Sad.

The war ended 48 years ago,and these guys still carry this bitterness?Liberia, Sierra Leone and Rwanda lost millions of their Citizen's in the 90's and they are healing well.

This hate will not take you guys anywhere.

difference being that it is not robbed in their face that they are a defeated people through appointments, rehabilitation, reconciliation and reconstruction. the war was fought in the east and reconstruction started in the west and north even the president borrowed over $2b to reconstruct the north east and the east got none.

I am sure there won't be any reconciliation in those countries if their government is behaving like the Nigerian govt.

Business / Re: Thailand’s Rice Export To Nigeria Drops By 91% by explorer250(m): 7:21am On Jan 15, 2018
yes they don't need to export to Nigeria directly. just export to some neighbouring countries on the request of Nigeria importers then smuggle it through the borders.

We know that there is no form of improvement in local production. you don't ban rice when local production is not sufficient

lol. bros the difference BTW both of us is that I discovered that I can control my destiny. the solutions to my problems are around me and I can achieve anything I want through smartness and hardwork. I don't need prayers to solve my problems, I confront them, analyze them and use my brain to proffer solutions. religion is a limitation and a scam.

pls op becareful of what you are saying, do you know what 200 mega watts is? even the total power transfered to each state in Nigeria is not up to 200 mega watts( do the maths 5000 mega watts divided by 36 states pls abuja gives you about 100+ megawatts per state) so how on earth can that small thing generate 200 megawatts? kudos to the boy though, our EE students of these days can't even do that.

Am writing an article on this topic, please lets try to produce facts not something out of hate or politics, I think Abia State should be on the 5th list from all researches I have made.
Abia State produces about 36,000 barrels of crude oil per day of which Imoturu produces about 23,000 per day
, Abia has over 3 oil flow station , and has recovered about 46 oil Wells from Rivers state of which 50 of Abia State oil Wells are held by shell
Source https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abia_State

Please if any one have an information about oil Wells in Ondo state pleas let's know the location,I have search but couldn't find at present
don't forget to mention me

IMO state has more oil than abia state because only one LGA host production in abia state and it is only operated by one oil company known as shell oil company. I reside in abia state and I know that. I was born in obiakpu egbema and my father's mother comes from oguta so I basically know everything about oil producing areas in IMO state.

oguta local government is divided two sections by the njaba river(this river is given different names based on the communities it passes through)known as oguta 1 and oguta 2. oguta 2 consist of two towns namely agwa and izombe which is made up of several communities and over nine other communities such as ejemekwuru, mgbele, nkwesi(site for the lords chosen university),orsu-obodo,ezi-orsu,abiaziem,kalabari etc.

NOW LET US LOOK AT OIL PRODUCING AREAS OF OGUTA 1
NOTE THROUGHOUT OGUTA 1 ONLY ADDAX PETROLEUM OPERATES IN THE AREA.

if you are entering oguta local government from owerri via irete/ogbaku the first oguta community you will come across is ejemekuru which doesn't produce oil but immediately after that community you will enter izombe town which host about four oil producing communities and oil fields.
Izombe is popular because it has been producing oil since the 1950s and the oil has not yet dried up. the company drilling oil in izombe is addax oil company.

mgbele and nkwesi oil fields have dried up(very unfortunate) so that leaves us to two other oil producing communities by the name ezi-orsu and orsu-obodo which has one oil field each. and as usual the company drilling oil in these two communities is addax petroleum. I have heard about kalabari as an oil bearing communiy in oguta2 but I have been there but has not yet seen their oil facilities, I was meant to understand that it is located at their farming areas known as ikpa(my fellow igbos will understand).

NOW LET US MOVE TO OGUTA 1 THE HEADQUARTERS OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

Oguta 1 is made of oguta town(the headquarters) which has several communities which are oil bearing and the company drilling the oil is agip.

a 3rd class graduate from futo is equivalent to a 2.1graduate in most universities in Nigeria. futo is a place where money can't buy you grades especially in engineering. have you wondered why you hardly hear about cult activities in futo? that is because everybody is busy pursuing GP in the hard way. So don't be surprised because that is the hottest department in futo right now

thank God I came across this thread......op I am passing through the same problem..mine can still be checked now hopefully...I just gained admission into futo to study agr engineering...I plan to change course immediately after year one..what can I do to ensure a successful change of course after year one and why didn't you go through with yours when entering year two...it can be so frustrating and i am disappointed each I remember the course which I was admitted to.
you should know that a lot of things happens in year one. you need at least 3.5 to switch over to the department you want and maybe lower if you have the right connection. just pray that you have a successful year one because mine was greeted with missing scripts in maths, philosophy and igbo.

Hmm , ask yourself this question what do you really want??

Are you in school for passion or for financial success. Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years ( An Engr , business mogul e.t.c).

We go to school for different reasons , most for financial success, some to fulfill all righteousness of being a graduate, some due to parental pressure.

What is really your goal??

I might be wrong, but if you think being an Mechatronics Engr equates to financial success, you are on a long thing( for dis naija). But if your parent are well grounded financially and can sponsor you to get all professional qualification after grad, then go for it.
But if na hustle you wan hustle for naija, baba continue with your AGEng.

Lemme use my self as example, my first Jamb I choose unilorin, Med and sug, but I was denied admission. The following year, I chose Lautech Med Lab, I was give agric science.
When I knew that what I really want in life is to be financially buoyant, I went for my animal science. During my stay in Lautech, we were on strike for 2 years, I had to cross to a private Uni to follow my passion Med Lab. Even though am studying the course I really want, I am not deluded by the fact that am in Nigeria, where the course you studied doesn't matter. You can study Yoruba and be successful.

Let assume you get the admission next year, by 21, adding 6-7 years to your age , that is close to 30 bro. You have not done masters, no certification , no work experience, just B.eng. Most firms today prefer younger bloods to old grad.

Weigh your options bro.

I have weighed my options and calculations. I will graduate at 25/26 including my youth service if I get admission next year.

it is not just about the money bro it is also about the passion. before I graduate I want to be an asset through personal development and starting afresh will buy me more time and give me the required field to develop myself. I have already designed three websites for some people and I made over 180k from that. I believe that if I add value to myself through acquisition of skills, money will surely come with it.

Okay, good. but dont still relent on ur present course, do both study simultaneously.
Wish you the best in your prospect!

I have some videos but I must tell you it feels boring. I strongly recommend using android mobile apps such as solo learn and udemy. preferably solo learn. I have completed HTML, CSS, java script, mysql, php, python and java. trust me you will not regret using the app.

We can’t make his decision for him. Tell him points and let him decide for himself.

I ought to be in 400L by Feb. myself, instead I’ll be starting afresh.

I may not know how depressed he is, but in my case, I couldn’t bare being in my departmental classes. I couldn’t even relate well with my colleagues(and in return, out of ignorance, they tagged me “Mr. Pride”).

Sure, he can go for two certificates at the end of the day. It only depends on him.

just like me! I don't relate with people in my department and I only roll with people in mechanical, electrical and Mechatronics. my soul is just not in agric Engr. my eyes opened after my 300l because futo starts departmentals fully on 300l. I was learning about crop and animals and I was very annoyed because I can't imagine learning things like that which offends my spirit.

I was very young then I never knew much abt universities being d only son so I chose Funaab in jamb, wasn't admitted had to apply in one state uni and I was given accounting education but I wasn't happy with the course because my thinking was that I will become a teacher in the future so I collected another jamb the following year scored 213 and 59.63 in post jamb wen d cut off was 62 so I wasn't admitted
had to continue with d acct edu so think very well before u make Ur decision, talk to Ur parent before taking any step cos with Ur age I don't think u are d one paying Ur sch fees

I am not quitting school. just want to write jamb and starts afresh in the department I want. if I don't get admission I will simply continue with my AGE.

Bro, I was in this condition this time last year. I’m a student of Food Science and Tech. I know of the sleepless nights, the crying, and the depression. All these things controlled my life until I took another Jamb, even my friends look at me whenever I mention the possible switching. And oh! I’m in 300L

Two weeks ago or so I finally got admitted to a course I recently realized that suits me. By the second week of January 2018, I’ll be starting afresh and at a laughable age.

These people can’t (and hopefully won’t) know how you feel presently. Block them out. Take a moment to visualize if you would be doing the right thing to start afresh. Then decide for yourself.

Bros. you are the only one that understands how I feel. I think I have already made up my mind to write jamb this next year. I know that I will make it in Mechatronics because I am very skilled and an asset. Mechatronics will buy me more time and give me the right opportunity to develop myself the more. my only problem is how to confront my parents about it but I know that I still do it no matter their decision. the only thing that can stop me is if I don't get admission into Mechatronics after taking this jamb.
