine, but if it doesn’t, I would still continue to do music. They have not heard the last of my political sojourn; come 2019, I would contest again”

On Sunday night, HKN singer, Davido was billed to perform at indigenous rapper, Olamide’s concert, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
However, the Money singer never made it to the stage, and this infuriated quite a lot of the concertgoers.

Even after waiting in vain as a result of the organisers promise that Davido would perform after Olamide had closed the concert- the attendees still got disappointed.
In a bid to understand why Davido never showed up, YNaija went snooping and discovered that Davido was actually held up in traffic while trying to get into Eko Hotel and Suites.
Their correspondent saw Davido pull up in his Audi R8 at about 4:30 am when most people were already losing hope and heading out while a few
die-hard fans still waited in vain.
Davido was accompanied by his elder bother, Adewale Adeleke and cousin, B-Red.
He eventually made it back-stage but for some reason which we are yet to ascertain at the filing of this report, he failed to perform.
Subsequently, the artiste headed out to club Quilox where he was billed to host a pool party earlier in the day, but as a result of his family’s end of year party, he never made it to the event.

Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo grabbed a 41st minute goal on Monday which leads him to become the highest goal scorer in England this year.
Monday’s strike marks Ighalo’s 14th goal this season and 30th in total for 2015.
Although Watford maintained a less than average possession 43% to the visitor’s 57%, Ighalo and his teammates refused to give up to the 87th minute leaving the shoreline at 1-1.
Following Spur’s and Watford clash on Monday, it takes Odion’s Premier League tally for the season to 14, and his league goals to 30 in 2015, more than anyone else in the top four divisions of English football.

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto has announced a monetary donation of N500,000 to each of the 138 families of the 2015 hajj stampede from state.
A breakdown of the number of the victims showed that 114 pilgrims from Sokoto were confirmed dead, 22 are still missing while two are injured and receiving treatment.
A statement issued by Tambuwal's spokesman, Malam Imam Imam, said the Governor announced the donation while receiving the report of the 2015 hajj committee in Sokoto Tuesday.
Tambuwal said even though the government cannot compensate the families for the loss of their loved ones, the gesture was in fulfillment of the promise he made when the tragedy occurred in September this year.
He said the families have endured pains since the incident, and commended them for their patience and prayers.
He said government will continue to put in place measures that will enhance the hajj exercise by boosting safety and logistics of the pilgrims.
In his remarks, Leader of the state delegation to this year's hajj exercise and Deputy Governor of Sokoto, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu, said Sokoto pilgrims exhibited good conduct while in the Holy Land.
He appealed to the government to sustain the state feeding programme for pilgrims at transit camps at home and abroad, and announced that Kware and Gwadabawa local government areas have received special awards for maintaining good sanitation in Saudi Arabia.

Popular Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, is living the dream. The actor was recently bestowed with a title in Bamenda, Cameroon.
John who was in the country for a philanthropic work was bestowed with a royal title.
The title came with some plots of land as he disclosed.


“Thanks a lot to the people of Bamenda, Cameroon. Was given this beautiful regalia to signify the royal title bestowed upon me. I’m grateful. Oh, and the title comes with a lot of land too,” he said.
