You can't blame anybody. Nairaland is a blog site owned by a private individual. They chose what they blog about and what needs to be on the frontpage. It's the duty of MTN to communicate that to their customers. Where you're affected by the service downtime and didn't get the notification from MTN, then you can sue MTN and claim damages.

If you notice, the frontpage sometimes is not updated after 10pm, that shows the moderators don't work 24/7. This same post was made past 11pm. The best they could do is move it to frontpage the next day. If you were not notified by your service provider and experienced difficulties at the time, then you can now know why it was that way. Either way, information is passed.

NO I CAN BLAME THE MODS
This is not a peculiar case.
This has become a norm on Nairaland for mods to move important news to the front page sometimes days after the entire world have digested the news and move on.
This case is not a one-off.
When I say if we depend on Nairaland for news report we would be days behind the rest of the world I am not just talking about this alone. Somw times at 9am you still have nothing new on the front page

Most posts on nairaland frontpage are not current because there were posted on the other sections (forum) of the website and the moderator(s) responsible for pushing them to frontpage delayed or feel there are not worth it compared to other trending posts.

That is why i am blaming Nairaland.
When a thread like this is created the onus is on the mods to move it to frontpage ASAP for a wider coverage.
It is useless moving it to frontpage in the morning.
