Congratulations. You have a good GRE score and a monster GPA. Which of the Universities of California? The schools you sent your scores to are your reach schools. What you need to add now are less competitive, safer schools.

Okay, me saying two weeks might be a bit misleading because I had been on and off magoosh flash cards especially during lunch hours at work.
I took off two weeks from work which I devoted to Magoosh videos and official GRE guides.
Those material were very helpful.

I have been following this thread for a more than a year now and I must commend the people keeping alive.In the spirit of doing same, see my profile below

Undergraduate Major: Plant biology and Biotechnology
Intended program: PhD in molecular and Cell biology, I’m open other areas like bioinformatics, stem biology or cancer biology(might be a challenge given my discipline)

I sent my scores to four schools
Cornell
Ohio State University
Boston University
University of California

My AWA score was poor (2.5) and I thought I killed it considering how relatively simple the topics were and how lengthy I wrote on them. I had 2 weeks to prepare for GRE and only read for AWA few hours to exams, I just gleaned info I could on Nairaland and watched YouTube videos on it.

Considering my profile, please I need advice on other ambitious and safe schools

first class is for yourself and does not help the society in anyway.
All you did was to pass exams


However, if such monies are channelled to those who did good and meaningful research that profers tangible solutions to the society, then it will be a good thing

If not, the first class graduate is as useless as the BBN finalists

it seems applicants cannot edit anymore .......seems it is over .....because i have been trying to edit my application but it cant ....and someone earlier warned that it is not safe to edit your application after submission .....PTDF site though....Na wah oh .....

i cant even find my schools and courses selected again .....while i was trying to edit my application ......displaying error in loading university ...

and the site closes 2 days from now ...

I noticed same thing on my page too but I’ve written a mail to them about it.

Anyway, from my findings, I learnt you served in Rivers state. Pls can you point out any place I can work in this state apart from schools. I toured Trans Amadi industrial layout today and it was all one story to another. How did you cope in the state?

Alright but I think an interview session would thrill them as I'm very versatile. I think I can convince them with little or no reasonable doubt that I'm an excellent fit for the job.

Well, It depends on the LGA you're posted to.
PHC and Obia/Akpor are the best but they are also quite expensive.

Thwy also have riverine areas... some people enjoyed it but nahh I never wanted that.
I was posted to Obia/Akpor.
