Education / Re: I Am Not Taking This! My Baby Girl Deserves The 1st Position. 15as! by excelchips(m): 2:10pm On Dec 16, 2023 |
Your child's average is 91.1333%. If you want to know how your girl fared, look at the class average, then you can decide. Is it not all these private schools that award marks anyhow? In a situation where the class average is above 90%, do you think you will see any child that will have a B? Private schools these days award marks as they want, and you cannot blame them because if your child is not pampered and given a good mark, many parents will not hesitate to move their kids to another school. We, parents, cause most of the issues affecting education standards. Little time, parents will say, 'After all the money I'm paying and it is not reflecting.' We prefer to see kids giving scholarly performances even if they do not deserve it. I can bet it with you; most of the kids in the class have these excellent results you are presenting here. My kids back then, all of them came with such excellent results, but the class average tells you your kids' performance in relation to the class average. So, do not be overly joyous; no kids in private schools fail or have bad results anymore, unlike when you were in those government schools where teachers do not fear parents and give students what they truly deserve. 2 Likes |

You are the one that can advice yourself on this. It is personal journey. Traveling abroad with a tourist visa with the hope of getting stay is not easy oh. The only thing I can tell you is to look before you leap. Seek advise from people in that country the passion you getting stay after your tourist visa expired, the possibility of making it over there. It is the people that have navigated the route that can help you in this regard. There is good life in abroad but it doesn't come with easy especially to a new comers. It might take up to 2-3 years to get your footing that is if your focused So look before you leap. 1 Like |
Romance / Re: I’m Shy Around Guys, How Do I Overcome The Shyness by excelchips(m): 4:49pm On Jul 16, 2023 |
Your issue might be more of psycological. Being shy and introvert as the same time might signal some fundamental issues you might not recognise. These signals you are referring to are just the secondary/result which are visible to you. I will advise you seek professional advise. I have seen people with similar conditions finally diagnozed mental health issue. You just need to understand yourself and seek professional advise where possible. I believe it is manageable and can be overcome. There is no reason being shy around guys like you and being introvert can be good up to certain again but you have to outgrow it. Life is dynamic and should be lived to the fullest. |

Career / Re: Switching From Chemistry To Chemical Engineering by excelchips(m): 4:29pm On Dec 17, 2022 |
Hmmm, the world has moved away from this. Your future and prosperity, to a larger extent, have nothing to do with your course of study. Be a graduate, pray for luck, be prepared, and positioning yourself for opportunities are the others of the day. This is an area nobody can advise you about. The decision fully lies on you. I study Physics during my own time and I thank God today I studied it. Though, it flashed my mind then that I might end up being a teacher but I have worked as Satellite engineer, worked in biggest telecommunication company in Nigeria. So, these days JUST BE GOOD IN WHAT YOU DO, EVEN BE BETTER THE SKY IS THE LIMIT. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

That's the danger in a long-distance relationship. Why can't you engage your husband on the phone talk, chat, discuss whenever you have the hug and try to find something to keep you busy anytime you have the feeling? 2 Likes |
Romance / Re: Should I Forget About My Standard And Take The Risk? by excelchips(m): 9:34pm On Oct 08, 2022 |
All these your standard and the likes do not work when it comes to marriage. Forget you are rich and she is from a poor family. What matters most in a marriage is love and an undiluted one at that. Have you asked yourself why some well-read people end up marrying semi-illiterate or someone that does not up to their standard (let me borrow your word)? Think about our one-time Nigeria's first lady marrying a Ph.D. holder. You get to evaluate your future with someone that will be there for you in any situation you find yourself. Rich/wealth is very transient. She is educated, an NCE holder at that. The age difference is not bad, re-consider your priorities and come up with better yardsticks. What is the point of marrying a girl with all the qualities you listed and be in a marriage of hell? Relax and re-evaluate, please. Marriage isn't mathematic. Wish you the best. 2 Likes |

Hello my people, Kindly assist to clarify my issue. will schooling in any of the Russel group of schools would give a brighter chance of getting job after schooling. I have applied for an MSc in 2 UK universities though I'm still expecting their feedback but I'm being tempted to apply to Queen University Belfast being a member of Russel group of schools. However, the course fees are on the high side compared to others 2 but I'm now confused on the next step if the higher fees could justify it at the end. Though, I'm always ready for any challenge wherever I find myself but skeptical on what the future hold as regard getting job within 2 years allotted time for Post Study Work Visa. Thank you. |

Hello House, Please kindly assist with your candid advice on this. I have read severally in this forum people going to study in the UK bring in their family like. They apply together, get VISA and leave together, while some invite their spouse/family after spending sometimes in the UK and another wait to finish their study before inviting their family. Please, which of these options is better and what are the rationale behind picking each. I intend to finish the study before inviting my family but I don't understand if there is any immigration implication to this. Please, could experienced one throw more light on this process. Thank you. |
