As a typical Nigerian, everything will sound fishy to you. This is an honest opportunity being put forward by a start-up, and not some get-rich-quick scheme. If you're interested or you know someone who is and eligible, kindly refer. If not, kindly skip the ad. Thanks.

Hi Iranoladun, you seem to know much about this, so i have a question: What is the main purpose of placing this information in the newspapers? What section of the law specifies that it MUST be the newspapers? Or is it just that it has to be made public by some means or the other, or you just need to have a physical copy/record of the change? basically, can't I decide to make mine public by placing it online? what are the legal issue for/against this?

Thanks. It's just that I've been wondering what the logic is behind the newspaper thingy,
Good questions asked. Its why I subscribed to the website namechangenigeria. It's free for now and will soon be made official apparently. You just need to create a profile for yourself, and you can share the information to friends and family from there.
